When we originally pulled up we were questioning our decision on our selection but decided to go in anyway......and we weren't disappointed!!! The staff was very friendly and patient. They explained all of their options and specials. The food tasted amazing, the best kabobs and Indian food that we've had in a very long time! We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures ‍ we will definitely make our way back over there!!! You will not be disappointed!! read more

One of the best spots in the DMV to get karahi, or any Indian/ Pakistani food for that matter. I often frequent this place with my family or friends and I've found that the kabob karahi dish is by far my favorite. It's a bit on the spicier side, so if that's not what you like I'd proceed with caution. All the kabob and chicken dishes are great, and they even have mango lassi and chai which both taste great. I also really like the chaana/ cholay which are served with each meal. I'll be here again. And again. read more

As a Pakistani I can say this food is very authentic and delicious. It's a little hole in the wall so don't expect any fancy plates or dishes. Try the chicken karahi if you want a kick of flavor. The restaurant is small and there's often a wait. Big parties are hard to be sat here but they do cater if you're interested. read more

Kabob N Karahi - Chicken Karahi - Pakistani Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

Food is fresh and tasty, catering to those who enjoy South Asian (Indian-Pakistani) cuisine. Meat (chicken, lamb, beef, goat) served is halal. Barbecue is served fresh, not reheated. Curries, rice, vegetables, etc. are generally fresh given the trays are refilled often given the busyness. Naan bread is freshly baked in Tandoor (oven). Service is efficient but courtesy is often lacking. It is virtually a cafeteria style place where you carry your tray to tables. In that respect, service is limited to ordering, paying, and picking up food. Ambiance is fine for a semi-fast food place. It is clean, generally. A place to eat and not for romance. When the restaurant officially opened, I took my family there along with a friend's family visiting us from Long Island, NY. We were their first paying customers. Had to pay cash since card equipment was not set up in time. read more

As a member of the traveling foodie community I need to tell everyone about this place. It is truly a dining experience for anyone who loves South Asian cuisine! Everything had so much flavor in every bite and the best part is how they present the food. From one foodie to another, this place is one of those "best kept secrets" that you have to visit ASAP... read more

This was my second time here and I think it's about time I wrote a review for them. Well I could go on and on regarding how good their food is and how good the kabob's are and that's exactly what everyone should do. It's very simple, the food is exceptional. This is the kind of small simple place turning up amazing food. I had the lamb kabob's which came with the salad, a side vegetable (I choose Chole) yes for those of you who don't know what that is, it would be the garbanzo beans which were okay. What I loved was the kabobs and the bread which was fresh and amazing. Not the first time I came here and it wouldn't be the last. read more

There were so many negatives I don't know where to start! The customer service for the personnel behind the counter was very rude. We arrived a little after 5 pm. When we got to the counter, they were out of half of the menu items. They asked us if we would like spicy, regular, or mild. I ordered spicy. There was no spice to the chicken karahi at all. When we order spicy, I usually have to drink lots of water because I cannot take spice. But my family loves spice, so we always order spicy. I could not even taste the spice that is how bland the food was. Not only that, the dish had no salt whatsoever. The white rice (we had to order this because they were out of biryani) was undercooked. The naan were as hard as a rock. For the salad, we got a few pieces of lettuce with a whole sliced onion. My family left there very hungry. And lastly, they ran out of chai and did not have any time frame of when they would be making any more. The time mismanagement was so obvious. On top of it all, I paid almost $60 for unedible food. I did not want to even give 1 star. read more

My go dishes are chicken Karahi (I prefer boneless although some prefer the bone option). I like haleem on the weekends and they also have different specials on different days like chicken biriyani. I would suggest ordering in advance by phone so you don't have to wait as long for the staff to prepare your order. Overall, the place is clean. read more

We were passing by the area and decided to try this place. We are happy we did that ! Loved the goat karahi.. Just awesome.. Goat Karahi - 4.9/5 Kabob Karahi - 3.75/5 Will strongly suggest the goat karahi. The place tends to get very busy during the evening and it is bit difficult to get the table. read more

Decent Kababs.Chicken kabob sometimes not cooked thoroughly, can be cooked more...Bathrooms can be a bit cleaner bet hey...

Love this place. Every time we come to visit family in the area we come here almost daily. Delicious!

My fam can't stop raving about this place. Chicken Kabob - Moist and juicy meat well-seasoned. No dry chicken here! Chick Peas - A little too cumin-y for my taste, but good Fresh Naan - Who doesn't love hot, fresh naan? I was also told their curry and lamb are also outstanding dishes to try (even for people that don't like the game-y taste of lamb) Prices were fair with generous hearty portion. This is a great place to go because they're open late with not many food(ie) options in the area. If you are in the area, this is a great place to try, but not a place worth driving all the way here read more

Their food is absolutely delicious and they have fast service. I also love that they are open very late into the evening.

