This place is AMAZING! Located in a strip mall so parking is pretty easy. Thai is my go to place in the area for Indian food. We don't live in the area which is sad because I crave Cafe India. I have not found a single place that comes close to the taste of the food here. The portion sizes are massive and easy shareable dishes. Everything I've ever had here has been amazing but if I had to pick one thing to try it would be the goat biryani! read more

My daughter and I had a lovely lunch at Cafe India the other day. I am cautious these days, and the Cafe's efforts to reduce risks was clearly evident. Tables were spaced and our server was masked. Everything sparkled it was so clean. Lunch was fantastic! We started with the Aloo Tikki Chaat which was very yummy. I never can decide what to order, so because dining Stan Indian restaurant is always a special treat I ordered two entrees. Hey - leftovers are delicious! My order was the Chicken Rogan Josh to try something new and Chicken Korma to get one of my favorite Indian dishes. My daughter got her favorite - Chicken Tikka Masala, and we sampled each other's treats. All were delicious and perfectly spiced. Dessert (you bet we ordered dessert) was Pistachio Kulfi. Yes, we were stuffed and had enough for a second lunch the next day. There was only one server, but I didn't mind. That's fewer people and more distancing and the restaurant is a smallish space. But be sure to take that into consideration when dining in as you might have a bit longer wait. But even so, things were pretty quick. I would love to return when their buffet is reopened. We arrived at 11:30 a.m on this Saturday and the setup on the buffet was being completed. The restaurant is clean and the staff is polite. There were plenty of options. I ordered a plate of momos, but they were served undercooked. I thought it happens, not a big deal, and politely asked if they could steam them for a few more minutes. I tore a small part of the momo wrapper to show them it was not chewable. However, they returned after a couple of minutes and insisted that "momos are supposed to be that way." They offered me the option to order something else if I didn't like it, but I didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for a replacement order. Parking isn't that great and the decor is totally outdated. Outside of that, there's not much to gripe about. The staff is friendly, the service is pretty reasonable as far as the wait time goes and the food is good. The garlic naan is exceptionally tasty as is the rest of their naan however, I'd suggest dining in if you're going to eat it as it tends to get a bit soggy if you get it to go. This is a very good place. We ordered yellow dal, shahi paneer and Chicken haka noodles. Every Indian dish tastes on the spot from a panjabi. This is what it should taste like back in north India. I wish I ordered vegetable haka noodles instead of chicken noodles though. The chicken is grilled, sliced and stir fried in the noodles. I felt it doesn't belong to the noodles. Haka noodles is some form of fusion that has its own soul now, but as a person who is still having a Chinese tongue, would prefer to have meat stir fried, not grilled in the "magic" wok. read more

I've ordered from here before for delivery and really loved the food, but today I actually went into the location for the first time and was blown away. The already-great food was incredible when fresh (especially the naan and the tamarind sauce that came with our samosa appetizer). The service was top-notch; super friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and quick. Very comfortable decor with great music. We were told they're going to be branching out into more cocktails soon, including ones inspired by Indian food, and I'm looking forward to going back! read more

We went here for the first time today and it was definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. All of the food is delicious and fragrant. The art and decor inside is colorful and comforting, they play really nice calming music, and the staff is very inviting and friendly. It's definitely worth a lot more than we paid. We came to this location about 5 years ago and were not impressed. Recently, a neighbor suggested we go back, as they changed ownership about 2 years ago. Thank God we did...it was much improved! Great value on the pricing, friendly staff. The food in the lunch buffet was very impressive. Hot, flavorful and delicious. The Naan bread was wonderful. Best yet was that we were introduced to a few new dishes, which is unusual for us. If you've never had Indian food, this is a great place to get an introduction as the food here is lightly spiced. There is a shaker of Cayenne pepper on the table, to kick it up, which is probably good for appealing to a wider customer group. We are die-hard Indian restaurant foodies, and stop at all Indian restaurants we've encountered throughout the U.S., and this was a shinning star! Nifty little, peaceful place. Relaxing. We both ordered the very generous house salad. My chickpal ordered the stuffed mild peppers loaded with cilantro. I loved them. She, not a cilantro fan. And, she also ordered the little veggie filled, like Indian perogies. Really good, lots of ginger. Two sauces to dip. One sweet one, she liked. Myself, not so much but DID like the hot/spicy one. YUM! I ordered a lamb dish called Saag Gosht, that was OUTSTANDING, 2 bites, SO GOOD! couldn't eat anymore - was full. The offerings were typical Indian buffet- tikka, dal, saag, several vegetable dishes, another type of chicken, and the usual sides like naan, Raita, chutney, green salad, dessert, etc. I found the food to be hot, fresh, and well seasoned. So many Indian restaurants adapt to American tastes and aren't highly seasoned. The food here was very flavorful and you could taste fresh spices.
