I've been to this place a few times now. I think it is becoming a place that I can just order and trust. Seems like everything I get is fantastic. Typically I get the lamb korma, tonight I got the lamb saag. Absolutely stellar. The waitress was so kind and explained it is spinach based (of all things!). I would say the ambiance could improve. They always got stuff in the back, sitting, cluttered. But the main dining area is kept nicely. It is worth a look for anyone wanting a nice Indian food experience! read more

The Kababi Mixed Grill is baked in a crock and consists of chicken, lamb, shrimp, onions and spice. I ordered it mild plus which is not very hot yet flavorful. It comes with rice and was very good. Two large drumsticks by themselves are a meal. The garlic naan was warm with plenty of garlic and brushed with butter. The service was good and the atmosphere nice. The BEST korma in Canton is here at Kabab & Curry. It's rich, flavorful, and buttery. Definitely recommend getting it with lamb but the vegetable and chicken are also good. I also love their garlic na'an, they don't skimp on the garlic! Their service is always prompt and friendly as well. The bathroom was dirty. And the atmosphere is not good - it would've been better to take it to go and make a picnic of it. The food temperatures were weird - the lamb curry was barely warm, while the samosa was even hotter than it would've been even fresh out of the fryer... I suspect they microwaved the food, which you never really want them to do when you go out to eat... They use styrofoam to-go containers. We had takeout from here while visiting my daughter and her fiancé. They order from here when they feel like Indian food. Coming from San Diego where we have an abundance of Indian restaurants, Indian grocery stores, and Indian friends... I've had my fair share of Indian cuisine. I liked the chicken tikka kabob. It was flavorful and consisted of nice pieces of chicken breast. The samosas were also tasty and filling. I think my favorite was the aloo gobi. Aloo is potatoes and gobi is cauliflower. This dish was full of flavor and who doesn't like potatoes. The channa Masala was also delicious. My only complaint is that we asked for medium spice level and all the dishes were very mild. This is probably one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in the northeast Ohio region. The ambience is subpar, but the food and service makes up for it. The staff was super friendly and the food comes out pretty quick!! The food was phenomenal. I got the paneer tikka masala (comes with a side of rice) and garlic naan. The tikka masala gravy was super thick and creamy. I wish there fewer paneer pieces and more gravy. The garlic naan was the best I've had thus far. It was warm and crunchy. Overall, great experience. I stopped by for lunch the other day and ordered tomato soup and appetizer Tava Tikki and main course Chicken Vindaloo. I was so impressed with everything I went back 2 days later for more. I found it closed at 2pm and reopened at 5pm. The staff was still there and invited me in and filled my lunch order to go. It was also awesome. Nice friendly staff. They were open on Christmas Day! Yay! My mom was cooking us a big Christmas dinner, however, we were starving. When I asked her how long until it would be ready, she said "3 hours," so we decided to look for a place that would be open on Christmas Day - and that typically means you have to go for Chinese or Indian food. We made the right choice! I have been here a few times. One time I took my best friend (who lives in NYC and was visiting me in Ohio) to their buffet dinner. It was excellent and we stuffed ourselves silly! She has been to plenty of Indian and Kashmiri restaurants in NYC (I have gone to a few of them with her) and Kabab & Curry is just as excellent as any you would find in The Big Apple! I've also been here for the lunch buffet and it never disappoints! On Christmas Day, however, I ordered takeaway and did not take advantage of the delicious and varied items available on their buffet. The wait was not long, the staff was friendly, and when I got home with the food, everyone dug in and found it superb! We ordered the Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala (mild), Chicken Tikka Masala (medium), a few orders of Naan, a few orders of Aloo Paratha, and the Paneer Finger Laajwaab appetizer. We automatically received a HUGE order of Basmati Rice and two small sauces. For the vegetarians and vegans out there, they have plenty of selections! Much to the chagrin of a person who called in a takeaway order while I was waiting, they do not serve beef. I thought it was hilarious that they asked for beef at an Indian restaurant, but the woman who answered the phone was very polite and did not laugh (as I may have done). My wife and I stopped in here for lunch while in town on some business. We picked this place at random based on the 4.5 starts rating, and would like to try and bump them up to a 5! The ambiance of the restaurant was not great, but the food was fantastic! I had the lunch special which consisted of a large tray with three small entrée portions, an appetizer, nana, rice, a drink (mango lassi), and a desert (rice pudding....yum). All that for $12 is a great value. My wife had a couple of appetizers and a cup of soup, and was also very happy with her meal. The service was efficient, and we were in and out in about 30 minutes. All in all, this was a very good experience, and we will visit again when in the Canton area. read more

Chili paneer is simply fab. They make a mean garlic naan and their chai sweetened with sugar is an absolute delight.

So, what can I say, Ohio is not noted as a foodie destination. Meat and taters or pretty much everything deep fried to a crisp. Kabab & Curry is a bright star and welcome change from the norm, some of the best tasting Indian dishes I've had in years. Access for a wheelchair is a bit tight, but it is doable. The establishment is clean, the server was pleasant, everything arrived promptly, was extremely tasty and the portions generous. We did not get a chance to sample the desserts, but will on another visit. We will return, at this point it is the best Indian cuisine we have found in the state of Ohio. read more

Insanely spicy food if you ask for it.. I really loved the food despite my premonitions not to try a unknown Indian place in a little town. Tandoori shrimp is juicy unlike many rubbery Indian restaurants. Lamb chops were tough..but tasted good. Bullet nan and garlic nan were fresh and great. I would prefer the garlic ones next time. We went there for dinner (an hour before closing) and tried crispy cauliflower (was good and still crunchy!). We ordered chicken on 3 different sauce/s to try the different flavors - Makahani (butter) chicken, Tika Masala's chicken and Karahi's chicken - all on medium to medium plus spicy level ... Yep 2 nights in a row. I order take out. Two nights in a row. I'm stuffed and happy. The Chile and cilantro. The chicken and cheese stuffed naan was fantastic. The chicken saang (the spinach and spices sauce) and tiki masala were banging and flavorful. I had medium spice and it was perfect spice. The dishes in take out is not skimpy. It is a meal. I'm very happy to find an Indian restaurant that gives you value for the buck ...also and uses good lean meats. I usually don't eat much rice. Just enough but it was soooooo much tasty sauce. I pigged out and ate the whole take out. (I will be hurting tomorrow but I will be smiling on the John for it was freaking good.) I seriously hope they keep the quality at this high peak.
