There are two booths, so my husband decided to stay. When the food was ready. They gave us the food in takeout containers with plastic forks. No napkins. So clearly, not for sit down. The food was good. We chose similar dishes, but we each liked our dish. Nice crunch and flavor. The rice was ok. Didn't stand out. We each were quite full, so decided to take our egg rolls home. The people were nice. So did feel welcomed. Just be prepared to take your food to go.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing before we even had the opportunity to try the food…read more When we arrived, there were several open tables throughout the restaurant. However, a senior staff member, who appeared to be the manager or owner, informed us that no larger tables were available for our group. It seemed that combining a couple of tables would have been a simple solution, but no effort was made to accommodate us. We were willing to be flexible and agreed to sit at two separate tables instead. However, when we asked to place a high chair next to one of the tables, the same staff member objected, despite the hostess appearing comfortable with the arrangement. The interaction felt unnecessarily inflexible and unwelcoming, particularly for a family dining with young children. Rather than working with us to find a reasonable solution, it felt like our presence was an inconvenience. As a result, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, and unfortunately that was not our experience here.

Order was ready to pick up in 15 minutes, ready to go at the front. The place is a kitchen, because they only do take out. Smells clean with a good Chinese takeout food smell. The staff was cheery, payed in cash don't know if they take card. Food was only $27. The spring rolls were cooked well but a little mushy inside but had good flavor. The sesame chicken was very good. Chicken was lightly sauced and cooked where it was still juicy. A lot of takeout Chinese places over sauce and over cook the chicken in my opinion, Golden house did neither of these thankfully! The lo mien had all the meat! It was a little bland. But the meat was cooked well. Especially the shrimp. The chicken with garlic sauce was not that spicy but a good zip. Chicken again moist and well cooked. We got both the chicken dishes as combinations, which comes with rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was a little over fried but still had good flavor and crispy. The rice was not oily and the veggies in it were not over steamed, which was really tasty. Yes this is a American Chinese restaurant not authentic Chinese food. Others are mad about this, but that is what a Chinese takeout restaurant is supposed to be!! Overall we really liked the food and will most definitely order from here again. Especially because it is run by a family and I hope stays around a long time.

The guy that gave us the order took food out of the bag after we paid for it and then called us after we left there questioning the order and saying he thinks he gave us the wrong order. We got home and double checked and it was fine other than missing the item he took out of the bag but we were not going to go back and fight for it but we are turned off now as none of this should have happened. It is very unfortunate. Be cautious when you go there and make sure you get your whole order before leaving there and make sure it's correct as there seems to be confusion going on there and there shouldn't be. This has never happened to us anywhere else before.

Nice and warm, may be a little oily which is to be expected and the sauce was right on the money. Chicken with Garlic Sauce was good. More healthy than I have seen. I had the Tangerine Beef, which had that tangerine sauce on top which was really to my liking. The person described it as as fried, but I missed out that it is deep fried. But, I would call this deep fried beef quite nice, especially bcos of the sauce. Nice place to sit and talk. Made a note to try the Japanese food there next time.
