I visited Paramount Urgent Care on a Sunday morning due to pain behind my right ear. Upon arrival I had to fill out the normal paper work that only took a few minutes. The office was very busy with only a few empty seat. I was called back to the examination room after only 5-10 minutes. Then was seen in less then a minute by the nurse to get my vitals. The doctor was in less than 3 minutes after I was brought back. It was determined that I had excessive wax in my ear. The doctor had it cleaned out. Dry quickly, gave me a prescription from their on site pharmacy and had me on my way in less than 30 minutes after I arrived. Everyone I encountered was super nice and polite. This was probably the best experience I have ever had from any health care provider. read more

i called they told us we didnt need an appointment to come right in. we drove from Winter Garden in a storm because My husband was symptomatic for Covid. We got there and were greeted by a clearly annoyed women. We were told to go stand in the rain, we waited for 7 minutes in the rain to be told they were done with the rapids for the day and Could not be seen. The two women at the door were rude, short and clearly couldn't careless that my husband was feeling ill. I am a nurse and I would never ever treat a person this way. She then prescribes me a medicine that has components similar to a medicine I'm allergic to. Pharmacist recommends I don't take it. Absolute incompetence there. Will never be back. read more

I have asthma, so every winter if I get a cold, you can just about bet it's going to turn into bronchitis. Stubborn I am, so I usually know for at least a week that I have bronchitis before I go to the doctor. I usually wait until it gets so bad I'm having trouble breathing. One of these days, I may learn my lesson (although I didn't learn this year because I have bronchitis now and I waited a week until it got really bad to go to the doctor yet again). Bronchitis is exactly what brought me here to Paramount. I knew I had bronchitis and had refused to let my hubby take me to the doctor until one night around 7pm it got so bad I couldn't breathe and I was having an asthma attack on top of it (my rescue inhaler was doing nothing). As Murphy's Law would have it, normal business hours were over. Hubby remembered seeing Paramount when we'd leave Walmart, so he shoved me in the car and raced me here. When I walked through the doors, I was coughing up a lung and could barely get a breath. I couldn't believe how well they handled the situation. I didn't even have to sit down in the waiting room, they immediately opened up the door to the back and led me through to a room. They didn't even bother with paperwork or my ID until I was in the room being taken care of and they finally handed hubby a clipboard to start filling everything out. Within 10 seconds of entering a treatment room, the doctor walked in and immediately had an assistant retrieve a nebulizer and start a breathing treatment. While she was doing that, the doctor himself took my vitals. I'm pretty sure that's the only time in my life an actual doctor has taken my blood pressure, pulse, and temp. They weren't playing around and boy did I appreciate that. Not being able to get a breath is a really scary thing! They gave me 3 different breathing treatments and kept me there for about an hour to continue monitoring my vitals because my blood pressure and pulse were both so high when I came in. When I was finally breathing normally again (as normally as a person with bronchitis can) and my vitals were back under control, the doctor gave me prescriptions for antibiotics, a steroid pack, and cough medicine. Then he allowed me to go home. Everyone was absolutely fabulous here. I couldn't have asked for better treatment. I wouldn't hesitate to return here for minor treatment and it was definitely better (and cheaper) than an ER visit! read more

Those of you getting permission slips signed for LEO application physical assessments, don't waste your time here. They pushed to say I needed an EKG done for $170 (I do have insurance) when the paper didn't ask for it and it typically wouldn't be required "because it's law enforcement related". I went down the road to a different clinic who took care of the entire thing without an EKG for even cheaper. Paramount is a scam. read more

Was good when Paramount. then they sold to MD Now, who are terrible. MD Now there is pay your money, take your chances. When Paramount, they treated me fine. when MD Now, renew same prescriptions, they said they wanted new to get expensive tests. These are benign meds for moderate blood pressure, no tests needed these last 30 years, so I refused, believed they were just using to increase billings. they then billed me $250, refused to bill Medicare so my secondary insurance would pay. So it's just $250 for nothing. MD Now and I are now arguing about the bill. charlatans. read more

Visited on 4/9/2022 with a cough that just wouldn't go away. Didn't want the cough to turn into anything more sinister so I went to get checked out. After reading the reviews I was a little nervous visiting this urgent care. I was greeted by a nice young woman who checked me in and gave me paperwork to fill out. After that they said it would be about 45 min. I went and sat in my car... got a call to come pay the co-pay, took care of that then sat back in my vehicle. Then got another call that the doctor was ready it may have been around 45 min or less. My experience with this urgent care was pleasant, the staff was great and the doctor was thorough! Needed a couple of prescriptions to help with the cough and on my way I went. Wouldn't hesitate to tell people to visit if you are feeling under the weather! Overall the experience wasn't terrible. The wait was a little long but I did go in the middle of the day. Went in with fear that I broke my foot/toe. Upon the arrival of the PA I confirmed the pharmacy and she quickly told me I needed an X-ray but the machine was down. No biggie I got a referral and went to get imaging done. After getting imagining I asked how long it would be and they said 2 days since they sent it as routine. Whatever no biggie (a little annoying but ‍) I called on Friday evening nothing. I called today and they said they did receive them and they were NOW going to be put on the doctors desk and she would call me immediately when she was done with her current patient. It's now been over 2 hours with no call. I'm also curious how long they've had my X-rays. I understand a broken toe may not be that big of a deal but I just want to know what the next steps are if any.... read more

