Came to try this spot out. Parking is ample but it is tucked away in a corner. The prices are very reasonable. $15 for a meat plate including tax. Food was good for the price. Service was quick (no line) and he agreed to make my food without onions. He made it spicy for me. Was clean and the server/cook wore gloves and a hairnet. Ambiance was nice. Open seats and a TV playing in the background. Edit: I worry I give too many five-star reviews...but this was VERY close. 5 stars would have included pita and hummus or something.

Chicken kaboob with salad no rice.

Came in wanting a light dinner with meat on a stick. I ordered chicken kabob platter and he was able to modify my platter and remove the rice and just have it with Salad. The man working is so kind and helpful, his name is Masood. My husband ordered the combination platter. The sauces with it were also very tasty, fresh and light and made in restaurant. The dining area is small, but very clean. There is a Tv, a national geographic show was playing. This is a great hidden spot and I will be back.

I was looking for a new place to try a chicken Gyro and decided to give this place a try. I pass by it several times a week. The Chicken Gyro was good. I feel like it was smaller than most Gyros are, but the flavor was good. It is worth trying.

I moved here from the Bay Area 4 years ago and had not found a good Afghan/Mediterranean restaurant in Sacramento. I've driven past this place many times and decided to give it a try today. The food is so good. Everything tastes fresh. The meat was juicy and flavorful. I saw the owner use a meat thermometer after cooking my chicken to check the temperature which I appreciate. The restaurant is clean and inviting. I seriously don't understand how this place isn't packed. The food was amazing and the owner was very kind. I'll be back soon to try other plates on the menu.

I ordered the mix over fries with lamb and chicken gyro, and it was very well done.

Server did offer to let us choose 2 different meats for our two #41 Koobideh plates (2 beef skewers for $25), but I think we would have been better off just ordering one #61 All Koobideh plate (3 different meat skewers for $34). One plate has plenty of basmati rice for two people to share. She suggested the two #41 orders, instead of answering how much an extra order of rice would cost. Maybe you can't order a side of rice? Rice comes with each entree. By ordering the 2nd plate, she offered or included the $8 Bread Basket for no extra charge. It was my friend's birthday. I wanted to pay, and she wanted to order extra to go, so I wanted two separate bills, but it seemed too complicated to explain or disallowed. After the food was delivered to the table, server didn't check on us anymore. I guess the restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays. My friend thought all the koobideh tasted the same. I liked them in this order: 1) Lamb, 2) Chicken, and 3) Beef, but they're the same texture, so they aren't all that different. I should have ordered a different 2nd entree, instead of two Koobideh plates. The #18 Bademjan Borani eggplant appetizer was yummy. It did come with some bread, so you don't have to order the bread basket. The bread is served warm. The basmati rice was light and fluffy, but not flavorful or buttery. You can pay a $4 upgrade to switch the rice to salad or a fancier stir fried rice. Read the Vegetarian Dishes menu section to learn about the various fried rice or polo preparations. Our server suggested the Fava Bean Rice or Baghali Polo because it is a Persian New Year dish. Yelp reviewers recommended the Zereshk Polo, which includes barberries, a fruit similar to currants. $10 to add a skewer of veggies. $4 to add a salad is mentioned under the Vegetarian Dishes menu and Seafood & Combination Plates menu. I didn't like how the sugar cubes for the Persian Tea were served. It looked communal and exposed to the elements. You could see sugar dust on the serving bowl. Other Persian restaurants serve the sugar in a smaller covered bowl. Formal dining room. Lunch specials are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 3 pm, excluding holidays. Lunch prices range from $16-$20. 3 different $8 soup offerings: chicken barley, ashe reshteh, or green lentil.

It's in a small plaza next to a pawn shop and a Mexican spot, and while the restaurant is on the smaller side, all the window signs make it easy to find. Inside there are a few booths and people waiting for to go orders, but I didn't see anyone dining in. My food was made fresh and took about ten minutes. The man who greeted me didn't talk much, but it was a fast and simple pickup. When the order came out, everything was already packed up and ready to go. I peeked inside the bag before leaving and was excited to see a full chicken platter with rice, salad, hummus, and tzatziki. They also included a chicken gyro on a super soft pita with lots of chicken chunks and fresh veggies and herbs. The food was delicious even after a twenty minute drive home. The tzatziki tasted really fresh, the rice was fluffy and seasoned well, and the chicken had great flavor. There was plenty of food for me, my husband, and our four year old to share. I noticed they offer catering too, and I would definitely consider them for a future gathering. Really impressed and looking forward to coming back to try more.

I was craving a yummy Falafel Corner Chicken Shawarma wrap and visited the Granite Bay restaurant which was closest to my location at the time. I should've known something was not right about this Falafel Corner when I was greeted by a white boy who didn't know what Chicken Shwarma was. My food was truly awful and tasted nothing like the Chicken Shawarma at the other 5 locations I've been to. This version of the wrap had hardly any meat which BYW did not taste anything like Falfel Corner Chicken Shawarma. Instead of being packed with delicious chicken and onions, this wrap had spinach filler mixed in with the chicken and everything was completely drenched in a nasty sauce that absolutely was not tahini or tzatziki. It almost tasted fishy and looked slightly pink. It was totally gross. I ate a few bites and threw that nasty sandwich in my compost. I would have asked for my money back if I was eating onsite. But unfortunately I took this nasty wrap to go and didn't know what I was in for until I got home. One thing is for sure, I will never return to this Falafel Corner location ever again.
