I called and ordered two dishes mild. They told me 50 minutes. I called after an hour and 15 minutes and they apologized and said they were leaving then. The food arrived 15 minutes later -over a half hour after they told me originally -and it was so spicy I couldn't finish it. I really do love the food at Kebab Stop. It's not much to look at on the outside. Or the inside for that matter. But the Chicken Tikka - yum. Just yum. Their veggie samosas are really great too! My biggest complaint is their parking - or should I say lack of? Their parking lot is across Falls Road and I feel like I'm in a game of Frogger trying to safely cross to pick up my carry-out dinner at 5:30. my husband and i just moved to the area, and we tried this place because it was close and we were looking for some good indian food. both times were fabulous, and we plan to make this one of our go-to staples for good, well-priced food. giant portions, great selection, and a friendly staff makes for a great dining experience. it's great for take out too. we are slowly making our way through the extensive menu options, and we haven't been disappointed yet. parking might be an issue when it's busy b/c there doesn't seem to be a lot of room around this part of falls rd. definitely give it a go. read more

-Vegan Friendly- The food was good - I will definitely go back for more. Having said that I was extremely impressed with the guys that work here. Very nice, very knowledgeable. Nothing on the menu says "vegan" however there are several dishes they can do vegan - just ask. Below is my first experience at Kabab Stop: I was at a party one evening at a nearby business watching the O's/Royals game and was getting hungry. Being vegan I can't simply order a pizza or go get something at the local pub (which rarely have decent vegan options). Kabab Stop was right down the street, so I walked over with a friend to see if they had anything that might fit the bill. There was nothing on the menu that specifically said "vegan", and there was no way to know if any of the vegetarian items (marked as "vegetarian") had dairy/etc in them. And this brings up the part I hate about being vegan: having that conversation with the waiter/server at a restaurant about whether or not they can do a vegan dish, often having to double check with them to make sure they really know what vegan is, all of this while everyone else ordering is a captive audience. Anyway - when I asked if they could do a vegan option the guy behind the counter pointed out at least 5 vegetarian dishes that he could do vegan. I said something like "no milk or dairy in them, right?" and he was nodding his head and smiling knowingly before I even got the full question out of my mouth. Outstanding! My friend and I ordered and I gave him my mobile number and told him to call me when it was ready because we were going back to the party to watch the game (I had mentioned in passing where the party was). I ended up missing their call, and when I realized I had missed it a few minutes later we planned on walking back over to pick up the food at the end of the inning. A few minutes later the guy from Kabab Stop walked in the door with our food. I felt a little bad that he had walked over, so I offered him a beer and he stayed and watched a little bit of the game while we chatted. I asked him how he knew he could do certain vegetarian dishes vegan and not others, and why the others couldn't be done vegan. He went into detail about how the dishes are made and when vegan ingredients could or couldn't be substituted for non vegan ones. Basically - this guy who took our order and delivered our food also knew how all of it was made from scratch. And they were ALL VERY NICE. I will definitely go back here, and I'll also keep it in mind whenever I'm across the street at the Curbe Shoppe and want something other than fries :) read more

The name is a bit misleading. This is not a place where you can stop quickly and get a kabab--it is a sit down Indian restaurant. This is unfortunate, as there are few places in the area where you can grab a quick, affordable bite to eat. Worse Indian food I ever had! Went in to order carry out and I should of just turned around and left b/c the restaurant smelled like my grandparents old, damp basement but thought I would give them a chance b/c of the great reviews they received. Dark meat chicken was used in my dish which was not mentioned in the description in the menu but raisins were in the description and I did not find one of those in my dish. The Naan bread was soggy and not edible. No spicy at all...we did not tell them spicy but they did not ask either, it was below mild. We do not recommend this restaurant! read more

Very well done North Indian food. Obviously freshly prepared compared to typical Indian restaurants. Ingredients seem high quality, food is not overly oily or salty. I had the chicken tikka platter delivered. The chicken was good. flavorful, grilled just right not too spicy. but that's all that I can say that was great. Everything well... The rice was a little dry but still good. I didnt get the sauce but the naan was not good. The naan was doughy and just tasted bad. I noticed that they gave me channa dal (i dont know if its because they forgot the sauce). I did not find it flavorful or good either. Its definitely not the worst but it could have been so much better and I was more than a little disappointed because I really love good food and this was just a blah and meh at best. read more

Absolutely worst Indiad food I've ever had. This was the first and last time I will ever order from them. Food was flavorless. I paid $10.95 for Matter Paneer and what I received was about 7 pieces of paneer and maybe MAYBE a handful of peas swimming in sauce. You couldn't even see anything but the sauce. This could have had some redeeming value if the sauce was at least tasty...for dipping my Naan into or pouring on the rice. But no such luck. It tasted like nothing. The vegetable korma was another disappointment. Pretty much all potatoes. If I'd have wanted potatoes I'd have ordered Aloo. A few carrots and two pieces of scorched cauliflower rounded out that dish. Ugh! Waste of money and calories. Situated on a major highway in the Mount Washington area, Kabab Stop, is perhaps, the best kabab joint in the tri-state area. At the up and coming cafe-style eatery you will find mouth watering tender chicken marianated in yogurt herb sauce and cooked to its perfection, savory kababs, and warm naan roti to dip in chickpeas made in a fabulous curry sauce! I've had my share of samosas and the flaky meat samosas of Kabab Stop are far superior to any competing restuarant. Every bite is an amazing experience! Can't handle spicy food? That's okay. At Kabab stop you can ask just how hot or mild you like it. Wash down your meal with a cool and sweet yogurt lasse. The warm and friendly family oriented atmosphere was another appealing factor aside from delectable Indian cuisine. Kabab stop is a short distance from the Inner Harbor, Camden Yards and the M&T Bank Stadium! One drawback is that if you're not looking for it, you might not find it. Very slow delivery. I placed my order on 6:30, and it was delivered (after I called them and asked) by 8:05. The delivery person was displacing his anger at me !!! When I called them around 7:45, the one who answered the phone, presumably the same person, first try to give me an excuse that "it's raining". I mean if it was the rain that stopped you from delivering, I would understand. But the fact was the food hadn't been ready by that time. I asked him if the kitchen was also raining, which might be helpful to explain why it took so long, he began saying that they were very busy. I mean Yelp gave me an estimation of 30-45 mins, if you are responsible to your customers, you should inform them if the food is going to take way longer than that. When the guy stood by my door, he even tried to educate me, saying something like I shouldn't take that attitude. Well, what kind of attitude you would expect after keeping your custom waiting for a meal for one and a half hours? Accepting your terrible service with pleasure? How funny is that...What is a bad attitude? An hour and a half for delivery without a sense of apologize is indeed an excellent example. Really really poor. Plainly, if you don't have the capacity to take delivery orders, just don't take them at all! There are plenty of alternatives and your food is just no better then others'. read more
