    Tiger's Blood with condensed

I ordered a tiger's blood shaved ice at 3:44 pm. The service was terrible. I was skipped over after I had already waited for several minutes. I asked at least once how long it would take before I would receive my order. At 4:02, I was told it would be 12 additional minutes. They proceeded to deliver someone's ordered after me. I addressed this to the cashier and did not receive an apology. I requested that they do not skip over me again and then I received my order at 4:25. Additionally, the shaved ice had a lack of flavor. It was as if they only added flavor to the very top of the ice. I threw it away before I could finish it. I cannot believe I waited 41 minutes for this order. This was simply unacceptable. Do NOT waste your time at this place.

    Shark attack

The best Hawaiian shaved ice. So smooth it's like ice cream. The service was helpful with choices and descriptions. Syrups are homemade and there were plenty of seats with shade.

Nutmeg after enjoying her dog treats.

Nice guy! Super hibiscus tea with cinnamon syrup! Hubs had espresso and we shared a yummy muffin. Fun seating even on a cool and breezy day. Nutmeg got to enjoy some very nice treats as well. All in all a great experience.

Ka Meli Shaved Ice. The best shaved ice ever.

I ordered eight pieces for our table and they were crispy and delicious! A generous size of meat filled egg rolls served piping hot and perfect to start you off...so, so good! Next, I ordered the Filipino Pork BBQ Skewers a la carte and they were nicely marinated and grilled to perfection! Huge chunks of pork with a wonderful meat-to-fat ratio so you do not want to miss ordering this meat on a stick. Lastly, I tried the Filipino Pork Adobo with Steamed Rice and it was fantastic! I'm pretty picky with my Filipino food as I come from a family of amazing Filipino cooks. This Pork Adobo did not disappoint as it was balanced with sweet and savory and they give you plenty of extra sauce to soak up with the rice. Different from what I'm used to, but delicious nonetheless. For my dessert, I opted for smoothies from the Big Island Bowls Food Truck. I shared the Classic Acai Smoothie made with organic acai, bananas, and strawberries blended with organic almond milk & the Coconut Dream Smoothie made with organic acai, bananas, and organic shredded coconut blended with organic almond milk. Refreshing and not too sweet! Perfect ending after a rich and savory meal. I want to try the acai bowls next time... Overall, the food truck vendors at this location are hard working and local. I love the variety and the convenience of having this food truck park so close to the beach. There are restrooms for customers and plenty of covered seating for those really sunny Florida days. Amazing experience and fantastic food options. I definitely recommend supporting local and trying out the food trucks that are set up in The Village Garden. Excellent! :)

Who doesn't love a tasty steal? For just $15, I scored three glorious tacos--each packed with its own personality--and got a free drink to wash it all down. Whether you're a carnitas connoisseur or dancing with spicy chorizo, these tacos deliver with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. But wait--just when I thought things couldn't get better, I requested a shrimp-stuffed burrito that came bursting with goodies. Think warm, grilled shrimp snuggled with savory bites that whispered "beachside bliss" in every mouthful. This isn't just a food stop--it's a vibe. Picture plenty of cozy seating, perfect for a laid-back lunch date or a sunset taco rendezvous. Whether you're jetting off on a road trip or just need a soulful snack, this place works like a charm. I'm supposed to be watching my rice intake but I figured I eat half of it now and the rest the following day. And it's jasmine rice too which is one of my favorite grains. The guys in the truck were very fast and efficient in preparing my food and cashing me out. I went with the Datil Sauce Poke Bowl because I don't ever remember having datil pepper sauce on anything. One of the guys explained it of having a sweet taste at first before the spice kicks in. Sounds like fun. I got back to the office and dived in. Each ingredient complimented each other so well and the tuna tasted fresh from the sea. I really enjoyed the bowl and will be back for more.

The food itself was tasty, the spicy had a zing but wasn't too hot. Some might say this was a bad quality, but I enjoyed not having to chug water just to get through my lunch. It also came chock full of veggies, and I definitely enjoyed coming away feeling energized rather than sluggish. But that's about where the good stops. Folks, these bowls are pretty small, and will run you around $12 for lunch. There are some expensive good trucks, for sure, but when you're playing in a market where customers are looking for fast, working-lunch options, no one wants to pay sit-down prices. Second, the bowl was overflowing, which should be nice but instead made a mess. I hate having to transfer food to another container. It causes more waste, and renders "to-go" containers pointless. Especially when, here's the kicker, I asked for the sauce on the side, and they put it IN my lid! So not only am I carrying this open container through my office building, but I have a container lid full of sauce that I'm juggling as well. Overall, it would have been more of a comical experience if it weren't for the prices...

The rice platter was great - Spanish rice, jerk chicken, chips, fresh guacamole, avocados and fried plaintains. Quite filling. Overall, I loved the food and their simple menu. The flavors were nice and everything was prepared well. However, and this may be just my opinion but, if you're going to call your food truck "The Fried Egg" perhaps eggs should be a part of the make up of most of you menu items. Given the current menu options I think a better name for this truck would be "The Fried Egg is a $1 add-on option." I mentioned to the young lady taking my order that it surprised me that, given the name of the truck, I would have to pay an up charge for an egg. She relayed my sentiments to the cook, who may have been the manager or owner. Nevertheless, I ordered the Classic Smash Burger and did ask for the fried egg add-on. The food was prepared really quickly and the burger looked perfect. However, the young lady informed me that unfortunately they only had 4 eggs left and that they all fell and broke on the floor before my burger was ready. So she handed me a $1 bill as a refund. Obviously disappointed (and skeptical of the story) I accepted the refund and went on my way. The short of it is that while I was eggstremly disappointed by the lack of eggs, the burger was quite good and the fries were wonderful.
