Living close to the original Coffee Lacrosse on General Jacques, and frequenting it quite often, we were super excited to find out they were opening a second location in Sablon. We decided to have an impromptu brunch this morning and decided to give the new location a chance. On the weekends they have a set brunch menu and so I got the Salty Fluffy and the wife got the Poachy. The Poachy was an avocado toast in which the wife added poached eggs, and the Salty Fluffy was American pancakes with bacon. Both came with a choice of croissant or pain au chocolat, and then fresh apple juice, yogurt with granola. The food came out pretty quick and compared to other brunches in Brussels, Lacrosse knows what they're doing. The eggs were poached right then and we're still warm. She really enjoyed the avocado toast. The pancakes were a bit battery in places, and there could have been a bit more syrup, but they were nice overall. There were lots of nice little touches and the price was nice as well... Not to mention they have GREAT coffee! read more
