Just moved to New Fairfield and tried Main Moon and was pleasantly surprised. I had boneless ribs and shrimp fried rice. Rice was very delicious and tasted so fresh. Ribs sliced very thin and so sweet so tasty. read more

Haven't ordered from here in about 2 years due to a bad experience. Gave them another try, and wow - what a disappointment! Rice was old and flavorless, beef was fat and connective tissue, and some was undercooked! Eggrolls had some pale, unidentifiable mush - these were one bite and in the trash. So sad to see a business that used to have amazing service and delicious food fall so far! Will not return and can not recommend! read more

Very pleasantly surprised when we first tried Main Moon. I guess you need NYC quality to survive in this neighborhood and that is what they have. Generous amount of meat in dishes like Chicken or Beef with broccoli. Dumplings are very good. Service is fast and efficient. Super happy with them! read more

Wanted to know if anyone got sick from the food from March 9 2019 forward I ordered 60.00 worth of food my family only ate small portions and were all sick that night. Please put it online. I don't like giving bad reviews but this cannot be a fluke. We were going to bring back all the unused food but wanted to see if anyone else had any issues. I've eaten here probably 15 times now. And the food is very inconsistent. On several occasions everything has come out undercooked, especially the lo mein. The noodles are always hard. Shrimp toast has been burnt every time. The fried rice is definitely from the day before. I got sesame chicken tonight and it was basically 10% chicken 90% breading. Barely any sauce. I'd like to give this place another chance but my wife will kill me because I've ordered from here so many times since moving because the first few times were so great. But the last 10 or so times have ruined this place for me. I guess I'll have to travel to get decent Chinese. read more

The best I ever had... lol (seriously, though) I have tried countless chinese restaurants throughout the years and this one always comes forward with the freshest vegetables, seafood and meat.... I'm enjoying their pad Thai right now and had to download Yelp just so I could let it be known that I adore this place! Great customer service and great food, I wouldn't eat anyone else's pork fried rice until I tried this restaurant.

My wife and I ordered take out here on Friday, 8/2. We ordered pork fried rice, pan fried dumplings, and General Tsao's chicken. The dumplings were cooked nicely and tasted good as usual. We usually get sweet and sour chicken which is just ok for me. However, this time we got General Tsao's chicken to change it up a bit. The chicken was crispy and had a sweet sauce with just a bit of kick at the end. My wife liked it and she's not a big spicy food person. I didn't give Main Moon a 4 star for two reasons. First, the fried rice wasn't great. It had very little pork, practically no onions and no egg in it. I love fried rice and this was lacking in ingredients which made it kind of blah. I hope the owners see this review and improve their fried rice. Secondly, I attempted to go to their website (listed on Yelp) to look at a menu, but when I did, the domain was not owned by anyone. Disappointing and unbelievable in this day and age. Finally, I want to mention that I have eaten here for many years and have NEVER gotten sick as another reviewer has suggested. read more

Got the chicken and string beans lunch special with wonton soup and brown rice. The beans were fresh and the chicken was tasty, the brown rice was not very good as some of it was clumped together and a weird color. Soup was good, everything was just okay. They Didn't even give me a fork to eat with as it was to go. I didn't realize that all of the accoutrements that were in the order area were serve yourself. Might try again in the future. read more

Over the years this place has gotten worse and worse.first they started charging for the chinese noodles. Now we wonder where is the the chicken in the general tao chicken and the beef in the tangerine beef. Its all bread crumbs or batter. The shrimp dishes if you are luckey has 3 shrimp in it . July 8th: No babysitter for our seventh anniversary. We order Chinese as we have a dozen times from here. We get our regular order, and my husband decides not to eat the Crab Rangoon. I do, and I wake up just after midnight with food poisoning. I was so sick, and so upset since now there really is no clean Chinese place around.
