Shelby knew I was coming from a three hour drive away to make the purchase that I saw online. The installation was about twice as long as he originally told me and he apologized many times and explained that one of his employees had been sick that day so everything was backed up, which is understandable. He wants to make sure that his customers are satisfied when they leave.

Like the tires are out of balance. Took it back immediately. Told it would be a while before they could get to it. Very busy!! Surprised but not unexpected. Sat for over an hour and my vehicle didn't move. All of a sudden fella brings me my keys and says it is fixed. Said it was a bit out of balance. Fixed it and said the tech took it for a drive to confirm. Magical since it didn't move from where I parked it. Missed four hours of work and didn't have time to stay longer. Drove onto the highway and the shake is still there at the same speed as before. Garbage service. Also had the oil changed. Dipstick not put all the back in. They "washed" the vehicle. Didn't ask for that, why would I, it's a tire shop. Stripes from a half done effort. First time I've done a review for bad work. I'll be putting this on other sites also.

We frantically called around on a Saturday late afternoon of the long weekend and Gerry's Automotive was the ONLY place that would check the diagnostic. Turns out we needed an alternator and it was 3:30pm when we arrived (they close at 5pm) We were extremely grateful they drove to parts store to pick up new alternator and installed it, we were gone by 5pm. If they wouldn't have gone out of their way for us, we would have have to stay in a hotel for another 2 nights, miss work and and school Monday to get our truck looked. Thanks for being soooo helpful to us!

Since i lived in Agassiz for half a year - I figured it was fitting to review some of the local…read morebusinesses... might help newbies in the area figure out the good places :) I'll start with the absolute best business in the Agassiz area - Pioneer Motors. If you happen to be in the area and need an oil change (or perhaps have some car trouble whilst vacationing in nearby Harrison Hot Springs)... this is THE place to go. These guys go out of their way to fix your car, in record time, and they even give it a bath once their done. Not only are their prices killer (e.g., oil change, summer tire installation, break check, loose belt adjustment, fluid top up and car wash... for almost half the price of what I paid for a simple oil change at a typical "drive-in oil change" place in Vancouver). Sweet eh? I think the thing I love most about the folks here is that they point out stuff that honestly needs to be fixed and give you an estimated time of when fixing is actually needed (i.e., your timing belt and water pump are needing replacement - Mazda says next week, but honestly, you can go another 10K if you don't have the cash now).... all without actually expecting you to let them do the work. They simply care for you to know what your car needs to keep running smoothly. Weird eh??? (I simply can't handle places that do the work without consulting you and then expect that you'll be pleased they replaced half the stuff under your hood for a bill that's only triple of what you expected). Anyway, long and the short of it... I love this place. I plan my trips into the area around my oil change and tire rotation needs (seriously).

We told the story of how the car overheated while in line at the border because the fan wasn't working. He said it was likely a fuse. He pulled the faulty fuses and sold us a box of replacements. Said we should still take it into the shop to find out why the fuses blew once we get back home. This was a lot better than my original plan of adding coolant until we could get back to US and call AAA. Wish this store was in my hometown.
