Ordered takeout and had a great experience! The food was fresh and delicious, especially the chicken kebab. The customer service was also top tier. Will definitely be back.

Chicken Sultani - chicken koobideh and chicken kabob. Simple, delicious, but very flavorful dish with basmati rice & grilled tomatoes.

The food were made with fine ingredients but the hospitality and personal touches of the owners made the experience wonderful.

Delicious, authentic Persian food. The owners cook, serve and do it all! The gentleman owner said he grinds his own beef and takes the tendons and bones out. Super juicy beef kobideh with two delicious roasted tomatoes. Loved my chicken fenenjoon. Comfort food with a sweet, savory, stew made of pomegranates, ground walnuts and a special ingredient-- tamarind. Old school decor. Check it out!

I haven't had great Persian food in years and this place absolutely blew my mind so I had to write a review. For food I ordered Mast O Khiar (Plain yogurt mixed with cucumber, onions and mint). This yogurt goes really well with any entree that has rice so I highly recommend it. And as an entree I ordered beef sultani (a skewer of beef filet mignon kabob and one skewer of beef koobideh). Instead of the white rice that comes with the entree I asked if I could substitute it for their green rice which is called Baghali Polo (rice mixed with fava bean, green herbs and spices). If you've never tried this type of rice I highly recommend it as well. While waiting for the food I listened to Persian music that they were playing and also watch the news that was playing on one of their 80in or 85in massive TVs I really liked the vibe they had and made waiting for a breeze. The lady bringing out the food was very kind and at one point even came around to just ask me if everything that I ordered tasted great which was a really nice touch. To my surprise after I finished eating the chef (possibly the owner but I didn't ask so I can't confirm this) he came out and asked me how I liked the food. I eat out a lot and I can assure you this rarely happens so this level of dedication and attention to detail was outstanding. As for the food you may ask? Everything was cooked perfectly. Each meat was flavorful and tender, the yogurt as fresh and paired amazing with the rice, and the grilled tomatoes they included with the plate tasted delicious. The food was so good that I ended up ordering another plate exactly as my first one to go and also added a plate of beer koobideh with its own side of the yogurt. One last thing, not sure if it was my lucky day or what but they threw in this yellow rice pudding dessert that I've never had before but after tasting it, I definitely recommend it. It is unlike any dessert I tasted before but tastes delicious. I didn't order it so I looked it up online and it's called Sholeh Zard (a rice pudding composed of saffron, sugar, rose water, butter, cinnamon and cardamom).

For the past year, I've been a devoted regular at this tucked-away gem. Amir, the owner and sole cook, prepares each meal with care and is generous with portions. His wife Narges is always so welcoming and serves the meals. Now, it's worth noting that this isn't fast food. Amir prepares each dish to order, ensuring its freshness by the time it is served to you. But trust me, the wait is well worth it. I have heard that Persians are known for their rice. One of the highlights here is the basmati rice--fluffy, aromatic, and a meal in itself. Somehow, I never get that regretful feeling of eating too much rice compared to regular white rice. For starters/appetizers, I highly recommend the hummus and Kashk O Bademjan, both are served with Persian bread, and the Shirazi salad. The hummus is smooth and creamy. Kashk O Bademjan has delicious roasted garlic that is topped with Iranian yogurt. The Shirazi salad is refreshingly crisp and a great appetizer if you're seeking something on the lighter side. My go-to dishes here are the Fesenjan, which is intriguingly tart and savory since it is made with pomegranate molasses, and the koobideh (both chicken and beef). The koobideh is always moist, never dry or overcooked, and seasoned just right. The chicken kabab is another standout: juicy and tender enough to cut with your spoon/fork. Now, I'm not usually a fan of lamb due to its sometimes gamey flavor, but Amir's lamb dishes have completely won me over. The Lamb Barg, Lamb Shish Leek, and Lamb Shank Baghali Polo are all impeccably cooked, tender, and entirely free of that gamey taste. This restaurant also offers some American food options and affordable lunch specials.to include items like smoked tri-tip sandwich, buffalo wings (also available for dinner), rib-eye steak, and burger with fries. I've had the smoked tri-tip several times, and it's consistently outstanding. You really can taste the smokiness of the meat. The Buffalo wings, (8 pcs) are perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sauce. The 1/3 lb burger with fries, priced at just $7.99, is another great deal. The burger is hearty, with a perfect bun-to-meat ratio and fresh produce with cheddar cheese. If you have any room left, I also recommend the saffron rice pudding for dessert. I have never had anything like this before. While the dessert can feel dense, it is contrasted by a refreshing hint of rose water. Finally, wash your meal down with a nice hot glass of Persian tea. Amir and Narges truly care about serving you quality and authentic food. I am sure any dish you try, you will be greatly satisfied.

Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Lunch prices range from $16-$20. 3 different $8 soup offerings: chicken barley, ashe reshteh, or green lentil.

Take-out ordering was convenient but we did have to wait awhile for our food, despite arriving when they said it would be ready. My order consisted of naan, fried fish, shahi paneer, and prawn masala. We also ordered rice, and at most places it's a giant to-go plate of rice, but here it was a small box, which was obviously disappointing (and annoying), especially since all the other portions were pretty big. Why give a big vat of butter chicken and only a small box of rice?? But overall the food was pretty much 3 stars. Solid, but not outstanding.

recently started a vegetarian diet and randomly remembered that this place offers vegan koobideh,…read morewhich is honestly unheard of at most Persian restaurants. We came in on a weekday for the lunch special and I was excited to see it was still on the menu. I ordered the vegan beef koobideh and added a vegan chicken koobideh for $5. The lunch special comes with half rice, half salad, plus a drink. I chose the iced tea and it was really refreshing. For an appetizer, I had my must-have mast-o-musir (shallot yogurt). They also bring out butter and half a raw onion, which I always thought was random until I asked my Persian coworker how you're actually supposed to eat it. Turns out the butter is meant to be mixed into the warm rice so it melts, and the onion is used as a palate cleanser. You peel off a small piece and take a bite between eating your rice and protein. Once you know, it totally makes sense. Between the two koobidehs, the vegan beef was the clear winner. It was flavorful and honestly didn't taste like fake meat at all. The vegan chicken was good, but you can slightly taste that Impossible-style meat flavor. Next time, I'll definitely just get two beef koobidehs. Overall, I'm really glad I came back. Our dinner did take a little while to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait. We ordered the lamb chops with rice and salad, the jujeh kebob, and the salmon kebob. The rice came with a piece of tahdig on top, which was a nice touch. I especially liked the salmon - it was moist and cooked really well. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the lamb chops were soft, succulent, and didn't taste gamey at all. You can really taste the charcoal flame on the meats, which added so much depth without overpowering the dishes. The flavors were subtle and balanced, with hints of saffron throughout, especially in the rice. They also have a good selection of vegan options, which is nice to see. Next time I'm in the area, I'd love to come back and try their stews. Overall, a really good spot with great food. We all enjoyed our dinner here.
