Driving on the busy McKnight road, you cannot miss the sign so after driving passed by a couple of times stopped by on a Saturday morning and tried their weekend brunch. We got there when they opened so had the place to ourselves but by the time, we were heading out, it was starting to hop. The ambiance is cozy and has nice wall decor and ample parking and seating space. The inside was clean. Now onto the food itself. It seemed more authentic compared to multiple other Pakistani-Indian restaurants that I have tried. It was not spicy but had a lot of flavor! There were some dishes that I have not seen at other places and hence have not been able to try for a long time. Whenever I am in this area next time, will make a point to stop here as would like to try some items off the ala-carte menu.

I was visiting my sister so she told me the food here is good so we decided to give it a try. We ordered a chicken Kabob platter, Karhai and their Roghni Naan. We got the food fairly fast. The food was tasty and good. It was perfectly warm. We overall liked the food. The only reason I'm leaving 4 star is because we asked for spicy and the food given to us was more like Mild but of course we were so hungry that we didn't wanted to deal with them remaking the food or complain. Overall pricing was reasonable and food was tasty. I would have given a 4.5 star if I had the option. I would still recommend it. Good halal options are very few and this is definitely one of them. Also they have prayer JanamaZ there for anyone wanting to pray Namaz.

Mango Lassi - super delicious, fresh & creamy

I always pass this establishment and see it packed or empty. It was completely empty on a Saturday night when we arrived; as such, we were skeptical of the experience but kept an open mind in the spirit of supporting local. The waitress Daisy was a sweetheart & took our order immediately. We had the butter chicken & tikka masala, with traditional and garlic naan. We ordered it mild in terms of heat. The food came promptly; the chicken dishes were decent, with a solid amount of chicken & sauce which could definitely be used for leftovers. The sauce flavor was 3.5/5-not the best but not the worst. I have had better Indian, but my hot date loved it. Bring cash for tipping since you can't tip using card. The mango lassi was delicious, fresh & creamy.

Hands down the best Pakistani and Indian cuisine in Pittsburgh! Awesome buffet, esp loved the pullao, aloo qeema and the halwa. Would highly recommend! Very affordable too!

Very delicious, filling and reasonably priced. My first time there, and I ordered the chicken wrap and the somosas. The sauces were especially delicious. We ordered ahead for pickup, and it was ready promptly. The interior was formerly a pizza hut, it's clean, but it lacks ethnic charm

Chicken kabob, garlic naan, butter chicken all cooked in the tandoori what more could u ask for! Great atmosphere and a really fabulous owner for a very authentic experience. Very enjoyable evening.

The buffet is definitely worth coming here for. You get a lot of yummy foods and the mango lassi is delicious. The owner also is a very nice man! I think this restaurant deserves a lot more business than it does. However, the one time I came many months back, I ordered the tikka masala as an entree and was a little disappointed in the flavor. However, returning now, I was very impressed. The tandoori chicken I had was super tender and juicy which is not always the case. This impressed me! To be safe, I would definitely come on the weekends to have the buffet. I can't emphasize the great vibes I get from the owner enough :) Come support this place!!

I went to this place for a Saturday lunch. The buffet included some Indian and Pakistani dishes. The only available kabab was chicken kabab! The only major advantage was the price. The food was not bad. Nothing special. No alcohol either. If you are really hungry and don't have much money in your pocket and like to stuff yourself with that type of food, try this place. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

I stopped by here a couple of Saturday's ago with my wife for dinner. We had both watched the Kabab King take over the old Pizza Hut on McKnight and were looking forward to trying it. Then the pandemic happened and we sort of forgot about it for a while but were happy to see that it was open whenever we finally passed by it again. So we decided to try it for dinner that weekend. We ended up placing a to go order via phone and whenever we arrived our food was ready for us. The lady who waited on me inside ended up being super nice which is always a bonus. For dinner on this evening my wife and I decided to split an order of garlic naan while for my entree I went with the chicken hiryali and my wife chose the kofta. I have to admit that I didn't know what chicken hiryali was and really only became intrigued with it based on the pictures of green chicken on Yelp. However after reading a bit more about it, I was more than happy to order it. It proved to be a good decision too as the flavor of the herbs and spices was outstanding while the chicken was still moist and juicy. My only complaint about the dish is that there wasn't more chicken because it was quite good! My wife's kofta ended up being one chicken and one beef and whenever I tried it I loved it due to it actually being quite spicy. As for the naan here, it was ok, but compared to the entrees it was not nearly as exciting. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our food and who knew that green chicken could be that tasty?

