This is a great cafe, I love the plants and how intentional they were with decorating the space. It is also women owned and very supportive of local initiatives and women owned businesses. The coffee is good and their seasonal menu is always a hit. However, if you are trying to eat clean I would not recommend their non-dairy alternatives as they contain gums and other additives. Also, it is a very overpriced cafe. I paid $12 for a latte which I was not expecting. The service is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. Overall, I would recommend everyone try this place as a treat every once in a while. read more

I had heard about this place and saw it on Instagram so I definitely wanted to try. The ambience and aesthetic is really cool. Very black-and-white with lots of fresh plants and Buddha's everywhere. They have lots of oils, books, and coffee for purchase and a huge menu to order from. Ordering was quick and easy, but after we got our food, we realized they never asked if we were dining in or taking away! Both of my orders were supposed to come with hot honey, and did not. Glad that we were eating in and could ask for it. The Zen toast was delicious and very fresh! The Brekki plate left a lot to be desired. In the box, it was pretty sad looking. It made good toast but seemed pretty weak for a $15 plate. Latte was delicious and not overly sweet. It was a great first time and I loved the vibe, but I definitely would stay away from the plates next time. read more

Very modern and clean on the inside! Downside is the place is a bit pricey, you'll spend about $30 for a roast and beverage. But it is really delicious! I've gone twice now and the first time I had the peach and prosciutto sandwich which was SO good. The second time I got a honey bunch latte and the satori toast with burrata, hot honey and prosciutto. I will say the satori toast is LOADED with prosciutto. I must have gone on a day where they were out of micro greens because my toast didn't have any on it and I think that would have helped break up all the meat and cheese! This is a great spot with an earthy vibe, lots of unique beverage and bagel options and fast, friendly service. If you're sick of the long lines, waits, attitudes and shenanigans of Starbucks and the like, come to Kaffe Karma instead. You can get great coffee and tea, delicious breakfast sandwiches, books, and merchandise all in the same place-all in the company of real plants, a cozy fireplace, and comfortable seating. I had a hot matcha latte with a couple of pumps of vanilla syrup and an everything pumpernickel bagel breakfast sandwich (funky bagel type, right?). It was very good and I'll definitely be back. I took off one star because I think they need to consider re-arranging a bit to add more seating. It can get crowded in there. One time I came in and left because I wanted to eat-in but there was no where to sit. read more

I've been going here since opened years ago now and I am not sure if it's the increased recognition, too many orders or what but the quality is not keeping up. I just picked up a holiday specialty latte which was $9 and didn't include all that it says on the menu (peppermint bark latte without any peppermint bark ?!?). This is the 2nd or 3rd time recently with a specialty drink where something was missing and NOBODY said anything. I can understand if you run out of ingredients but you MUST tell the consume prior to them ordering or offer something rather than just handing it off. I love the ambience and everything about this cafe since 2022, but I hope that growing does not equal less attention to quality of product and service, especially at the price point! Brew HaHa grew because it maintains this at every location.... I'm born and raised so I know what's available and has been, don't take advantage just because social media has given this establishment viral attention. And yes there was a time I was here multiple times a week if not everyday but as the line grew to be more often out the door I come less to be honest. read more

Stopped in and decided to try a Dirty Chai with oat milk. The staff greeted me and showed me the menu. Had a seat while waiting for my drink and checked out the decor. This place is so cute and decorated beautifully for the holidays. My drink came up quickly and I really liked it. Plenty of comfy seating inside and outside as well. I went there an hour before closed and they're already packing the tables up and turning the music off, which is odd since they preach community and being a third space. I got their seasonal iced cherry chai and it was pretty bad plus it cost wayyy too much considering what I paid. Before the staff turned it off, the music was blasting and overstimulating, and the whole store looked a mess. A waste of time and money, will not be going again. read more

The service here was beyond exceptional. I had one of the best bagels I have every eaten here. It was a glazed cinnamon bagel with garlic herb cream cheese. They have a variety of bagels and pastries. The menu is extensive as well, including both savory items and all sorts of drinks. I had the drip coffee which was perfect! They offer both iced coffee/drip and cold brew. There is table seating and couch seating - indoor and outdoor. Plenty of parking space as well! read more

