My wife went to The Tile Shop in Edison with an explicit list from my GC to buy a laundry list of tiles, grout, caulk, etc. in specific quantities and dimensions in order to fulfill the job. It already contemplated an extra buffer for potential overage and the shopping list was specifically crafted with precise quantities for this exact purpose. The Assistant Manager, Rebekah Villa, went out of her way to override the prescribed list and she told my wife that she needed to purchase this amount of extra materials, these additional grouts and caulks, additional composite materials that came pre-mixed which were necessary for the project, etc. Rebekah then specifically said that it would not be a problem if we needed to return any amount of quantity because she would be happy to return anything in any quantity because she just wanted us to be able to complete the project. My wife has no expertise in home renovation and so she naturally listened to a professional. In fact, an Assistant Manager. Even putting aside the mishaps and logistic issues of the delivery aside, after the project is done - I am told by the Edison Tile Shop that I am unable to return the overage that Rebekah said I could return. The product that was explicitly sold to my unsuspecting wife above-and-beyond our prescribed list from the GC with the assurance that (a) it was necessary for the project and we could not proceed without it and (b) Rebekah's guarantee that we could return the product back with no conditions because she just wanted make sure we were satisfied. As it turns out, I cannot return the majority of this faulty purchase. The Manager, Natalia Garcia, says she fired her Assistant Manager, Rebekah, because of Rebekah's prior indiscretions. But apparently the victims of Rebekah's indiscretions will not be made whole and I will have to eat the financial cost of Rebekah's aggressive sales commission driven agenda and Natalia's poor hiring choice. The Manager, Natalia Garcia, specifically told me that I will have to "take the L," to use her words. It seems I am the one that has to pay for Tile Shop's employees' indiscretions. read more

Krupa is the best! We sent her a picture of a painting that we love for the bathroom room and she helped us with awesome recomendations that made the sales selection painless. She had really good choices ahead of our visit and we were in and out and in our budget. I would definatley recomend this over the big box stores because Krupa is something that they cannot offer. read more

I visited the tile shop on 1-28-23 and worked with Luanne who was very helpful. We picked tile and I used a credit card which went through and i signed the authorization slip and we agreed i would pick my tile up 2-4-23. Upon arrival on pickup, I was told the card did not go through and the order could not be released until it was paid which i understand but i should of been notified long before i showed up to pick up my tile. Come to find out there was fraud on my card which is why it was not paid. I then asked if i could bring a business check and pay and the response was YES. I show up a second time 25 miles away with a check and i am then told i would have to wait until my check cleared before they could release my order. I called every other day to check on status and told by Mikah check did not clear yet. this went on until 2-20-23 when i checked with my bank to find out the check cleared on 2-14-23. So basically, they have had my money and my tile and i was left with a dusty house, 1 less bathroom and a whole lot of frustration. I then called Mikah back and asked for a number of someone that could help me in corporate and was told there is no one to talk to until i told them i would leave negative reviews because how i am being treated was not expectable. I called corporate and today 2-21-23 i received a call back from the regional manager and he basically told me they use a 3rd party company, and they said my checks are not good. I have never ever bounced a check in my life and indirectly called a dead beat. He then said i need to send him proof of the check clearing my bank and then they would help getting it released. My issue is they have had the funds since the 14th, today is the 21st and i guess they want me to do all the work to provide proof. I would never ever do business with this company ever again and i would suggest others find alternative solutions. read more

My contractor recommended The Tile shop at Wayne, NJ for selection of tiles for two bathrooms I am remodeling and, he told me to make an appointment with Mark. He was excellent and patient in working with me ad my wife by spending more than two hours to pick up everything we need as part of difficult process of bathroom remodeling. I spent about 5 hours picking out my tile and finally ordered over $2000 in bathroom wall tile in satin. I was charged $200 for delivery and the tile took 3 weeks to arrive. In the mean time I had a sample of the tile and dragged it all over New Jersey to find an accent tile and a shower floor that complemented that tile and finish. My contractor put the tile up on the wall only for me to realize that they had sent the polished version of the tile. When I came into the store Dante, the manager, told me they had simply ordered the wrong tile for me. My options were to leave the tile that no longer matched anything else I had picked or have my contractor rip it off the wall, replace the dry wall, and set me back about a week. Neither of them ideal. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more

