I like Le Funambule because I almost always find good waffles at the good price of 1€. I said almost always because the waffles sometimes are not at the top expected quality, it really depends on the moment. Sometimes the pastry is not well cooked inside even if they are quite good. The shop makes waffles with any kind of other stuff on the top and crepes with various other ingredients. I tried both and I liked them. I always have the waffle "nature", that means the basic one, without anything more. This is because the pastry is already sweet and it is enough for me. The crepes I like the most is the one with dark chocolate: a great one! Among all the shops serving waffles, I think that Le Funambule offers a very good product compared to its price.

House of Belgium has this recipe down pat! No reason to travel abroad for the waffles. They are delicious but we actually have a version that would satisfy the palette. This almost never happens so be proud Cincinnati. Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Cuban on the other hand are all disappointing in the states so this.....IS A WIN! Wifey did a little research and found this spot but there are so many places like this in Brussels that it probably won't matter where you go. Happy exploring! Not so humbly submitted, Michael C.

Fantastic service, and significantly faster than the brand name competitor up the road (wink). The visuals are inviting, and while they do have a menu of options to choose from, you can also request your own creation for the same price. I got a waffle with kiwi, banana and strawberries topped with whipped cream for €6. I couldn't finish it all! VERY filling! They're located right next to Mannekin Pis; there's a large replica next to their store, can't miss it. No seating, so be prepared to take your order to go. Highly recommend, but come on an empty stomach!

This is an ok place to get started on your daily Belgian waffle intake, but there are plenty of other waffle places around.

Great walk up counter for waffles. There were two tables out front to eat at but if you are eating like a local, take the plain waffle to go

Not that there's a shortage of these places, especially close to the old town where they have them sitting in their windows to entice people. It works too, often these places have queues out the door and down the street. Anyway, after queueing here for only a short time I chose I waffle topped with strawberry sauce, whipped cream and fresh strawberries, while my partner (with an unexpectedly less sweet tooth) opted for a plain, sugar dusted waffle. We took a seat in the small cafe area in the back, but could just as easily taken them to go. It was great. The fresh waffles here always are. Probably they could have gone easier on the strawberry sauce, but that's just personal preference. The waffle was delicious. I've been wondering if I can get a waffle iron and make my own ever since. Oh, and if you're not feeling waffles they also do crepes, as well as juices and milkshakes.

I myself sat in the seating area and enjoyed an amazing banana and dark chocolate waffle tailored to suit my needs; and a cup of green tea. Not only was the food great, but the man serving seemed to love what he did, as he was very friendly and gave great customer service to every customer that passed through. Nicest waffles and waffle place I have been so far in Brussels. Will definitely be coming here again!

The thing is that I probably should eat the waffles, but seeing them piled high with delicious cream and a multitude of fruits, they are hard to resist. So, I decided to get one from here. They were too pricey, but the experience wasn't all that great. Needless to say the waffle was okay, not actually not hugely fantastic - I guess like in a lot of cases my eyes ended up being much bigger than my stomach.

So which is it Break Point? When visited the place the first time, I was looking for a place where I could eat pasta: which is incredibly hard in the city center. I ordered the salmon pasta to the kind waitress. My order arrived shortly. I enjoyed it although I had to adjust the spices a bit *I haven't found a restaurant who just gets it right with the spices, why is everyone so afraid of salt?* The interior is very nice, very open with a comfy nook in the back. There's also the possibility to eat outside but it wasn't appealing to me. There's oil on the table (excellent for the pasta). I used the restroom which was modern and very clean; like they all should be, right? Their position is also ideal, it's in one of the side streets of Anspach. I recommend the place if you're looking for a quick bite to fill a hungry stomach.
