We really liked our initial impression and interaction with Alfred as his availability was convenient and immediate, he was kind, up front, and very transparent in the work needing to be done, especially with pricing. We appreciated that upon arriving we received the same service as we did on the phone. Alfred helped us out with our dryer that was heating up but not spinning. I'm sure he's seen this often and with his experience he knew exactly what needed to be fixed, even on the phone. SO glad we have found our go-to guy for things like this - it makes things easier as a homeowner knowing we have someone reliable in our back pocket. Would absolutely recommend Alfred and L&A Appliance Repair.

Don said that he would come over the next day and take a look at the both of them. Don and his son came to my home as promised. They looked at both of my machines and told me that they didn't need repairs, but that we could do certain things and it should help us with both of our issues with the machines. They even looked at my dryer vents and hose to check for leaks and lint block. He explained about certain things to look for in the future and that to call him back if and when they occur. They must have stayed for about 45 minutes and when I asked how much I owed him, he told me that there was no charge because he really didn't do anything. I couldn't believe his honesty and sincerity. I actually can't wait for something to happen to one of my appliances so I can call him back to fix them. lol. I would wholeheartedly recommend Don and his son. Professional and very knowledgeable. More importantly, they were genuinely good people.

Although the cooling wasn't affected, my husband and I didn't enjoy hunting for food with a flashlight. With some YouTube help, I managed to remove the LED lightbulbs, only to discover that they worked fine in a desk. Obviously, it was time to call in an expert: Vinny, still owning & operating this business. He arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty switch, and replaced it the next day. The new switch (from a parts store he routinely works with, not original equipment) wasn't so easy to insert, but he worked at it patiently and carefully until we both heard a reassuring click. Now the fridge lights up like Times Square (I bought new bulbs on Amazon for the next 10 years), and best of all, I can adjust the coolness from the control panel, which had also gone dark. I can't recommend Vinny enough: There's no substitute for experience.