The food was not to my liking. I do not think anyone should go there. not to ment how expensive everything was. I did not like the service either. read more

Good tasty kabobs. I love their kabobs, especially beef and chicken options, though the kabobs aren't always seasoned consistently, but they're definitely on point more often than less. You can't beat their naan, chick peas, and rice is really good. I wish they had lentils available more often. Love how they've expanded. read more

I have been going to this place since it opened for years and the service has always been good but recently they have been so stingy with the food serving and they treat me so bad when I've been a yearly customer to them! When in need for desi food, this is the place to be. The only issue is that it can be a complete hit or miss with the service and food. Today's experience was a complete HIT. The staff were so kind and friendly. The food was amazing! We ate every bite of the kabobs, Karahi, and naan. 100% recommended! read more

Kabob N Karahi is my number one go-to. I live maybe a mile away and they never seize to amaze me. I always call ahead, pick up and never leave disappointed. Their food is packed with flavor and you can choose your spice level. My goal is try one of everything on their menu. I will always root for this business. A great perk is that they are open late! What could be better? Open late and good food! read more

Excellent food. The service was exceptional and the food taste good every time I go. Been going for years and never disappointed

First time coming here and definitely wont be the last! Today I got the kabob and chicken boti combo-amazing!!! I chose the chickpeas and salad as my side. The chickpeas are the best chickpeas I have ever had. The spice was amazing and had a good mixture of sweet and savory taste to it. The chicken itself was fresh and made to order. The spices were really good and tender. The kabob was also juicy and had great taste to it. For the price, you get a good portion of food!! The chicken, kabob, chickpeas, salad and naan all makes for a good amount of food and will leave you satisfied. I can't wait to be back and try other things on the menu!! read more

I haven't had much Middle Eastern cuisine, but there's no denying this place is one of the best hidden gems in Montgomery County. I've come multiple times over the past several years and have had various dishes (several karahis and the lamb kabobs). For those unaware, a Karahi is essentially a stew that contains some protein along with a bunch of spices. The Lamb Karahi is by far my favorite, and the liquid sauce is the perfect dip for their naan bread. Be wary, if you can't handle very spicy, get the mild flavors, because the spicy here is HOT. The karahis are large enough to serve 2 people, although I have been guilty of finishing a whole one by myself. They pack a ton of flavor, and it's a taste profile unlike any I've ever experienced before. The lamb kabobs are also extremely delicious, although they take a while to cook. I highly recommend ordering the lamb kabobs ahead of time and getting them to go. Each dish will come with a fresh garden salad, which cuts through all of the savory fattiness of your entrée. I typically ignore the salad though and just order an extra naan, because that stuff is so good. I love how late this spot is open, even on weekdays. It's perfect when everywhere else is closed. There's tons of seats and tables available, although they get pretty packed during normal dinner hours. Price-wise, I think it's a tad bit overpriced, which is why I'm giving this place 4/5. For one person, I typically pay around $15, but hey, this isn't somewhere I would go to everyday (although if it were cheaper, I'd consider). I haven't had anything bad here - everything is delicious. If you want to venture into a unique cuisine, come here. You won't be disappointed. read more

Great flavor! Great tasting food and amazing week specials! This is an unexpected gem to find!

The food is 10/10 GOAT KARAHI It is so tasty, the food is great. Not the place to go if you're expecting really fancy dine-in/waiter service but that does not make it any less great. It feels like a perfect place to eat with family and friends and it's open for long hours (perfect for those who eat dinner pretty late). read more

I have eaten here every year for the past 6 years, I come down every August to visit family and this always the one place I make sure I visit. These guys do it right. Little bit of a wait for the food, always worth it though. Spicy goat is SPICY always good

Food: the flavoring in this food was absolutely delicious! My family and I ordered the goat and chicken Karahi, with naan bread, and a side salad. Both dishes came out steaming hot with a strong spicy smell. The goat was cooked perfectly and well seasoned, the meat pulled right off the bone. The chicken was also very tender and packed with spices and flavors. As for the spice level, I would say it varies depending on person. I didn't think it was too unbearable, but my boyfriend said it was pretty spicy. The naan came in huge pieces and smelled so good. The salad wasn't very elaborate, it was just chopped up lettuce, union, and tomato. However, the meal did come win a green, watery sauce that tasted delicious! I put it on the salad and some of my meat. I wanted to take the rest of the sauce with me that's how much I enjoyed it. Another gem I found at this restaurant was this mango drink called "Maaza." This juice was SO GOOD! It was a little thicker than your normal juice, but the drink tasted just like someone took a mango and put it in a blender. If you're craving good, authentic Pakistani food this place is IT. Service: the restaurant is fast food style in the aspect that you go up and order and then you go pick up your food. The man at the cash resister smiled and was very kind. Other: the place seemed very popular and well known around the community. We went to the restaurant around 3 pm on a Saturday and almost every table was filled! read more

This place has certainly gone down the drain. Extremely rude employees who cut you off while ordering and rush you. However, portion sizes are decent and their karahi's are really good. read more

This restaurant prepares a wide variety of North Indian and Pakistani curries but there is one dish that I hold in the highest esteem... the karahi. Named after the dish KnK serves some of the best karahi and possibly the only you will find depending on how far your willing to travel. Essentially a pool of savory lava filled with potent spice aromas in a traditional sautéed pan that looks more like a small shield. Simmering and swimming inside this sauce is your choice of beef, lamb, chicken or brains. Having a plate of this to share among friends with rice, nan and some yogurt sauce is pretty hard to beat. I've also had their kabobs, which are pretty awesome too. This restaurant is pretty hectic though with large families and children running around. The decor is less than up to date and they could use a overall scrub down. Once you order at the counter, you will hear your name called and you pick up your food at the counter. The service ends there and your on your own to indulge in your catch. This is a hidden gem and if decor, ambiance and service deter you from experiencing karahi bliss then maybe it's not for you. I wouldn't take a first date here due to the noise, decor, cleanliness and the sight of me stuffing my face/eating with my hands. But I definitely took her here eventually, now that being a messy eater and farting are acceptable . Atmosphere: 2/5 Food/drink: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Service: 2/5 Overall 4/5 read more
