Brought my vehicle in for an alignment as I just changed inner and outer tie rods as well as new CV shafts. Vehicle was returned after charging me $140.00 bucks with the car pulling to the left as well as my steering wheel off center. I pulled a wheel off and also discovered the meathead who worked on it if you can call it that didn't bother to take the inner boot clamp off and prevent the boot from twisting !!!! Customer service was exceptional ! Really ! Just purchased a small Class C Motorhome (24') back in Jan./21. Was having one thing after the other needing attention $$$, so when I had my air pressure checked my inner right inside tire was 20lbs !, should be 65lbs. So take it in to Kal Tire Port Kells, they spend over half an hour removing the tires (Quad) find a small leak in the stem extender, replace it, put the tires back on....... charge FREE ! I don't trust easily. Especially with my vehicles. I do most work on my own cars expect when I'm too busy or when a hoist would make it easier. I can tell you that the Port Moody location never once lied or upsold me. I know cars and know what does and doesn't need to be fixed or replaced. Port Moody was always straight up and reasonable in how much they charge. This place is a hidden gem. Moved closer to this location and they were every bit on point as my previous experiences. The manager was on point and clearly enjoys her job! All my friends who are "car guys" go to Kal Tire and avoid the schiesters like Budget, Canadian and Fountain tire. I've personally had bad experiences with quotes, outright lying etc at those places. Would recommend Kal Tire in Langley. read more

I brought a wheel in because I needed center caps and wanted to make sure that they could see the exact wheel. It was a wheel Kal Tire previously sold within the last year. The person behind the counter was not very knowledgeable and gave me very little confidence that he knew what he was looking at. When I was there an elderly lady was in the parking lot just outside the shop struggling with a tire in her trunk, then rolling it into the shop. Not one bit of help from the person working in Kal Tire. A customer ran out to help her. Poor knowledge level and poor service. Note - I ended up going to the Kal Tire in Sears in the Willowbrook Mall. Excellent experience. Good knowledge and good service. Completely different experience even though they were both Kal Tire. read more

Since the Port Kells Kal-Tire was close to my work, I've going to this location for last 3 years. Purchased a number of tires and like the free winter/summer rotation. Since it was July, I was past due to change the winters off and put summers on. I loaded the tires (bagged and already on rims) into the back off my car. I noticed that one of the tires was really low, but, I thought if there was a problem, the Kal-Tire employees would let me know. Called ahead on Monday at 8:00am and asked about getting my winter tires taken off and summer tires on. Told him the make/year of the car and said I was not rush and could leave it there. The employee said no problem, just bring it by. Came by around 8:30am and mentioned I was guy that called about the winter tires off and summers on. They remembered the call. I also said I purchased the tires from Kal-Tire. Confirmed my work number, gave the keys, left and walked back to work. Later on, got a call around 10:44am and they said it was finished and I should get the brakes done. The caller said that the front rotors had 3mm left and I should do them right away. I was quoted $1100.00. I asked what specific parts, he said, front new rotors/pads and rear drums/shoes. I thanked the caller and said that it wasn't in the budget. Note: The number seemed high and I called around to a few other shops and the price was around $500 for parts and $200 for labor. Another shop said the rear drums should rarely have to be replaced. Anyway, I walked over around 12:15pm and picked up the car. The employee again pressured me to do at least the front or when I come back after 150 km for a retrox. I said thanks, but, could I see the parts break down, he hesitated and said that he would have to print the sheet out again. I said don't bother since I'm not getting it done. They handed me the keys and I got in the car and drove back to work. When I got home, I was unloading the car of the bagged tires and rolling them to storage. Then I noticed one of the tires was low on air... so, I ripped opened the bag and it was one of my summer tires. I walked back to my car and noticed that it still had my winter tires on. I called the Kal-tire shop at 5:13pm and explained the situation, the employee apologized and said to come first thing in on Saturday morning. Since I had to drive for a hour be at UBC for 8:00am conference, it wasn't an option. So, the employee said we can make arrangements for Monday. I said, I'll call later. I didn't drive anywhere else for the rest of the day. On Saturday, I arrived home at 5:15pm, and noticed that one of my plastic, bolt-on, hub caps and fallen off. I had no idea where it came off and it was a 60 km drive to retrace my steps. Called the GM dealership and they said it was $90 for a new one. The was a sour pill to swallow. The Port Kells Kal-tire failed to do the work performed and now a missing hub cap will cost me $90.00. So, on Monday, at 9:20am, I called the Kal-Tire toll free number and asked the friendly person in the customer relations department on what could be done. The person at the head office said he would make a call the Port Kells Kal-Tire location and the manager has 24 hours to respond. Today, is Tuesday and it's now, 12:30pm and there has not been a call back. I have made arrangements with the TireCraft store (that is also in walking distance from my work) and they will fix the flat for $20.00 and not charge me remove and install the winter/summer tires. That is great service. In conclusion, the service from the Port Kells Kal-Tire location is poor, especially for a repeat customer. I do not recommend this location. They cannot perform a task and will push to get expensive work done. read more

Three years ago I paid almost $700 incl tax for rear brake pads, callipers and rotors at Kal Tire on the Langley Bypass. Three months later my brakes started screeching and it started getting worse so I got my son to have a look and he told me there is no way they could have have used new rotors and callipers with the amount of rust on them in that amount of time also one of the callipers was wearing the rotor on one side. I went back to Kal Tire and they did'nt have much to say about it but did agree to change the rotors. I just had my brakes checked for wear somewhere else and I need rear brake pads, rotors and callipers and was told they should be good for about 100,000 km. I've only put 36,000 km on since I got ripped off at Kal Tire so obviously they never did use new parts but billed me for them. Never again will I trust Kal Tire. read more

Went in to fix a puncture and got my car back in 20 minutes at no cost. Very impessive. Service is competent but they are very busy, phone is always ringing. It's better to call ahead and make an appointment. KalTire is the place to go for tires in BC, they are professional and efficient once you manage to book time with them. You get similar service in all their locations, that's hard to beat. read more

i had a slow leak on one tire that I had taken to 2 other places who could not find the leak at all so I kept refilling it about once a month for 6 months. then I had an air stem break off so I needed that fixed as well. I got off work at 5 pm on fri and called this kal tire because it was very close to my work, to see if I could at least just drop off the worst tire and pick it up on Saturday. I was told to come by right then if I could. I was there in 5 minutes. my jeep was in the shop in about another 5 minutes. they fixed my tire, took my spare off, put my tire back on for me and fixed the other one with the slow leak by about 6:05 pm. I don't know why there are any negative reviews. everyone that was working there when I was there was awesome. read more

When we picked up the car, looks like one rim was dropped or curbed .. this is the second time in a row I have had issues with brand new wheels being handled by the company. I live in Langley and have had the misfortune of getting three flat tires in about a month due to all the construction in the area. Each time I've been taken care of by this Kal Tire location. The first two flats were repairable but the most recent one was not. The tire was replaced partly covered by warranty. The service was excellent and the price was very fair. Recently my low tire pressure light came on and I noticed that Kal Tire offered free air. I figured I would just check the pressure, put in some air and be on my way. When I told one of the employees, he said they would do a quick diagnostic on it just to make sure it was ok. Ended up having a nail in my tire. The guys told me they fixed and it would be at no charge. Great staff! Made my day! read more
