I can't say that all the food we ordered was super tasty, but there were good portions and the price was good too! The service was fine and my friend and I defiantly had left overs. I really did like the tempura tho! I would recommend this place if you're in the area, but no need to go out of your way. read more

Hubby and I were trying to find a place to go for sushi that we hadn't been to, when I realized that we hadn't tried Kabuki even though we've lived 5 minutes away for 5 years! I really regret not going sooner! The food was great, service was friendly and fast, prices were really reasonable, I do not have a single complaint. Everything was wonderful! When I say the food was great, I mean GREAT! Everything we had was delicious. The portion sizes were perfect, flavours were amazing, fish was fresh. I ate there on August 22, 2023 and got FOOD POISONING. My friend brought her husband take-out home afterward, and he felt sick too. I contacted the restaurant and they didn't care or have any plan for how they might address my concerns. Their response, which they said to me several times, was "no one else called to complain." Good sushi, great atmosphere, decent service. We ordered seven rolls and watched them being made! Fun experience. We ordered the standard California roll, Negitoro roll, dragon roll, caterpillar roll, rainbow roll, spider roll, and the honey peanut roll! The caterpillar and the spider roll were the favorites at our table. The restaurant itself has good decor (although we did observer some stains), there washrooms were quite small but usable. As for the service, we had two different servers throughout there evening, both smiled and were nice. I'm sure it was my own uncertainty with different cultural expectations but I did feel a little invaded when most of the menus were closed fort us and taken before we'd finished ordering. When time to pay, it took a little longer than I would have liked. I might try another place next time but would come again out of convenience. read more

Food is overpriced compared to other sushi restaurants of the same quality. As an example the ebi sunomono salad is 5$ but is an extremely small portion. Food is mediocre and service wasn't great. I think there are better options in the area and I won't be coming back. read more

Stopped in for an early lunch. So super glad we did. Fresh and flavorful. Price point perfect. I had Teriyaki Chicken Box, came with Miso + Ebi Sunomono. Under $15 and well worth it. I've eaten here two or three times now when I'm in the area and looking for lunch. Always had good service and the food is decent. Today I ordered Bento box A and was considering adding another item. The lady said that it was a fair amount of food and would probably be enough... but if it wasn't I could order more later. She was correct, it was just right. I was on my way to PoCo and took a drive through "The Pitt." Kabuki Sushi is on the south-east corner of Harris road and Lougheed HWY. It's a nice place inside. Looks to seat about 60 people. Overall design is clean and modern looking with framed japanese artwork on the walls. Has a nice mom and pop feel. The menu is quite large. Well over 100 items on it. Special rolls are on the pricey end averaging around $14. Half rolls are an option with these which could be nice for trying one without needed to break the bank. We ordered the Deluxe Sushi combo (about $19.95). it was massive. Included was -2 of each nigiri: Salmon, Tuna, Ebi -Tuna roll (8 piece) -California Rolll (8 piece) -Dynamite Rolll (8 piece) The nigiri came on a separate plate. This could be great for those afraid of raw fish touching the cooked rolls. everything was very fresh and the portions of fish were very large Our second item was the veggie tempura ($6.95). It arrived very hot and crispy. On the plate were 2 yams, 2 sweet potato, 2 gourd, 1 onion ring, 1 broccoli. Service was good. I agree with Chris on this one. If you happen to be in Pitt Meadows and need a sushi fix...then Kabuki will do the job. Hey...its not great...but its not bad. I have had better....and had worse. I find the hot dishes here not bad, but I really find the sushi is kinda hit or miss. I thought the sushi had way too much rice last time. Maybe skimping on the fillings? If you are at the Ramada....or maybe having a soccer game at Harris Road Park, then its a good spot to hit. Just don't expect too much. read more

My girlfriend and I went to kabuki for a late lunch. She ordered the spicy Salmon sashimi and I got the Tuna. My tuna was very off tasting my first bite, I asked my girlfriend to try a piece and she agreed. I tried taking another bite and it made me feel very sick. I told the waitress it was off and asked her to take it off the bill. I was apologetic and embarrassed to ask but i had two pieces and didn't want to pay for off raw fish I didn't eat. When we finished our other items that were mediocre and went to pay we saw the tuna sashimi still on our bill. We asked confused and they basically refused to take it off the bill. I left paying over a 50 dollar bill for food that was either off or not very good with horrible service. Do not recommend. read more

Friendly and quick service at this neighbourhood Sushi joint. Toro Maki could have been a little fresher, and the spicy tuna rolls were smothered in hot sauce completely hiding the taste of anything else. Wild Salmon Maki was good. Complimentary edamame was delivered. While this isn't a destination spot, it's a short walk across the street from the Ramada Hotel, which will likely have me returning again. read more

Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I have been a loyal customer of Kabuki for years. I had placed a pick pick up order; two cones with no rice, among other items for dinner. Once home and eating the cones I realised they had rice in them. I called Kabuki to let them know, and they asked that I bring them back. I was not keen on the idea heading back out on a rainy Saturday night so just asked they be credited on my account for next time. ($6.00) The waitress agreed and then hung up. A few minutes later the waitress called me and asked for my address as the manager and owner wanted to come over to my house to inspect the food!! When I said no, I was not giving my address out to strangers she rudely asked "why not??" Honestly the hundreds of dollars a loyal customer has spent in years of patronage is irrelevant. It seems Kabuki is very happy to take your money but not honour their product when things are wrong. They have lost a lot more than $6.00 with refusing to back their product. I will never go back and I suggest you wouldn't go there either. read more
