If you want quality work, excellent communication, and ease of mind, hire Build Pros. We originally wanted to have our microwave vented out (rather than circulating air and grease in the kitchen) and add a second banister to the stairs to the basement to make them more safe for our growing toddler. We were also considering having our spare basement bathroom remodeled. The bathroom really wasn't very functional because it was built in pieces (so the gross tiny stall shower wasn't even in the bathroom). That was a big job, and we wanted to get a quote for all three pieces. The first two jobs were too small on their own, so we hired Build Pros for all three. They were amazing to work with, and the work they did was the highest of quality. The team was extremely communicative, and we always knew when they were coming, what they were doing next, and what to expect. Their spreadsheet system made it really easy for everyone to keep track of what we had selected, costs, etc. They helped us a ton with design decisions, made recommendations when appropriate, and made sure we were happy with absolutely everything before moving forward. Our house stayed unbelievably clean, given the level of work they were doing, throughout the process. Mike and Rouben were fantastic at reimagining the layout of our bathroom, taking all of our priorities into consideration. John, their carpenter, is a master. We went way over budget, but a lot of that was my fault. I wanted a bathroom that was functional, but the more we talked and designed, the more I realized we actually could get a really *nice* bathroom that wasn't just functional, but high end. They did a bunch of other random things in the area too. We just were so happy with their work, and they were already there, so we asked them to fit in a few small things and they were awesome in getting those done too (adding a couple outlets in the adjacent home gym, replacing our outdoor water spigots, etc.). We are extremely happy with the final products. We even had a water problem shortly after they finished. They fixed it swiftly with no charge. It might have been a part issue or a labor issue, and so in the beginning it was unclear whether we were going to have to pay for repairs right away. I would have been very disappointed if they had charged us, and have all the more confidence in them since they fixed it and stood by the work and warranty. The only real negative was that sometimes when we had to make a decision, and the team gave us a quick "off the cuff" estimate about how much a few different options would cost, the estimate was really a fair amount lower than estimated. That contributed to some of our cost increase, but in the end I think we would have made the same decisions regardless. We're extremely happy with the final products. We even hired them again and they're starting work at my mother-in-laws house this week! I'm already dreaming of putting an addition on our house in the future, and we will hire them absolutely if/when we do this.

At the last minute I found BuildPROS and because of their excellent reviews, gave them a call. Rouben is a contractor that actually returned calls and texts throughout the process. The team was efficient, extremely neat and pricing was very transparent. He gave me some great ideas as we were making our selections and kept in touch throughout the process. Dan did the majority of the work and was very neat and clean and trustworthy. We are very pleased with the final result and I would use BuildPROS again in the future.

During the inspection, dark mold was discovered on the rafters of our attic and it was recommended that we address it. Since we are consummate procrastinators, we waited. Recently though, we received a RISE assessment (definitely check them out if you haven't already) and had the opportunity to have our attic insulated for little to no cost. Our work was scheduled but the mold remediation was a precondition to the work. So we called Envirotek. I was able to schedule an assessment quickly and easily. The owner Kevin came to the house a few days later, patiently answered all my questions, discussed options and gave us what I felt was a truthful assessment of what needed to be done. This was a Thursday - he promised to have my quote Monday and it arrived on time. We proceeded with the work and they were able to start on the Wednesday (great turnaround but they mentioned they had a cancellation, so maybe I got lucky). So the work was done well before the insulation was scheduled. It was a two morning job since the chemicals they use need to dry overnight. Kevin's crew arrived both days within the half-hour time frame given, explained what they'd be doing, did some quick paperwork and were off. I'm not a professional, so as to the effectiveness of the work, I don't know. We did receive a five-year guarantee. However, it was done efficiently and looks clean and thorough. A job well-done it seems. The crew was polite and, not necessarily expected, they even vacuumed and Swiffered since it was a little wet outside and they had tracked in a bit of water and dirt. The office did a good job of responding quickly, following up with the invoice and certificate. All in all, I can recommend this company for this and probably similar work.