My experience at the Langhorne store was awesome. I went in there not expecting to buy but was gladly mistaken. Chris the salesman was friendly and very knowledgeable, also did not try to upscale me to a more expensive product. Listened to what I needed and lead me to the best tile for the job and went out of his way to get me an awesome price. Wish I went there sooner so I didn't have to deal with other flooring stores in the same area which had horrible experiences. Our budget did not match our high end taste. Not a problem at The Tile Shop. Our sales rep Ahmed at the Edison location guided us to a beautiful alternative solution without being pushy. Pricing was right. Product was available within our tight time frame as the 47 year old bathroom makeover was a rush job for my mother who was getting out of the hospital in 1 1/2 weeks! We are very happy with the bright, clean, larger feel and spa like look of the completed project. We used the Carrara Gris Ceramic Wall Tile - 10 x 13 in. Item 485574. This is my second review for the Tile Shop. My first visit there was several years ago to purchase tiles for a new kitchen and bath in my home. I now live in a condo and recently had my two bathrooms renovated. Luann assisted me in selecting the right tiles, and she sensed right away what I was looking for. I came into the store knowing only that I was going to purchase a navy vanity for the master bathroom. That was all. Luann helped me with the rest. She was much more than a salesperson. Luann was my design consultant. That is how I felt about her. Luann has a great sense of color and design and knows how to put it all together. She suggested a beautiful, subtle blue Annie Selke tile for one of my shower walls and for a small section of the wall above the vanity, and gorgeous white tiles for the surrounding walls. She also recommended just the right floor and shower tile that would pull it all together. My second bathroom is equally as beautiful as the first. Thank you Luann! I would not hesitate to recommend you and The Tile Shop to anyone. I was approached by a salesperson immediately upon entering the store but in the middle of talking to me she asked another customer if they needed help. Apparently they were going to spend a lot more on their job than I was because after that she couldn't be bothered. Hope they had a good experience. Will never go back. read more

This place was just a blessing! Yes I could have gone to another tile store that may have been a little less pricey but everything you need is here! They work with you in pricing and your budget. When renovating a bathroom things come up and you will need extra tiles and last minute items. Thankfully Ahmed was there to help. He was great not pushy and very accommodating to our needs. Put the design together and cared. I think I went to the shop like 5 - 6 times and if I had gone somewhere else they would close at 5 pm and only open mon -Friday. I cannot tell you how grateful I was to have the store open for late hours and on the weekends. Ahmed was just the best. I cannot tell you how glad I was to work with him and our project. The end result was just amazing. Thankful for Ahmed and this store. The shop itself has beautiful bathrooms that you can choose from that will make it easy for you to choose your style. read more

