Excellent food! I get two chicken kebabs and the grilled veggies and it's always delicious. Highly recommend.

How in the world have I never Yelped this place? I literally order take out from them weekly…read more I'm going to prefix this review that if you're the kind of person who thinks Moby Dick has great, authentic food... you shouldn't come here. Kabob n Karahi uses authentic spices, and what you get is like the difference between chef boyardee and actually going to Italy. This is a very local chain, and the restaurant honestly feels a bit like a high school cafeteria. It's probably not the place to go for a date night. :) This is why I have gotten take out 47191 times and eaten there once. The food is amazing, and going in does have the benefit that they'll often have specials not in the menu. I'm currently polishing off a lamb kabob, and I actually found a black cardamom pod in it. That's such a different flavour than you'll get most places (and despite the name, it's not cardomom). It's rich in sumac and just YUM. Stop in and grab dinner in the way home, for something flavourful, unique, authentic and just plain different.

The whole meal was packed with flavor and I enjoyed it. I do wish the portion of the meat was slightly more and I really want something spicy but thats not really an option. The kheer (rice pudding) and gulab jamun (cake balls) were great! The kheer has a really good flavor and I always mix them together which makes a great combo.

The sauce is rich, perfectly spiced, and honestly just off the charts. It's amazing to scoop up with their naan, which is soft, fresh, and seriously delicious. You could easily get this just for yourself and have leftovers for later, or bring someone along and share. The portion size is really generous and the price is very fair for what you get. This is hands down the best lamb karahi I've had. I used to go to Ravi Kabob House for karahi, but now Kabob and Karahi is definitely my new go-to spot. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and service is quick. My wife and daughter ordered the lamb and chicken kabobs and were both super happy with their meals too. Everything we tried was tasty and affordable. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and has plenty of seating, which makes it a great place to dine in. Definitely worth coming back to try more dishes!

This was always one of those places my friends and I would come back to whenever people were back in town visiting after college. The food still hits exactly how I remembered. The goat karahi extra spicy was packed with flavor, rich, saucy, and perfect with fresh garlic naan. The kabobs were juicy, the portions were generous, and the mango lassi balanced everything out perfectly. If you're looking for authentic Pakistani comfort food in the DMV, Kabob N Kahari is easily one of the local staples worth checking out.

Exterior and Interior: Very fun interior and has some authentic vibes that people will like. Food Breakdown: * Falooda (4.5/5): Man oh man they make the best Falooda here. The only thing is that the presentation was not great cause it was overflowing and they didn't bother to clean it finally I wish they gave us more cause the cup is pretty small ngl. But taste-wise is solid and always down to get some if I am in the area. * Mirchi Fries (4/5): I loved the cut of the fries as I don't like thick fries and the Mirchi was solid compared to other places. And way better than the fast-food fries but if you love Mcdonald's Fries this is the way it should be. * Mango Lassi: (1/5) PLEASEEEEE do not get this, it is not good at all. There are better options to get and this one is not it. Portion Size: Good for the most part not. bad but I wish Falooda was a little more in the cup sadly. Price: Good! Very happy with the price I paid for my food. Service/Food Delivery: The cashier was honestly not good, no passion minimal effort to serve but hey he could be having an off day. Would I go Back: Yup, but ONLY FOR FAlOODA AND FRIES cause it was that good! Ankush's Final Thoughts: So I would come back but for me, I would only come for the dessert cause the food itself is ok. But I know my friend who went here liked the food for what it is. But one thing we can agree upon is NO LASSI PLEASE. Oh, and they have no WIFI for guests which is wack.

We ordered a…read moremix of a couple of things we were familiar with (Channa Masala Bowl with rice, Pakoras), one thing that looked similar to things we'd had before (Zeera Aloo Roll), and one thing that was totally new to us (Dahi Baray). After ordering, we chose a table and sat down to wait for our food. We noticed that the table was sticky, but after checking several other tables we realized that they were all sticky - they didn't seem *dirty*, just sticky. The Zeera Aloo Roll and Channa Masala bowl came up first. The roll was ok - mostly just roti and very drippy sauce with a few potatoes. I enjoyed the flavor, just wished there was more filling. The Chana Masala was fine -- a bit bland and the bowl was 90% rice, but it was edible. When the Pakoras came out, it was mostly just onions and a couple of potato sticks. Not much flavor there either - I couldn't even really taste the onions, it all just tasted like oil. It did come with a small cup of raita, and that was good. We had no idea what to expect from the Dahi Baray since we'd never heard of it before -- it turned out to be a few little mushy balls of dough about the size of cherries, in a huge bowl of tangy yogurt sauce that was a little bit sweeter than the raita. I liked the sauce - I mixed some with the rice from the chana masala - but neither of us liked the dumplings at all. When we were done, I stopped in the restroom before we hit the road again. I found a fairly large, very dimly lit bathroom with a very wet floor, and while I was washing my hands the dim light went out all together leaving me in total darkness. When I emerged I grabbed some napkins to dry my hands, and my daughter decided that she would wait and use the restroom at thenearby gas station before we hit the road again. Overall not the worst dining experience I've had, but we won't be back.
