I was a first time customer and my first experience was a nightmare. I picked out a product I really wanted and they were insistent that i order something else. They ordered tile without my consent and they wanted me to pick it up and pay for it. I have the emails saying I didn't order this particular tile. The tile I originally wanted came in and they wanted payment on top of what I paid already instead of crediting me for the first set I never ordered. Finally my tile arrived and I accepted it to get it over with and realized they overcharged me so now I have a credit I can't use because i will never shop there again. I already have talked to a real professional in the industry and I'm getting the correct products at a third of the price. They can keep my credit since they're going to need it when the business goes under. Very unprofessional! read more

Waited two months for our tile, three months later we decided to cancel our order and go with another store that sold similar tile. Waited THREE weeks to get our money back, ended up claiming our money back with the help of our bank. Customer service is crap, with so much competition out there, I would stay away from this place. read more

We were heading to another tile place nearby and passed by Richmond tile, we decided to stop in. We were assisted by Katelyn Dessner who was friendly, very patient and helpful. She assisted us with selecting tiles for our newly constructed bathroom. We were going for a certain look and with our description she was able to show us options. The stock guy was quick and great, he loaded the tiles, thinset, grout and chrome trim onto my truck. Had to go back to pick up another 2 boxes of tiles after I decided to do the ceiling as well, I went to the front desk, gave them my name and they were able to see my order and get me out in 5 minutes. Great place to get your tiles. Nice showroom and Rose made our experience even easier with her help and suggestions. I thought the prices were reasonable enough, but it was the knowledgeable staff that really matters when you're buying something and you're out of your comfort zone. Good place to get your tiles if you're looking for any tile job regardless of your budget because it seems like they will be able to meet most of anyone's needs. Pricing was negotiated and a deal was made. Other stores either didn't have the selection or the knowledge this store has behind it. read more

This place has an amazing amount of tile, bathtubs, sinks, and toilets. You probably wouldn't go here unless you were planning on doing some remodeling, which maybe I know someone who is, so we went to look at tile! Kudos for an enormous showroom, an amazing variety of tile, and and a good variety of everything else. Tricky to get here, so bring your GPS, and beware, salespeople are somewhat clingy. read more

Rose Fava at Richmond Tile has been an angel to work with. She patiently helped me pick out and decorate my new home. I have an old Victorian house and she helped me to maintain the style. I now have such a beautiful Victorian bathroom that looks like it's straight out of a magazine. Now we are working on the kitchen and bedrooms and it's coming along superb. You know it's serious, when this is the 1st review I've written for Yelp or any business in general. Highlights: 1. Showroom was absolutely gorgeous. Great product placement, lighting, and information available for the products. 2. Professional Sales people. We were greeted, left to roam, and once we were ready, so were they. Our sales person Bernadette was knowledgeable, kind, and funny. She was able to hone in on our needs, make suggestions, and offered great service. There was no pressure to buy NOW and lots of suggestions on best ways to design and save as well. Overall great experience & I'm so glad we went here first. read more

I purchased an expensive tub and fixtures from this store and Rose was our salesperson. Were there problems that came about with this order? Sure, but Rose was there to help us with any issue we had. One of the fixtures had problems, twice, and all we had to do was call Rose, who contacted the manufacturer on our behalf and made sure we received a replacement. I truly appreciate her assistance before, during and after the sale. Sometimes sales people forget about you once the sale is complete. Not Rose. I highly recommend Richmond Tile and Rose to anyone. read more

Update: I was contacted by a woman from Richmond Ceramic Tile who apologized for my experience and invited me back to make a purchase. However, my bathroom had already been remodeled and completed and I no longer needed to make a purchase. I appreciate the apology and acknowledgement of my experience. I would NEVER give them my business!! Someone recommended me to go there because they have a nice selection and as I first time customer I walked in the store and after a few minutes a sales person approached me and asked me if I needed help. As I told her what I was looking for she told me that "the store is closing in 2 minutes". I was so taken back and asked her If she is implying that I leave and she said "well we are open tomorrow" I never in my life have ever been forced out of a store because they were about to close. After speaking with many people they confirm that they are very stuck up! They need to take that family business and remember when they got started!! Shameful!!! read more

