If you happen to be in the area and need an oil change (or perhaps have some car trouble whilst vacationing in nearby Harrison Hot Springs)... this is THE place to go. These guys go out of their way to fix your car, in record time, and they even give it a bath once their done. Not only are their prices killer (e.g., oil change, summer tire installation, break check, loose belt adjustment, fluid top up and car wash... for almost half the price of what I paid for a simple oil change at a typical "drive-in oil change" place in Vancouver). Sweet eh? I think the thing I love most about the folks here is that they point out stuff that honestly needs to be fixed and give you an estimated time of when fixing is actually needed (i.e., your timing belt and water pump are needing replacement - Mazda says next week, but honestly, you can go another 10K if you don't have the cash now).... all without actually expecting you to let them do the work. They simply care for you to know what your car needs to keep running smoothly. Weird eh??? (I simply can't handle places that do the work without consulting you and then expect that you'll be pleased they replaced half the stuff under your hood for a bill that's only triple of what you expected). Anyway, long and the short of it... I love this place. I plan my trips into the area around my oil change and tire rotation needs (seriously).

I was miles from home and didn't feel safe driving with it like that. I happened to be in Chilliwack, so I stopped at a Honda service centre to see if they could help. They told me their minimum charge was $199 and couldn't say how long the repair would take. Since Canadian Tire was nearby, I tried them next. Their quote was $155, but the wait time was 2.5 hours because they were so busy. Feeling stuck, I drove around the block to Great Canadian Oil Change, hoping they might at least take a look. To my surprise, the mechanic, Mark Tyler, told me to pull into the bay and said he'd fix it for free. It took less than five minutes. While he worked, another mechanic checked my oil, topped up my washer fluid, and even checked my tire pressure--also free. I was honestly blown away. Both the Honda service centre and Canadian Tire wanted to charge $199 and $155 for something that clearly takes under ten minutes (I've had this issue before in Kamloops). Meanwhile, Great Canadian Oil Change fixed it immediately, kindly, and without charging me a cent. Unbelievable service at an unbelievable price. I'm genuinely grateful. What a bunch of rip off artists. Called to ask how much an oil change would be. After 10 minutes on…read morehold, told 139 + tax, but they don't have the filter in stock. After I ask, they say they can have it in noon the next day. I go there at 1:00 pm the next day, am told the wrong filter arrived, and they wouldn't be able to get the correct one until Tuesday because of long weekend. 5pm the same day get a call saying the filter came in (which means they lied to me about receiving the wrong filter). Just before they about to start, he says it's going to be $171 plus tax! That's nearly $200 for an oil change and $32 more than I was told the day before. Guy says he doesn't know who I talked to the day before and that's the price.

The short review, don't let these idiots touch your vehicle! I am not sure why I have to give them…read more1x star, they don't deserve even 1. My aunt (who has zero mechanical skills) had overheating issues with her diesel & was stuck at the side of the road. For the sake of this review, I will call our mobile tech "Moron". Moron came out for roadside assistance, and somehow deduced it was the fan clutch that was causing the overheating. He missed the fact the radiator was completely packed full of oil and debris that was caused from the blow-by overfilling and spraying onto the rad which started the chain reaction of buildup, which was causing the overheating, not the fan clutch. He replaced the fan clutch - charged her for the rad, which he never gave her, and of course the fan clutch plus his time. This was over $1K. During all of this, my father and his brother who works on these 24 valve diesel engines, had over the phone determined the exact issue but still Moron would not listen, proceeded to tell my aunt she was good to go and could now drive across Canada and it would not overheat. She made it about 20-25 mins down the road when the vehicle overheated. At this point she limped the truck to a car wash as advised from my Dad and cleaned the debris from the rad, which allowed her to drive the truck normally with slight overheating until she was able to get the radiator properly cleaned out. So in short, if Moron would have A) listened to the phone consult and waited until the vehicle cooled, he could have cleaned the rad/taken it to be cleaned. B) changed the radiator even though it was fine, just plugged. C) had any mechanical knowledge whatsoever, and came up with his own way of truly solving the issue, she would have been able to continue and the issue would have been resolved, and I would not be spending my time writing this. Good luck to you if you do need any services from these clowns.
