The staff members were friendly which was really nice service. Food was delivered to our table on time. Was quiet fast actually which was also great. Now on to the food I ate. The menu has sweet items such as pancakes, but I went with the Croque Lacrosse. I really wanted a smoothie so the savory croque with the sweet smoothie really complemented one another. Both of the items are absolutely delicious. The croque dish also came with a side salad which was tasty too. Also, the matcha cookie was so heavenly good. Not too sweet, perfect amount of white chocolate and matcha. I think there are macadamia nuts in it but I could be incorrect. Highly recommend this cookie. The smoothie I ordered was the Yellow Power(?) smoothie I believe it is called. That tasted so good! My only issue I had was that there were fruit flies that wanted some of my smoothie haha. I didn't like the mini flies around my food while I'm eating. Overall very great place for a nice meal and conversation. It's not too far from the Vesalius University so it's very great if you want to head to the restaurant after or before class.

The pancakes are delicious and so are the bagels. Last year during exam season we even got together to study at Coffee Lacrosse, and I don't think I've ever studied that well! The food was a real mood booster! I went last week and I appreciate how they handled the whole corona situation and abided to all the rules. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a new adventurous brunch spot!

This place was an unexpected highlight!!…read more The pancakes was the star of the show - the chef in the kitchen is doing a good work, we even spotted the two workers in front chowing down on their shared plate of the pancakes - they were soft and really good. Chill atmosphere with people working at their tables with lit flowers in the ceiling, they have a really beautiful spot for being a cafe. I was pleasantly surprised. The lady spoke excellent English and was very kind. What more can you ask for!?

The ingredients were fresh, the eatery is small which can be exceptionally nice on a Sunday afternoon. I hadn't tried bagels before, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Nina without the avocado. I liked that, it shows that there was no problem to accommodate my tastes. It's something different than what we normally have for lunch/brunch and everything in between. They have bagels of the month on their board, that might help you with your choice. The staff was friendly and kind. I finished off with a carrot cake, oh my oh my! Tasty, not heavy on the sugar: it's served with a syrup that fits it perfectly. Overall I had a good experience and I recommend it!

Super cute ambiance in an antiquing/thrifting neighborhood outside from the main touristy area…read more Food was amazing, we actually went here twice during our three days in Brussels. BUT the service and staff were not good. You order on your phone so no interaction with the waiters until you get your food. The first day, we waited about 30 mins for lunch sandwiches, and they forgot the drink (even after we reminded them twice). Then finally we got it to-go at the end, but we couldn't remove it from the tab because we had already prepaid. It also started raining as a bunch of us were dining outside. They did not open the umbrellas or help relocate us to tables inside, we were on our own to scavenge for other seats in the middle of eating. Nevertheless, the food was still so good, we came back again. The second day, my iced latte just tasted like milk. I told the waitress they might've forgotten the espresso shot or could they remake it or add another shot, and she said I'd have to pay for another and that's how it always comes. Super rude and not the customer service we're used to in the US. We had spent $60 on breakfast and they wouldn't fix our drink?! Then, both bathrooms were out of toilette paper and they didn't seem to care or say thank you when I let them know. Just rude service but delicious food. Overpriced, but everything in that area is overpriced...

If you are looking for that great story to tell your friends of how a couple followed their dream…read moreto open a restaurant. This is that story. Both owners, Simona and Tim are big fans of cooking and that shows in the energy and dishes you get served. Added they serve the best hummus of Brussels, is a bonus. Perfect place to have a nice dinner with friends over a good bottle of wine. You can choose your own custom pitcher btw. Again a nice touch. The place is not big (20-30 people), but that helps create a cosy atmosphere. They have a wide range of tapas and Mediterranean dishes that will please everyone. Try to do a talk with the owners, they will be more than happy to explain the story behind the restaurant (they have a gallery a bit down the road) and their love for cooking. When we were invited for the Yelp event, we felt like we were invited in to their home, they cooked us a wonderful dinner. You can't leave but with a smile on your face. I will definitely return with friends to enjoy the whole experience again.