Chris , the manager was helpful and really respectful, I had a bit of a problem with the shipping people, Chris made it right , he came to my house and helped unload truck and anything that was broken he replaced, delivered it himself! We've been in and out of tile stores all week and were getting tired because everything started to look the same. Also because most stores only had a couple of displays and then we walked into The Tile Shop. There were rows and rows of tiles and plenty of displays to give you ideas. We were immediately greeted by Natalia. She knew we were overwhelmed by the selection so she let us walk around until we had questions or needed help. Once we had an idea, Natalia and Dante went into action designing and giving us plenty of options to fit our budget. They were super friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. We left with samples in hand and a design we were in love with. They also offer a store credit card which gave us a pretty good discount. I highly recommend the Tile Shop and see Dante and Natalia. I've been on the hunt for a tile store that has not only a great selection, but a knowledgable staff, decent prices, and many examples of their tile in use. I walked into the The Tile Shop of Edison thinking I'd found just that. Uh, not quite. The place is like a giant warehouse of tile with many items on display in a way in which it's easy for the customer to peruse the store. The entire perimeter of the store is lined with actual bathroom examples which was super helpful; I really liked that. As well, they have a selection I've not seen elsewhere and I quickly fell in love with some tile for my bathroom project. I was immediately approached by a young, 20-ish looking sales guy. I quickly dismissed him because I hadn't taken but a step into the store. I made it up a few aisles and noticed another youngish sales girl walking around as well as two older salespeople. The place was pretty empty, despite a huge Labor Day sale they were having. I had picked out two of the three tile selections when I was approached by on of the older salesmen, who after me telling him I wasn't ready for help yet, was eagerly trying to sell me on in-house grout, caulk, and some kind of shower liner for the bottom of the shower, which I don't need since I'm doing using a RediTile shower pan.It was at that point that he informed me that, "All prices were negotiable." I was wondering why he was telling me that outright, but decided to pocket that information. I even showed him the picture of the shower pan and found it humorous that before showing it to him, he seemed perplexed as to what it was but the moment he saw it he said, "Oh yeah. Very popular product. VERY popular! I'm actually going to use in my next bathroom remodel." He really hadn't a clue as to what it was, and that's fine, but pretending like you do just sends up a red flag. And then he kept trying to sell me on that red liner. I asked him a bunch of questions including the thickness of the tile I'd already selected (my contractor was requiring I get a thicker tile) and he b.s.'ed me about something completely different and slipped into the conversation that the tile was "a little less than 1/2"," which might not work for me. I then asked him about contractor discounts. I told him that I know for a fact that at any other tile place (like Standard Tile) the typical discount was *at least* 30% for contractors. He told me that the price that they get is based on the price of the purchase and that the best he could do for me was 25%. This was truly laughable! He then reeled off a bunch of prices saying, "...you know, over $2,000 price we give a better discount..." and so on. I asked him to show me sills and saddles. He said that they don't call them saddles, but rather "thresholds." I check out the selection and then ask to see the sills. He said, "that must be a new product that we don't have." He apparently doesn't know that they're one in the same. So I proceed to continue checking out floor tile and he tells me that no one these days uses ceramic on floors saying, "Really, ceramic is meant for walls. People these days are going more for marble, travertine. It makes a nicer bathroom." Really truly laughable. Not that I wouldn't want marble or travertine - I hadn't even decided on what I wanted at that point - but he was so transparent in trying to sell me a more expensive product and more additional products that I didn't need or want, that the whole experience left me wanting a shower to wash off the layer of grease from his transparent and repeated sales pitches. My last question to him was about one of the tiles I'd selected for my shower. I asked if there was any matching bullnose to go with it. I mean, how would I finish off the edges without it? Just then my phone rings. He took the tile sample from me and headed out back behind the showroom into another room just for the salespeople. I went out front to take my call but could see him from the front of the store behind the doors just standing there looking my way the entire time. I ended my call and proceeded to walk towards him and he said, "This is a new product and there is no matching bullnose." I asked if he could show me ANY bullnose, that I hadn't seen any on display at all in the store. He said they, "have to special order from the catalog. We have none on display in the store." At this point, I knew that he was a trained salesman and not a trained tile expert. Nothing that this "salesman" said added up and in the end, I decided to leave. I'm giving this place two stars *only* for the fact that the store is beautifully laid out, the displays were really suburb and tastefully done, and their selection is quite nice. However, I recommend that they properly train their staff as to the basics of tile and tile installation. Had the store not been as nice, this would be a one-star review. read more

I really appreciated that the staff showed interest in me as a valued customer but did not circle over me like vultures. Very classy demeanor. I wish every sales person behaved this way. I browsed the store and asked them questions and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. I will be buying tile here very soon. Selection is nice and the store is organized into sections of types of tile so no wasting time wandering down every aisle to find every last marble tile variation. Excellent selection and excellent service. We remodeled our kitchen and bathroom (gut reno) this fall and bought all our tile from The Tile Shop. Ahmed helped us pick out a fantastic backsplash combination after our initial choice (glass subway tile and stainless steel tiles) priced out too high for our budget. He is honest, never pushy, super knowledgeable about the product, installation, combining patterns, etc. We are in love with the greenish Carrera marble tiles that Ahmed helped us find for the kitchen. We also can't stop enjoying how beautifully our bathroom came out. This shop has so many beautiful bathroom displays that it was hard deciding on just one with so many great options. Once we settled on our favorite bathroom option, Ahmed and Kevin helped us design our bathroom using the floor model as our inspiration. We've never designed/renovated a bathroom, so their guidance was extremely important for us. They had fantastic suggestions. We are very pleased that we went to The Tile Shop and are so happy with the quality of product, customer service, and prices (very much negotiable). read more

I recently remodeled my kitchen and purchased all of my tile from The Tile Shop, Edison, NJ. My salesperson, Ahmed, was absolutely amazing! He was knowledgeable, patient, kind and always available. Remodeling a kitchen is a huge and stressful undertaking, but Ahmed made my experience pleasant. I could easily have gone to other tile stores, but decided to make my purchase at this store based on the honesty and attention that I was shown by him. I visited/called The Tile Shop at least 6 times, and never felt that I was annoying him. Each time he sat with me and answered all of my questions. If I changed my mind about something, it wasn't a problem. Never was I made to feel uncomfortable, nor was I pushed to make a decision that I didn't feel good about.The store itself is amazing! There is so much material to choose from. I felt like a kid in a candy store :) Everything I wanted/needed to beautify my kitchen was right at my fingertips. Unfortunately, some of my tiles got cracked after the floor was installed. Since I choose travertine, a natural stone, it was very difficult to get replacement tiles that were the same color. The store manager, Chris, drove out to Pennsylvania to another location just to get the correct tiles for me. Who does that these days for customers???
