Half the family went to eat in, and two of us could not make it, but got food taken home - 1 beef teriyaki don, 1 chicken curry katsu don, and 1 negitoro maki. I woke up twice with diarrhea in the middle of the night, my partner did this morning, and so did my mom who dined in... And no, my mother was out all day, and the only meal we shared together was this one as a family all day. It was a Sunday (August 17), and they are closed Monday, so it really felt like we got the tail end of the products before closing for a day, which is unfortunate if that's how they want to treat loyal customers, but giving them the stuff going bad before the weeks end. What is for certain is the food handling practices aren't up to par regardless if they want to utilize old stock before closing Monday, at least do your due diligence as a food handler to ensure it's safe to eat and not sitting in the danger zone for hours. Usually this place is really good so I'm a little perturbed by the lack of expertise/food handling standards I've come to expect.

You need to spend about a hundred dollars to actually feel full and satisfied so it can get pretty expensive for the tiny portions. My friend and I honestly had to go and buy some protein bars from Superstore to actually feel full after spending 90 bucks here, we actually had to eat 3 bars each to feel full after this restaurant. So I guess if you don't mind splurging on sushi for a day and you're gluten intolerant it's alright but it's definitely a money grab.

Take out and going to restraints has gone up so much, I'm always a little surprised by the bill but not at all in a bad way this time. After looking over the menu, we placed our order for some sashimi, oshi and gyoza. Food arrived after a short wait. Sashimi was fresh. They were deep fried nicely and super crispy. Service was great. Our server checked up on us regularly to refill water, removed dirty plates and asked if we needed anything else. Prices a bit higher than average, but the quality of the food was good.

The restaurant is spacious and cozy. For each table there is a tablet for ordering. I ordered a Soy Chicken Karaage Donburi as it looked delicious on the menu pics. The rice bowl came with miso soup. The donburi looked good with sufficient portion for a strong man. It was tasty, however as I kept eating the soy chicken karaage got more and more salty. Finally I couldn't have anymore. I finished the rice and it was well cooked. I drank two cups of tea after having the donburi. I didn't try other dishes, perhaps I will give them a try when I come here next time. I do hope the chef could make it less salty. Apart from that, service was fine and the ambient was quiet and tidy.

The place looks spacious on the outside as it shares the building and is adjacent joining to the Browns Social House. But once inside you realize it's pretty small with only 6 dine in tables and more suitable as a takeout joint. We wanted to keep it simple and ordered a Sashimi Box and a Karaage Don. The Karaage Don's chicken didn't taste like it had really any solid chicken pieces in it and just comprised of mushed up pieces of chicken parts. Furthermore, it was paired up with a honey mustard sauce on the side which was odd and did not compliment the dish well, definitely had better. The Sashimi Box's contents were pretty big portions, but the Tuna Sashimi was not thawed properly before being served and it had a really strong fishy smell to it. At $26.95, it's overpriced by around $4.00 compared to it's competitors around town in addition to the subpar quality was a real downer.
