Our two normal chinese food spots - one does not deliver. The other closed their Bethel location. My order - What I think was a roast pork egg roll, wonton soup with the smallest bag of crunchy noodles and beef with mushroom. I'll work from the not so good parts of the meal to the better part. The egg roll the tiniest Ive every seen. I think it was supposed to be a roast pork egg roll but I only actually saw one bit of pork. The beef with mushrooms came with alot of no flavor pork fried rice (again limited pork). I think their may have been more onions than mushrooms. On their online menu it stated white rice came with everything and that other types of rice maybe additional cost. However it did not allow you to choose a type of rice or write anything in special instructions. Finally the part of my meal I liked the best - the Wonton Soup. I think three starts was giving them a bit of an extra boost. read more

We just got take out from Main Moon. It was terrible. Wonton soup with no flavor. Pork fried was greasy and taste less. And the General Chow chicken was just okay. What a disappointment! Won't be going back there. read more

don't waste your hard earned money here. it's just not good. there are other places with better food in town. the family enjoys the chicken wings, which is why we ordered other items, but that was all that was good. The staff at main noon has completely improved their food. They got the hang of it and I am happy to change my review. Their meat is fresh, good cuts. Veggies fresh. Consistent dish. Egg rolls fried in clean oil now. Online ordering glitches sometimes but overall it's easy and the service is good too. They have been a lifesaver during 2020 with the storms and and closures, it's nice to have them here. read more

Probably one of the worst chinese takeouts in the area. Flavors were not there. There was not enough flavors and some was not close to what it was supposed to be. Being cheap and taking the short route is not it. The MOST thing i want to point out is the fried rice. They have cheaper out and used spanish style long grain rice instead of JASMINE RICE. You can taste the difference and is a big no no for me. They also dont even fried rice as per order. They already pre cooked it then put it in steamer pot so it's really not fresh fried rice cooked. read more

Restaurant refused to refund my $67.76 for an order placed on 4/12/22. The order was accepted online, but when I tried to pick it up the door was locked and the lights were off. I called on 4/13 to straighten it out and was told it would take a half hour to cook my order. What? I had to eat something else yesterday so I ordered at a different Chinese restaurant. No apology or explanation. Pretty callous. Was told to call my credit card company to dispute it as they are not able to issue a refund. Spent a half hour on the phone and am still working on the dispute. Bad business practice and only okay food. read more

Used to be good now SUCKS! I'm so sick from all the dirty oil they used. My sesame chicken was definitely not chicken. Egg roll was so brown from dirty old oil. All the food had a weird smell to it. I'm a fan of Main Moon over Moon Star. Moon Star is a couple minutes down the road from Main Moon and I've heard nothing but good things about them over and over and over again - but I've never been pleased with my meal there, I always end up wishing I'd stuck with Main Moon. read more

This place has gone way downhill, was very good years ago. Ordered pork fried rice recently, that looked like chunky style sawdust, steamed dumplings dipping sauce reminded me of motor oil, sweet & sour chicken pieces the size of quarters were far too small, egg rolls had a medicinal taste. I won't go there again. Heard there were new owners. Can't see this place staying in business with the present ownership. read more

Sometimes you're really in the mood for Chinese food... When I am but I don't want to drive too far, I go to Main Moon. I like their egg foo yung and sweet and sour chicken. Their fried rice is pretty good too. However, it's not the cleanest place. There's a teenage (?) boy in there who wears a tank top and he sweats. The kitchen staff looks defeated. Overall, I recommend the food if you can get past the unhygienic part. read more

Not great. Depressing kitchen, had the feeling like the staff didn't really want to be there. Don't expect to have a conversation about the food or menu. Reactions to our questions (can't really say "answers") made it clear that you pretty much won't know more than the printed menu tells you, unless you speak Chinese. Ordered basic stuff: wonton soup, Kung Pao Beef, chicken fried rice. The soup was average, the rest not even. Both chicken and beef seemed processed, not fresh. Veggies and rice were OK. Had take out here for the 1st time, I like spicy so went hot. For fourty buck had two days of spicy food for dinner, I ask to changed the meal to spicy they did it and it tasted great. Can't wait until next time. read more

Never again. The dumplings where huge. But they where doughy and not fit to eat. The young man that took the phone order could barely talk. My husband went to get the food. And he could barely get the food to him. Guess he did not want to work today. We are in our 70's. We have lots of Chinese food. Never again from this Man Moon! read more

So long Main Moon Brookfield!. This place has been my goto Chinese place for 25 years, now an ownership change. Probably go once a month for the family, spend $50-60 each time. ($720/yr) plus Xmas eve family tradition has ALWAYS been a $100-120 Main Moon tab for everyone home for Christmas. Tonite whoever the financially savvy MBA is taking orders tells me an extra dumpling sauce for 8 dumplings is an extra thirty cents after 25 years and a $20 order. Can you get any freaking cheaper than this? Not wanting to drive his restaurant out of business over lost dumpling sauce revenue, I toss em his .30 promising to NEVER come back with my $750-1000 in annual Chinese business to this clown. Orders over $20 get a free Wonton soup, or two free eggrolls always, but this guy needs .30 for an extra dumpling sauce? I'll be moving my annual $1000 Chinese budget to Moonstar Brookfield (food's better anyway) Hope you can unload 3,300 extra dumpling sauces to make up for my business you just lost! Tremendous value for the money. Super large portions - the steamed dumplings are easily twice the size of those at other places. Fast take-out service. Haven't had a bad meal there yet. I'm getting hungry just thinking about this place. read more

I agree with Joe. The steamed dumplings at Main Moon are great and they'll feed you for a week. All of their dishes are pretty good and they're reasonably priced too. It's a much better alternative than Moon Star down the street with their tough, stringy General Tso's chicken. You can't buy me with your free donuts any more Moon Star.... read more

Food is really good. Priced right and and you get plenty. Especially good is the oversized egg role. Caution - know what you want before calling in your order as communication is very difficult. Two Fridays in a row the place was crowded with customers picking up take out. No place to sit and eat, and parking is very limited. read more

I have had Chinese food all over the world. Though Main Moon is "Americanized" Chinese food it is still my favorite - anywhere - PERIOD. Great for quick take out. Order ahead of time, they will tell you 10 minutes (wait 15-20) and then pick up your order. Fresh and delicious every time. LOVE Main Moon, it is a Brookfield institution. read more

People are pleasant. Food is fine. But they should clean the space around to counter. It had too many cobwebs and dust. Remove fake plastic flowers etc as they only gather dust, or clean it up. read more
