Out of four nurses sent to my home, only one -- Danielle -- was excellent and professional. Nurse Yoshi dumped the contents of my VA pill box onto a table because I had missed two compartments, leaving me -- a patient with documented cognitive issues -- to individually identify and re-sort loose unlabeled pills. That is a patient safety incident, not a nursing visit. Nurse Krystal was openly arrogant and said to me condescendingly, "What, you can't fill up your own pill box?!?" I am a 100% Service-Connected Disabled Veteran. That is how she spoke to me. On my final visit today, Nurse Philippia showed me her tablet which had the completely wrong doctor listed as my physician of record -- someone with no connection to my care. She also had to come back five minutes after leaving because she forgot a required signature. I have filed formal complaints with the VA Office of Inspector General and VA Administration. Veterans deserve far better than this. -- Carl, Veteran patient

If you don't like your job, and it is getting to be too aggravating for you, then just go do something else. Find another job. My wife has been getting home health for almost 2 months now. There were a few recent events that occurred that have prompted me to leave this review. First, a nurse was supposed to make contact with me so we could coordinate when to come out. Now bear in mind, when she did call (I didn't piece everything together until at the end) she never left a message, nor did she send me a text saying that she was trying to reach me. This happened about 3 or 4 times, and never did the caller ever leave a message. After about the 3rd time, I blocked the number because I thought it was some kind of scam caller, or just simply some random caller. Then after about the 4th call, she finally left a message. Her reason (and I think it was just an excuse to come by the house to check on my wife, as some kind of welfare check) was that when she called it went straight to voicemail. But I only blocked her number after the repeated calls when she refused to leave a message, not knowing it was her. Finally, she was able to somehow leave a message. In her message, what tipped me off and led me to look into it further, was that when she called me, she said it went straight to voicemail. I was curious and I looked, and sure enough, the mysterious caller that at first refused to identify herself, was this nurse. Why in God's name she didn't leave any messages the first few times she called, is beyond me. Anyway, the next one was just really strange. Different nurse, but just really strange. Her last visit, she just blurts out, out of nowhere, mind you, that, and thus is a direct quote, "I hate men." I guess directed at me?! Nothing like keeping it dispassionate and professional. But where such a bizarre statement came from, and what prompted such an asinine remark, who knows. And that brings me to the very last encounter, which happened just this past Saturday. My wife has dementia. This was a nurse that we were just meeting for the first time. Anyway, they start talking, trying to get to know each other, and they're talking for a while. I give the nurse some of my wife's background, the nurse seems very surprised and taken aback by my wife's attitude regarding her health, and out of the blue the nurse blurts out, "Oh, your wife is crazy." We really don't need you disrespecting us in our own home. Or talking to us like we are little kids. My wife has dementia, along with a lot of other problems, you don't need to compound our problems with a bunch of unwanted nonsense. And another pet peeve is that my wife is unavailable on certain days, especially the weekends, when we want to have time to ourselves, and this company repeatedly comes out on the days when we don't want them to. Lack of respect, plain and simple. I have told them over and over again about her schedule, and they don't seem to care.

I highly recommend this agency for their caring and sympathetic approach and for their reliability and professionalism.