Absolutely love this place. I've had the falafel and the saag paneer and both are fantastic. The mango lassis are really good too. They always have a parking spot and a table available and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend.

I need to try this one more time because I'm on the fence. Came for the weekend buffet. There were some nicely cooked offerings for sure. There were some misses as well. Enough tasty options for me to come back and enjoy a meal, but it's hard to do it over Taj Mahal across the street at the same price point for 3x as many options on the buffet. The tandoori chicken with jalapeño stood out along with their cauliflower dish. There was a chicken dish in a yellow sauce that I fished around to find actual chicken...it tasted like straight queso (and I was the 2nd person at the buffet so it was a fresh pan). Also, they have spoons but no fork which made some of the bone in chicken items drenched in sauce a bit messy.

Those who may not have a reference point as far as Indian cuisine is concerned may not notice this. To give specific examples from our last foray at the restaurant: 1) Punjabi Kadi is a standard, staple dish in the Punjab region of South Asia. In its current iteration, served in the buffet at Taj Mahal, the "pakoris" (fritters) in the kadi were half-cooked. 2) Goat curry--another North Indian staple was had several cubes of goat similarly half cooked. Or maybe the selection of meat was not good. Either way we ended up trying several pieces & then ultimately leaving them uneaten. 3) Lachcha Paratha was similarly half cooked. There were several parts of the paratha which had raw dough. Indian cuisine is not just about "masala" (mixture of different spices). It is about first selection of right ingredients. It is about adding the right spices. And above all it is about ensuring the marriage of those spices to the ingredients and ensuring every part of the food is adequately cooked. It was quite telling that none of the patrons that for that morning lunch hour were South Asian. Perhaps they have learnt to keep away from the restaurant. The service though, was polite, attentive and respectful. The ambiance that of a casual eatery. It will take a lot of time before it attracts its old clientele back, if ever.

The tikka masala and butter chicken are both excellent -- rich, flavorful, and exactly what you want for a great Indian takeout. The garlic naan is perfectly done, and the lamb chops are another favorite- perfectly spiced. Everything is high quality across the board. I really appreciate that we can customize the spice level, and that portions are generous enough to stretch across a couple of meals. Ordering online is simple and straightforward, and pickup is relatively simple. We've yet to dine in, but hopefully will soon. Highly recommend!

Please see my attached photos for the menu in February 2025. My husband and I ate one dinner here. The employees provided very good service overall, but one employee did bring us incorrect foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Seethaphal Milkshake - 4.5 stars - This drink contained chunks of a tropical apple fruit and tasted slightly sweet. Samosa Chaat - 4 istars - Chunks of samosa and chickpeas tasted moderately spicy. Tandoori Pompret - 5 stars - This fish was a large size, and it was cooked perfectly. Its white meat was moist and tender. Palak Paneer - 3 stars - My husband ate this entree, which is one of his go-to's at other Indian restaurants. He said that he was not a fan of the flavors. Garlic naan - 5 stars - This naan was baked nicely and tasted very good. Gulab Jamoon - 5 stars - Fried dough balls were soaked in sugary syrup. This dessert tasted deliciously sweet as expected.

I wouldn't say anything in particular was the best ever, but everything was really good, which in itself is just awesome. The paneer tikka was good. Nice a flavorful. The paneer lababdar was really good. Asparagus kofta was probably the even better, and then the dal makhani was also good.
