Came to try this spot out. Parking is ample but it is tucked away in a corner. The prices are very reasonable. $15 for a meat plate including tax. Food was good for the price. Service was quick (no line) and he agreed to make my food without onions. He made it spicy for me. Was clean and the server/cook wore gloves and a hairnet. Ambiance was nice. Open seats and a TV playing in the background. Edit: I worry I give too many five-star reviews...but this was VERY close. 5 stars would have included pita and hummus or something.

Chicken kaboob with salad no rice.

Came in wanting a light dinner with meat on a stick. I ordered chicken kabob platter and he was able to modify my platter and remove the rice and just have it with Salad. The man working is so kind and helpful, his name is Masood. My husband ordered the combination platter. The sauces with it were also very tasty, fresh and light and made in restaurant. The dining area is small, but very clean. There is a Tv, a national geographic show was playing. This is a great hidden spot and I will be back.

I was looking for a new place to try a chicken Gyro and decided to give this place a try. I pass by it several times a week. The Chicken Gyro was good. I feel like it was smaller than most Gyros are, but the flavor was good. It is worth trying.

I moved here from the Bay Area 4 years ago and had not found a good Afghan/Mediterranean restaurant in Sacramento. I've driven past this place many times and decided to give it a try today. The food is so good. Everything tastes fresh. The meat was juicy and flavorful. I saw the owner use a meat thermometer after cooking my chicken to check the temperature which I appreciate. The restaurant is clean and inviting. I seriously don't understand how this place isn't packed. The food was amazing and the owner was very kind. I'll be back soon to try other plates on the menu.

I ordered the mix over fries with lamb and chicken gyro, and it was very well done.

Kolbeh Kabob serves Persian and Mediterranean cuisine…read more Language barrier issues with our server affected my ability to order what I wanted, led to an upsell, and prevented me from separating or splitting the bill. Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Lunch prices range from $16-$20. 3 different $8 soup offerings: chicken barley, ashe reshteh, or green lentil.

I woke up on Sunday and decided I needed a milkshake. It was the only thing in the world I wanted…read more I looked for places near me to get one, because I didn't wanna make it myself and this restaurant popped up. I have thought about trying it for sometime, and Sunday was the day. I got my person off of his computer game and we drove down to a decently busy drive through, so we decided to go inside as we wanted to review the menu anyways. The restaurant was clean and cute, almost set up like a little diner. THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. or at least every fast food type item I wanted to see on the menu. We ordered chicken strip basket, a jalapeño burger, a chocolate shake and fried zucchini. There was at least 40 other things on the menu that I wanted to order, but figured this was a solid order for our first time. There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. Don't sleep on this gem. Whether you would call it a drive in or just fast food it is AWESOME.

We've had Burger Shack on our list for a while. We love stopping by old school drive in type burger…read moreshops for a no frills, just good food experience. We stopped in later in the evening for dinner and got the mushroom cheeseburger combo ($12.99), the Pastrami Cheeseburger combo ($14.99), cheese curds ($5.99) and fried okra ($5.99). They gave us our drinks right away and they have the nice crushed ice that's like tiny pebbles. It's always a treat when a spot has this ice because it's tiny and crunchy and not offered a lot. The food didn't take too long and came out on a tray for our dine in experience. There are plenty of booths here and during our visit there were a lot of other people enjoying meals in small groups and couples. The food was hot and fresh and the fries were nicely cooked crinkle cut fries. The fried okra as good, but needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to dip (we had ranch). The cheese curds were great, hot and the cheese was perfectly melty. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger with just mushrooms, cheese, pickles and added bacon. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger. There's plenty of parking here and they have a drive through. I heard the milkshakes are great, so if we stop by again we'll try one.

You can get a street taco from anywhere... but where can you get a zip taco?!…read more Niko's Tacos was voted on Yelp's top 100 for taco spots in 2025. How cool is that!? I have seen Niko's Tacos all over my social media. It instantly caught my attention that I had to come in and see what the hype was about. After spending a very busy day with my client, I came here for a late lunch. I actually almost passed it up. It shares the parking lot with 7/11. There are only about 4 parking spaces out front. When you walk in, there are only 4 tables that can seat up to 4 people each. It is very cozy in here. The only menu I noticed is on the counter at the register. There were so many things to choose from. So today, I am trying their Zip Tacos! For meats, they offer grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, and newly added, al pastor. Inside these zip tacos, there are tomatoes, onion, cilantro, melted cheese, and the taco shell on the outside has sour cream and cotija cheese sprinkled on. Since I decided to sit and dine in, they brought me my order. I got 1 al pastor zip taco and 1 shrimp zip taco. These looked so pretty! I got an order of pretty tacos, lol. The colors inside were vibrant, and the drizzle of sour cream topped with cotija cheese was a nice touch. They offered me mild or spicy sauce. Of course I went with spicy. The shrimp zip taco was different, but very delicious. The shrimp inside was cooked just perfectly. I craved that next bite. The al pastor was ok. It seemed to be missing a little more flavor on just the meat. I loved how the tacos came dressed to party.... in my mouth. They even had bits of crusty cheese along the edges that added tasty bits to your taco. Next time I have a solo taco party, I'll be sure to come with a bigger appetite!
