When I arrived at the showroom, I was blown away by the variety of styles, finishes, and designed vignettes. It really helped me narrow down my vision and inspired so many ideas. What sets Kitchen Expo apart is the range they offer from stock, semi-custom, and fully custom cabinetry in a variety of styles and price points. I wasn't quite sure what to expect cost wise. But they guided me through the design process patiently, helping me explore different options that worked with my vision and my budget. I left feeling confident and excited, knowing I had chosen a kitchen I truly love. To my surprise, the Vice President came out to offer her insight and I had the pleasure of meeting Brian, the owner, who was wonderful. They both helped me work through some of my design ideas, mixing and matching colors with the flooring samples I brought in. Led by Lily my designer extraordinaire, Viki, and Brian they made me feel like I was part of a family, not just another customer. There was no pressure, no pushy sales just support, flexibility, and amazing ideas. When I was torn between 2 cabinet styles, they talked it through with me with patience and understanding. In the end I paid almost 50% more for mid grade cabinets - this is compared to what I would later find at other companies for the same exact brand and make. I would not recommend them to anyone. I had this nagging feeling that I was being taken advantage of as a woman, but was so motivated to complete my kitchen, I ignored my gut. This experience taught me to not ignore your intuition.

Update 1/9: Sheldon's carpenter finally came. It took close to a month to have him come, but we…read morealso have to factor in the holidays. The carpenter took two hours and was careful to align everything as well as he could. He took the time to explain what he was doing and when I pointed out a few places I was still not happy with, he adjusted the doors and drawers again without complaints. However two cabinet doors were not "long" enough to cover the boxes (meaning I can still see the oak cabinets behind the doors) and he explained that it was because of warping... which isn't obvious until everything is aligned... I called then wrote an email with pictures to Sheldon. I'm awaiting to see how this part will be handled. I'm adding a star to account for the carpenter sent without charge. But will be adjusted based on how this (hopefully) last issue will be handled.
