sweet and sour soup with chinese noodles

five star worthy in the context of take out food. the best Chinese-asian take out food around danbury for my money. The dumplings and the Singapore chow mein fun is my catnip - need a fix periodically. The owners / management very nice although often harried they are so busy - often generously throw in a treat extra - the friendly customer facing woman is a magician!

Spicy Garlic Fried Wontons

I know I just had chinese food on Friday night but it was such a disappointment I had to get chinese again last night This chinese food place is not close to where I live right now so while I was out I had to pick some up. My appetizer that Im so happy they are still making is a mild spicy garlic fried wontons. Somehow they get eight of these wontons in the little container. The combo of spiciness and garlic is sooo good! I have to admit for my dinner I meant to get the BBQ Spare ribs on the bone but messed up and ordered boneless. The boneless spare ribs were better than I expected and they really packed the container with them.

26. Egg Drop Soup my favorite ever with a little soy and some spicy mustard!

Best Chinese in Danbury! Owners are by far the most accommodating. Definitely a take out place; a few small tables for eating in if you have time. Take good suggestions from the owners; they are so nice!

Panda House provides nice Chinese food in a good setup…read more We went on Valentine's day for lunch and it was getting crowded. The Scallion Pancakes were quite good. Nice and warm, may be a little oily which is to be expected and the sauce was right on the money. Chicken with Garlic Sauce was good. More healthy than I have seen. I had the Tangerine Beef, which had that tangerine sauce on top which was really to my liking. The person described it as as fried, but I missed out that it is deep fried. But, I would call this deep fried beef quite nice, especially bcos of the sauce. Nice place to sit and talk. Made a note to try the Japanese food there next time.

Our glasses were filled with water and menus were given to each and asked for drink orders. We ordered Spare Ribs, Pork Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon and dumplings as appetizers for the table . I ordered an egg roll, Won Ton Soup, Chicken and Broccoli with Brown Rice. Others had Egg drop soup, hot and sour soup. They brought out a pot of tea and put it on the lazy Susan so we could pass it around. Sweet and sour chicken, Shrimp in a garlic sauce, Beef with vegetables, pork, lo mein were among the other entrees. The place was quiet. Our waitress was efficient . The food was very tasty. The brown sauce of my chicken and broccoli had a distinct and very pleasant flavor. Everyone was satisfied with the appetizers and their entree. Our waitress brought us a pitcher of water and kept replenishing our tea pot throughout dinner. We will be back to danbury, Connecticut to visit Panda House. Sal E. New Rochelle

Stopped by for a late lunch…read more Open floor. No one was there seated, but it was around 2pm on a Friday. We were led to a table against the wall. Waiter was friendly and gave us some time to make our selections. I chose the egg roll, tangerine beef. Hubby chose the orange chicken. I asked the waiter if the soda came in a can. He said yes. We then waited for our meal. He returned quickly with my soda, in a glass with lots of ice. Not what I expected. But I guess I wasn't specific about my drink order. My egg roll was good. Cut decoratively in half at an angle, piping hot. Our food arrived shortly. Both plates were generous and came with white rice. Cut a portion in small pieces to taste with rice. Tasted so good, burned my tongue a little it was so hot. Ate a bit more, and that's when my mouth started burning up! The dish was a little more spicy than I expected. Tried to eat more, but it was too much for me. My hubby on the other hand was in his glory. He Loves heat. The spiciest the better. He tried mine and said it was just as spicy as his, which he loved. So, I just thought we would take mine home for him to enjoy later. I have to say it was good, before I had to cry uncle. So would definitely have to return for another try and let them know I can't take the spiciness. I did notice that the restaurant was busy with takeout orders. So I guess that's their main business. So I wouldn't say this was a cozy place. But the food is good. Lots of parking outside since they're next to a supermarket and liquor store. There weren't any 'lunch' specials, so this was over $50 with tip. By the way, lots to choose from the menu. I only took pictures of some pages.

I got the Pho with duck, and my wife got the crispy duck dinner. Both dishes were "meh" at best. Below average. As far as service... it was harried and we were only one of two couples eating in this "NOT so cozy" restaurant. We went at 5:30 expecting to wait because it was small and "cozy" and it was Chinese New year. (1) no problem eating in during dinner hours (2) not a stitch of celebratory anything for Chinese New Year.. not even a place mat. No chinese noodles at the table and there was one continuous plain bench and brown tables (no table cloths) on the opposite side aka cafe style and cafeteria style seats. Hardly "cozy" at all. Overall high expectations, below average experience, ambiance and food.