I had super high hopes for this place. I ordered a $6 iced latte and not only was the chai very bland, the drink was mostly milk unfortunately. The wait was also a bit long considering they had 6 people behind the counter. It did although smell super delicious inside and the interior was very modern and cozy at the same time. We ventured out to our wonderful little coffee spot this morning to meet the Grinch! The Grinch was marvelous! Kindhearted and playful. There's a large, free parking lot which is a nice bonus. We enjoyed our hot eggnog gingerbread chai, hot peppermint bark latte, an everything bagel egg, cheese, and sausage, and a white chocolate chip cranberry cookie the size of my daughter's head. All delicious and highly recommended! It was quite crowded and busy, but the staff worked diligently and efficiently, all with smiles on their faces. Thank you for all your dedication and hard work! This review is on the sandwiches. Shared with my dining partner how cool Karma was so she checked it out the next time she was nearby and hungry. She brought back these sandwiches which were like $15 a piece. They were really pretty but there was almost nothing to them. The egg salad one was ok but the bean one had zero flavor. Zero. I said it looked like they used the expensive Wegmans gluten free bread and she said no, she added the extra slice of bread as when she opened the box there didn't seem to be enough food. And she was right - after these sandwiches, including the slice of Wegmans bread - we actually made another meal and ate at home. Should have done that from the start. So if you want pretty food, this is it. If you want food that actually resolves hunger, you may want to spend your $15 per sandwich somewhere else. I mean, I think you can get an entire pizza at Wegmans for $18? read more

Yummy! First time visiting Kaffe Karma and definitely won't be my last. I can see why this place was busy when I arrived. I originally wanted to get the blue matcha, but they were out of it. I ordered the green matcha instead. The loaded Sammie was absolutely amazing! I ordered it on sourdough bread. Holy smokes. Think breakfast sandwich with your favorite protein and elevated to the next level with choice of cream cheese, fried egg, avacado and micro greens to finish a drizzle of hot honey!! We've been coming here more often, and we still like it. -While their espresso is very good, & their food is solid, anything beyond their sausage bagel sandwiches, or basic drinks, is very over priced. - The staff are mostly very young, but friendly. (We don't get bad vibes, or dirty looks, from them like we do from the people working at some of the Brew-hahas & Sleeping Bird.) But kaffe karma does seem overstaffed & a little chaotic & inefficient. (We counted 11 girls working behind the counter one day... 4-5 is all you need for a place like this.) -But, to be fair, I think my husband & I are too old for this place... most of their customers seem to be college girls. Maybe just 15% men? Oh well. - the vents & pipes definitively need a dusting, and some paint touch ups. Plus, they have to cut down on their supply clutter read more

Unfortunately, I'm not impressed with the beverages at all. The presentation was nonexistent with my Cortado and my matcha green tea. My Cortado had way too much milk in it. I had higher expectations from people I know who speak highly. I just wasn't impressed. They were out of chai. Really? I ordered an oat bowl which was good but I wanted a little sweet by the self service honey came out like water. Seriously who waters down honey? My wife liked the avocado toast a lot. Of course the fall menu expired that day so the menus weren't in so we had to pick different drinks on the fly. Also the atmosphere is just sterile. Everything is white on white. Not cozy at all. I wanted to love it. We stopped in on a weekend and this place was mobbed to say the least. On top of how heavy the foot traffic was, there were also vendors inside which made this place feel small despite the tall ceilings. The vibe is unmatched from other coffee spots in DE but it just felt too busy right to enjoy the day I was there. (which for a business that's a good problem to have) I plan to be back! read more

1. Coffee is delicious! Plus they have an entire station of all different types of milk, sugar, honey, cream, etc so you can personalize it however you want! 2. The pastries are out of this world. Went to get a scone for my wife and stood there for 5 minutes deciding what to get! Ended up getting 3 different kinds! 3. I am jealous of all the people that come and get some work done inside. This place is definitely not in my budget yet I keep coming back????? I most recently discovered the blue matcha drink & I am obsessed. Every sandwich / toast I get is of high quality. I appreciate the aesthetic of the food but the freshness of the ingredients as well. You can tell everything is super fresh, nothing frozen or pre packaged. I did some digging and Brandywine roasters actually started as BrewHaHa! and others in the 90s. It and has been around in its current form since 2015. I really enjoyed the bags; they apparently are all done in-house in a printing shop and are hand-printed. Besides the artwork, each bag has traceable detailed information about the coffee within and a wax seal. You can see how cool the artwork is; I picked up a few bags for Halloween. The coffee itself was on par with any other high quality small roaster; the roast is light to medium with a good smooth flavor profile that was mildly fruity but more subtle that I was expecting given the artwork (maybe next time I shouldn't look at horror movie inspired knife while tasting). Highly recommended, especially if you have a coffee lover and need a thoughtful gift.

I can't remember my own name most days so the attention to detail was seriously impressive. After noting all the attention to detail I started looking up the owners info. Wasn't on their Instagram (which I did follow) but was buried somewhere on their website. The gentleman is Aaron, a trained chef who worked around the U.S. and France. Samantha is an established mixologist. No wonder their food and drinks are outstanding in flavor and presentation. Whenever I'm in the area I'll definitely be back. Check them out!
