I did a gut renovation of my apartment several years ago and used NY Loft for the kitchen. Ana…read moredesigned it, and Iko made it and installed it. It's been well over five years now, and it still looks good. The good: Everything is solid, and high quality. The manufacturing is as local as local can get - as it is made just a few miles away, but you'd swear it was made in Italy, given the craftsmanship. The local manufacturing was a huge plus for me, as I wanted to keep my carbon footprint small. The installation went as well as could be expected - every major kitchen install is complicated and filled with issues. The could-be-better: There was a lot of conflict between my architect, my contractor, and NY Loft. I doubt you would have any such issues if you just use NY Loft as your designer, contractor, and installer. But if you need them to work with others, and have others work with them, stand back, because there will be major fireworks. In spite of that, everything got done. The bottom line is that they were trustworthy, and they got the job done, and it all looks good and functions well. They are headstrong and have tempers, and they may not always play nice with others, but when all is said and done, they are professional. The project might take a while, and there will be bumps along the way. Kitchens are complicated, and any kind of renovation in NYC is especially complicated. However, I would recommend NY Loft to anyone who is willing to go the distance in a renovation - they'll go the distance for you.

Excellent pricing, fabrication and installation. Anyone who has done a kitchen knows how stressful the entire process could be, however Professional Countertops made the granite process a breeze. Jacob and Peter came out immediately after the cabinet installer finished to make our templates. The next week our amazing granite countertops were installed. It is the most exquisite piece of jewelry in the kitchen. We would not hesitate to recommend this amazing company. My friend was doing her kitchen at the same time and coincidentally we both chose the same granite. Her installer was charging her so much more. She used Professional Countertops and was very happy with everything.

We chose Alfano because we felt comfortable with them and they provided the most detailed and inclusive quote of the 4 contractors we received a quote from. Michael Jr. was extremely helpful in design and finding the right components for the style we wanted. Alfano was also the cleanest contractor we have used, and they were very respectful of the rest of our living space during construction. Easy to work with, outstanding results, on time and on budget. He put up some of the shelving in the bathrooms then said he ran out of anchors and that he'd be right back after he went to get some. Instead of coming back and finishing the work we hired him for, he texted to get more money (after quoting us a flat rate for the project) and said he wouldn't finish the job without being paid more. Since I had pulled ALL OF MY CLOTHES OUT of the closets in order to get the shelves done, we agreed, and then we Paypal'd him... and he never showed back up! Unreal. I called and he didn't answer, and texted to no response. He never texted back, never called back. On top of what kind of person does that, I also noticed that he didn't even screw in any of the screws into the shelves where they meet the brackets so they are not secured, and one bracket is upside down. So now I'm going to have to hire someone to fix his work, on top of hiring someone else to finish the job. Unbelievable. I'm pregnant and am trying to get my apartment unpacked. I pulled everything out of my closets today so that he could install shelving in there, and he didn't do any of those shelves before he left, even though I explained that to him. He only did a fraction of the shelves we hired him for (bathrooms only) and didn't even finish those so this is now a complete mess and we are out the $ we paid him for. Do not hire this person, he's a scammer with no conscience apparently and doesn't even do good work.