I found this company while searching for a specific type of grout. They had almost everything I needed in stock at a better price than I had seen advertised anywhere. I live in Brooklyn and my folks drove out to Staten Island to pick up the grout. My folks made a mistake and picked up some regular grout for one color I needed. Richmond Tile ordered what I needed and allowed me to exchange the regular grout. The staff was very friendly and informative. I will happily make a trip to their store if I need any other tile or grout. read more

If you are remodeling your house you have to come to Richmond Tile. They have everything that no one else has. I went to all the home improvement stores at least twice and never found what I wanted. The minute I walked into Richmond Tile I was greeted by one of their designers and within 5 minutes of us talking to eachother, we basically had my bathroom all figured out. Katelyn, our designer didn't stop at the design of the tile she helped us figure out all of our plumbing and showed us how to waterproof our new bathroom. I cannot stress enough the level of customer service, it is like no other. Allison at the counter took great care of us as well, let us know all of the dates our tiles would be arriving and gave us grout ideas that would bring out our tile. read more

Purchased tile here for my bathroom. Loved the tile, sales rep helped with a beautiful design, bathroom came out beautiful. I have one complaint...tile was on "clearance" which apparently was being discontinued. Was not made aware of the "clearance " rules of NOT RETURNABLE until everything was sketched out and on the invoice it was pointed out. After all the effort that went into the design I was not going to start picking out another tile. Had my contractor go over measurements with sales rep and was good to go. Ended up with 7 unopened boxes of tile left totaling close to 400.00. When I confronted my contractor he couldn't understand why he usually figures 1 extra box. Went back to sales rep and asked if they knew why and would they take it back I would even take a credit. Owner never even came out , no one even went over measurements to see why this happened was only told contractor wanted extra!!!well not 7 boxes extra!!! I think they just wanted to get rid of as much as they could. They would not take any of it back so I am stuck with 7 boxes of tile. I think this was totally unprofessional and will go elsewhere the next time I need tile. read more

I went crazy looking for tiles at all tile places I was in Richmond ceramic at first no one seemed to help finally I had gotten help on like my 7th visit I was working with someone that is no lol ne'er there which I am relieved because I kept telling her what I was looking for and she kept showing the opposite or would put things together that just didn't match then I had gone back and found my angel Rose Fava she is a god sent she helped me with everything gave me her true opinions which I truly liked she helped me design my newly built house I trusted her opinions and help I think there show room is awesome they have the highest quality of grout thin set .. my one regret is that I found tiles for my master bath at cassale tile on victory my order was short I had to go back 3 times to get more tile the grout they gave me was AWFUL the taupe grout turned white after it dried and I had to scrape the grout out and bought my grout from Richmond tile and unbelievably my light grout turned dark when it dried I really thought my tile guys made a mistake and I made them mix the grouts in front of me the grout went on dark n dried white and the same for the light grout I never heard of such a thing ... so far what we got from Richmond ceramic has been awesome no shortness of tiles grout perfect and I owe it all to rose if you want the best ask for rose but she is off on Wednesday's she knows everything inside and out in that store ... by the way I never write reviews but I needed to because I would of never got my house done without the help of rose and all the beautiful tiles they have . read more

Completely professional and knowledgeable salesperson in Judy S. She not only showed me tile, but gave me some design ideas that I did not even consider due to lack of knowledge on this subject. I would use this company again in the future, and I would definitely recommend "tapping into" Judy's considerable talents. My wife and I have used Richmond Ceramic Tile for numerous remodeling jobs over the last 20 years. Their customer service, especially Paul Stuart , has been second to none. They are competitive with price and also offer some decorating services. From the owner to the guys that work in the warehouse the customer is always treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in the process of gutting our kitchen and once again used the services of Richmond Ceramic . It is also nice giving our local business a boost and keeping Staten Island vibrant.