Lou showed up to the fire and started the board-up immediatly (PFR was actually recommended to us by the building inspector who was on scene) . Due to the smoke damage we could not live in the house, and PFR cleaned my entire home from top to bottom, and somehow got us able to move back home very quickly. I then hired them to do the remodel on the other half of the house. They took care of everything, and I mean everything. Having never been in that situation before, we were completly overwhelmed. They even took care of communications with my homeowners insurance and my mortgage company for me. What a blessing that was! They planned the remodel from start to finish and it is totally updated and beautiful. While they were here, we had alot of work done on our side also since the equipment was going to be here anyway. I love all that they have done for us every step of the way. From Shane to Bobby (our PR) to all the crew whether they were doing demo, cleaning, building, painting, etc. every person I spoke to or dealt with were all really nice and friendly people. You couldn't ask for a better group of people! They truly went was above and beyond for us. I cannot recommend them enough. You guys rock! They did a poor job cleaning the bathrooms, mirrors were streaky, missed a lot of areas including some dried plaster dust on the sink counters, etc. The grout looks better, but not as I expected. It seemed like the 2 young kids that were sent to do the job were inexperienced. I had to tell them to be careful not to scratch walls and furniture. I will say that they were friendly and courteous but it felt like it was one of their first jobs like this. I was disappointed, especially at the price that was charged.

They also do a nice job documenting their work (if they ever actually send the certificate of completion). Where my complaint comes into place was the professionalism of there staff and fraudulent billing practices. The negative experience started when they came to remove some of their drying equipment. Myself and another adult were both at my home working. I had an appointment for that day but was waiting on confirmation of time. I was on a conference call with my door closed when I heard mens voices and footsteps in the house. I texted the other person and she said she was also on a conference call but heard it as well. It turns out their crew showed up without confirming, let themselves in. After that I was told they needed to come back and spray, then incapsulate the effected areas. Due to the other repair work being done this took about 2 weeks to schedule. In that time we got a $2000 bill stating the work was complete including the spray and encapsulation charges. They had not finished the job and seemed confused when we called and told them those steps had not yet been completed. They eventually realized the job was not done and the bill was being held until completion. When they came back to spray, the day started off with a phone call stating they were at the property and no one was home... they were at the wrong house. When they arrived they sprayed and stated we needed to call to schedule the encapsulation for the next day, so we did. A few hours later one of the workers came back. I asked him why he was there and he said he wanted to tell me his boss Tom didn't think they needed to finish the job. I explained we had the appointment the next day, he kept insisting that he thought they needed to finish but his boss didn't agree. I again asked him why he was there and he repeated his story. I told him if something changed with our appointment to have the office call to let us know because I was on a working. He continued to just stand there saying he was going to call his boss, he called repeatedly with no answer then said we just needed to wait 10 minutes and call again. At this point I insisted he leave. Once he left I called to confirm the appointment which was still scheduled. I then told the woman on the phone about the uncomfortable interaction, she just brushed me off saying he must have forgotten something. The next day the gentleman came back to do the work. I was working but tried to watch from a distance. He was encapsulating using spray paint. When he left I found my brick fireplace, tile surround and hardwood flooring covered in spray paint splatter. I immediately called and they sent the him back to my house to clean it up. I told him I was not comfortable and wanted someone from else as there as this was significant damage to my home. He tried arguing with me telling me all the splatter was already there when he started. Which it was not. The owner of the company came out to my house and acknowledged the damage, he spent 2 days scrubbing my fireplace and flooring, which left the finish on my entire fireplace destroyed and needing repair. We had the fireplace refinished which was time consuming and an extreme headache that could have been avoided. The owner Greg mentioned he would compensate to the damage and the repairs. We called to get are certificate of completion and were told the billed was now $3000, but they would take off $300 for the damage. This barely covered the cost of the materials let alone the repair time and aggravation. We said that would not be acceptable and my husband asked to speak to Greg the owner as he was the one that cleaned all the spray paint off the fireplace and floors and saw the damage. We then were told the bill was now $400 more, so our $2000 bill that turned into a $3000 bill for the same services was $3400. But they would take off $500... something seems super fishy. The cost is going up in price by the minute to compensate for what they are reducing for the damages. I believe that is called FRAUD.
