Exceptional customer focus with the right pricing! Richmond Discount Appliance is a local shop that carries all lines of appliances from budget-friendly options to high-end brands like Viking, Wolf, and more. After moving into our house we discovered that all the appliances (top quality) the previous owner left us had been purchased from Richmond Discount Appliance. Since then, we've been shopping at this store for over 10 years. Whenever we need an appliance - whether for our home or a rental - Richmond Discount Appliance is our first stop. We always receive personal attention, with store representative working with us for as long as it takes to find the best solution. Deliveries arrive exactly on time, and installations are handled professionally and flawlessly. On one occasion, we had a minor issue with a wine cooler, and Richmond Discount Appliance took complete care of it, contacting the manufacturer and arranging the warranty service without hassle. While Richmond Discount Appliance may not always beat the price of huge national chains like HD, Lowe's, or Best Buy due to their leverage, it often does so, and it certainly surpasses them in customer focus and personalized customer care. At Richmond Discount Appliance, you feel like a special customer, and over the years, a relationship is built. Special thanks to Michael Abbate, who has been our trusted sales consultant through all these years! I highly recommend Richmond Discount Appliance store for all your appliance needs. You won't be disappointed. read more

Norm's knowledge on their appliances was outstanding. We stuck the budget we had and found the right refrigerator for us. Now comes the day of delivery. The crew was thee... most professional group I've come across. They took the hydraulic pistons off the storm door, they also took the front door off as an added measure of safety. They reattached the water line for the ice maker. They took all the plastic and tape found inside the doors and compartments. The big box companies shy away from doing anything besides delivering the appliances. Stick with local businesses like Richmond Appliances. You cannot go wrong read more

Richmond appliances came to my place to diagnose a loud banging sound the washing machine was making. They diagnosed the problem fast and were very efficient with following up and scheduling also very Accommodating. I am happy with the the overall service, Richmond appliance of Staten Island are priced fairly and offer a 90 day warranty on parts replaced. They didn't really clean up the mess or take the old parts but the repair was completed and washer works like new. Thank you I will call again if needed for another appliance, the workers are knowledgeable and determined to complete repair. read more

Great people. Timely advance notice. On time. Careful. Polite. I would highly recommend them

We've worked with Richmond appliance for a few years on our rental properties. They have been easy to work with, from start to finish. A place where customer service still exists!! Don't waste your time, money or energy going to those big box stores. read more

We just received the delivery of a new stove and hood. The men who delivered and installed them were efficient, professional, friendly. The bot didn't give us the half hour warning we were promised so we weren't completely ready, but they were courteous and helped us move the items out of their way. Looking forward to using the new appliances. I am sure they will work fine. read more

I had originally ordered my appliances from Lowes but after 9 weeks of delays and no answers from them, canceled my order and I went to Richmond Discount Appliances. Three days later I had exactly what I needed. All of the employees I spoke with - customer service rep in the store and the two delivery men - were courteous and helpful. I'll be back for my next home appliance purchase. read more

I literally cannot say enough positive things about this store. They may not be a big box but they know their stuff and treat you with courtesy. We ordered appliances from another store to get the run around and end up cancelling our order. Not only was Richmond appliance cheaper ( so much for rock bottom block Friday prices) we actually got our stove when we were told we would. We now have a dishwasher, stove and fridge that we bought here and love. read more

If you are dead serious about buying appliances this is not the place to go. I had my kitchen ripped out and custom built so when the contractor was ready he gave me the exact dimensions and models to purchase on a piece of paper along with the price he can get them for. I told him that I knew a local place I would & give them a shot being I knew someone that worked there. It is a family owned business yet ran very poorly. When I entered the store I was greeted by one of the sons who I then handed a piece of paper with exact make model's and sizes (I did not show him the prices of course). All he had to do was simply look on the computer and add up the prices.I knew my contractor was going to tack on a couple of bucks yet this is individual at Richmond appliance quoted me a price of $4000 more I then proceeded to ask him if he could do a little better if I paid cash and the items were not to be installed, only delivered.. he said no and let me walk out the door. The next day I went to Brooklyn ,Handed the individual The same exact piece of paper and his first question was, are you paying cash? I replied yes and his price was $3000 less than my contractors and $8000 less than Richmond appliance. I guess they didn't need $26,000 when daddy can help them out.. read more

Why go to a big box store when you can get a knowledgeable professional sales person to guide you with your purchase, with very competitive prices and a top notch delivery and service department in this multi generational family owned business! read more

Had a major issue with a washer I recently bought. I called the salesman, Michael, and he stepped right up and resolved the issue to more than our satisfaction. He handled it in such a way that I believe that is their normal process, and not an exception. I don't recognize the people or place described in the 1-star reviews. I bought independent rather than big-box hoping for better, more personal service. I got more than I hoped for. In future, I will always go there first. read more

Nice smooth transaction. Just took delivery of a stove which we haven't used yet. Stove is fabulous, and the delivery crew couldn't have been nicer. This place will be our go to place for all future appliance purchases. They beat the prices of the big box stores. read more

After the wash phase of a load of laundry, my front loading washing machine was not draining the wash water. I called Richmond Discount Appliance Sales. They told me the motor needed to be replaced and wanted to charge me fortune for replacement. But, I asked the repairman why does the motor work perfectly fine for the washing phase but not for the draining of the water??? The motor is working. Why should it be replaced? After some of his double talk, I was happy to pay the service man $190 just to get that liar out of my house. I called Whirlpool and they said most likely it was the control board. I ordered the board, I installed it myself and the machine works fine. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CALL THIS COMPANY TO DO ANY WORK ON YOUR APPLIANCES. YOU WILL BE SORRY. read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING AT THIS PLACE!!! They do not stand by anything they sell. They do not care about their customers at all. They are nice when you buy and rude after they get their money. They were rude with delivery issues and now my microwave that i purchased from them died after less than 30 days and they said "too bad, call the company" They didn't offer a return, an exchange, NOTHING! This is an awful way to do business. Do not buy anything here. read more

Family own and operated and you can tell in the way you are treated. Ben dealing with that business for 25 years and always treated me and my family very professional. Would highly recommend this store anyone looking for appliances. read more

Okay I first use Richmond Appliance back in the 90's to set up all my appliances in my kitchen and washer: dryer, I dealt with Joe he was just a kid then. Was a great experience all the appliances were great name brand and lasted. Then I moved in 2003 and again needed a whole new kitchen again dealt with Joe was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to find a side by side fridge to fit my small space. I then needed a new dryer since the one I got with the house didn't work. So I have dealt with the store many times with all different type of appliances.. I highly recommend this place and the prices were very reasonable. Oh all the appliances were brand new with warranties. Highly recommended read more

I had been looking for a new range. Initially went to PC Richard. They were so downright rude that I walked out. Remembered Richmond Appliance and we proceeded there. They were so awesome and helpful. Very nice people to deal with. Purchased my range and had delivery this morning as promised. Everything about this transaction was 5 stars ! read more

I had problems with a washer purchased from Richmond Discount Appliance only two months after I purchased it. When I went and told them about the problem, all they did was tell me to call the company. I know it was beyond the timeframe where they could take the item back but had they been the middleman between me and the company I probably could have gotten a new unit. Bottom line, they don't go the extra yard to help their customers. I guess I expected better customer service from an independent retailer. The reason why I went to them in the first place was to support small independent businesses on Staten Island. It came back to bite me in the butt. I should have went to Lowes or Home Depot. read more