I went here for an extremely inflamed and infected in grown bump on my back. The doctor said that he was unable to cut it out because he thought it was something else.... but it burst a few days later so he was obviously in the wrong, not to mention I was clearly in a lot of pain. So after leaving, paying $100 co-pay for nothing except told to rest and take some ibuprofen, I was still in massive pain. Later, my work asked me for a doctors note and when I called and asked for one, they said they could not provide one and the ladies at the front desk and on the phone were super rude. NEVER going back. Doctor.... not helpful or knowledgeable & staff was unfriendly and unwilling to help. (the one front desk lady was named Ashley and she had the worst attitude I had ever seen). read more

Absolutely wonderful care here. We brought our son to this location as he was experiencing ear pain. We checked in and were a bit uneasy as the waiting room was full. The wait time was minimal, maybe 15 minutes until he was seen. He needed antibiotics which they filled on site. Right from the beginning the customer service at the front desk was courteous and professional. Dr. Hall was wonderful with our son. He made him feel at ease and he was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We don't live in the Orlando area but if you do or if you're visiting and need urgent care, this is the place to go. read more

Visited this location for physicals for my children. The lobby was pretty much at capacity when we arrived but the staff was so efficient that it only took us about 45 min to be seen. The staff works very well together and are thorough. I needed paperwork completed to enroll my children in school and they had it all ready for me before I left the facility. Kudos!!! The physician assistant made my children feel relaxed and safe. If you're ever ill or need a physical I highly recommend that you visit this location. While on vacation my daughter was ill. We had been to Orange Lake Centra Urgent Care down the road where the front desk lady was defensive, unhelpful, and lacking kindness and compassion. They wouldn't accept our insurance wanted us to pay as "self pay." It was definitely all about the money. The minute we walked into Paramount I felt the sincere smile from the woman behind the desk. Everyone knows how stressful it can be with a sick child and we were treated with kindness and compassion from the beginning. Even the doctor we saw was great. My husband had called prior to us arriving and they verified everything was ok with insurance. They were efficient and prompt. But most important we were treated with sincere kindness. Son developed fever and ear pain on vacation. Arrived here 10 minutes before closing. Staff was very friendly and helpful even though I'm sure they wanted to go home. The PA was great. Quick diagnosis and answered questions. Was even able to get prescription there instead of finding a 24 hr pharmacy. Would definitely recommend. Also place was clean. I'm still ill with a terrible upper respiratory infection, so review will be direct and to the point. Pros: it was open, close to home, the individual who took my vitals was kind and I was able to obtain an antibiotic. Cons: office staff were rude, unwelcoming and not friendly at all. They kept laughing, not sure if it was of how badly I looked or an inside joke. Either way, totally unprofessional. After seeing a PA for less than 5 minutes, she left. Another individual returned with discharge instructions. I don't think the PA took all my medical conditions into consideration based upon her treatment plan. Although hacking away with a relentless cough, I had to request cough medication. PA never returned to discuss options, and I was prescribed pills that I knew wouldn't work. Was told if they didn't work to return. Exited main waiting area to the sounds of the staff still finding something funny. Will not return there. My cat receives better treatment at the vet. read more

I went to this place after I had an accident and had injured my hand. It hurt so bad and I was convinced there must have been something seriously wrong with it. After waiting in line for what seemed like forever an uninterested seeming doctor finally attended to me. I had an X-ray done and that meant more hours in the waiting room. They finally called me to tell me the X-ray showed there was nothing wrong with my hand. I believed it and went home happy. Today is almost 5 months later and my hand has gotten so much worse in the very same spot that I can hardly do much with it. With the COVID and being out of work, it has been hard to seek proper medication. In the meantime I continue to pay Paramount's bill that was so ridiculous considering the services offered. First off, we must say, care here is excellent, their timely call back, not so much!! We were here on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 and my husband was given medication for his condition. I called on his behalf Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 4:04 PM because he was getting severe headaches, (side effect of this medication.) The receptionist said she would send a message to the person on that evening. I called today, September 28, at 9:46 AM to ask why we never got a call back? A lovely lady by the name of Theresa said she will send another message and have someone call us back and let them know, we never received a call back. She told me if we did not get a call back within the hour to call her back. Yet again no call back!! So, I called back at, 11:16 AM today and Theresa, informed us that the PA that was there will call us back in between patients. Fair enough!! When they did call back at, 11:22 AM they changed my husbands medication to another, he did ask why we did not get a call back yesterday and the reply, was and I quote, " there is a note here stating they tried." My husband disputed that answer by stated whomever wrote that lied. 1. Lied on a legal document 2. We have voicemail ( leave a message) 3. Theresa, made no mention of a failed call back 4. Our cell phone rings wherever we are We may be consider seniors by age, but, we are not senile!! Shame on that person for falsifying a legal document!! I had a problem with a rib and went here because I had been here before and knew they did X-rays. It took me 2 hours to get in and only then I think it was because I complained about it. They are COVID-19 testing like mad here. I heard more than one employee say they hadn't had lunch and it was almost 3 pm. The staff are great when they finally take care of you. When you show up your given a number, so you are not racing against someone else to get your paperwork back in or wondering who gets to the dr first. The people that show you to the room and the dr are very friendly, answer all questions, and are very thorough with your examination. Prescriptions are sent to your choice of pharmacies. read more
