I'm so glad I decided to invest in dog training and I'm even more glad I decided to go with K9 Logic. Worth every penny. My boyfriend and I adopted a 3 year old Husky/Jindo mix (Sawyer) and there were some behavior problems we needed to address such as dumpster diving, running away, and really bad separation anxiety. Sawyer is incredibly smart and knows what is right and wrong. He will be very obedient when we are around, but a little rebel when we leave. There's been a couple times I've come home crying because Sawyer destroyed our place when we left him alone. Imagine pee, poo, trash, food...everywhere. The first time I emailed Chris inquiring about his services, he gave me a call immediately and we talked on the phone for more than 30 minutes. During the phone call I knew Chris is incredibly knowledgable and is passionate about what he's doing. He wasn't trying to upsell me on any packages and recommended I start small and go from there. We bought a 10 pack training session (5 private + 5 group) and only have a few more classes left and Sawyer is a completely different dog. During the training sessions I felt like I was the one getting trained. Chris breaks down everything he's doing and explains how I should call my dog, where to hold the treat, when to feed the treat etc. He keeps his training simple by teaching just a few commands "yes", "no", "place", "heel" which makes it easy for me (and Sawyer) to follow and understand. I recommend getting the mix of private and group classes because I was able to apply what I learned during my private sessions in a group setting with lots of distraction. This helped us gauge what we needed to continue working on. While training Sawyer will be ongoing process, through the techniques I've learned from Chris, Sawyer has gained more trust and respect for me which has improve his behavior issues. I really can't thank K9 logic enough. read more

Simply a miracle. We adopted Henry ( on the right ) 4 months ago , and he had some major issues. He was a completely different dog outside of the house compared to when he is inside. Literally every creature that walks this earth ( besides humans ) would piss him off. He would bark and lunge at them non stop, and absolutely nothing would distract his attention. Walking him became a nightmare , he terrorized our neighbors dog ( don't be fooled by the cute face ) and birds were no longer welcome at our balcony. Driving a car was nearly impossible , just imagine non stop bark for no matter how long the drive took , running from window to window relentlessly. After 2.5 months , cutting his walks out shorter just because he it became too damn stressful , we stumbled upon k9. Previously we tried training him ourself , but the major issue ( getting his attention outside ) was impossible for us , and no training was done at all. We sent him for a 2 week board and train with k9 , Juan was in charge of training Henry. It has been 4 weeks since , and it has been nothing short of MAGIC! So far , we were able to go and eat at 3 restaurants without having him ruin the entire meal when a dog comes by. We took him to the Runyon canyon hike TWICE ( and the people that have been there know that there is a dog encounter literally EVERY 2 SECONDS ). Henry unfortunately is just not friendly with other dogs , and we don't expect him to be. But thank god we found k9 that completely made his issues manageable. So to everyone at K9 , THANK YOU! read more

Love K9 Logic, they have made our lives so much richer by teaching us and our pup obedience basics and we love them so much we are continuing with monthly group classes. We signed up for 8 weeks of private lessons with Diana, she was so lovely and our pup absolutely adores her. She worked hard with him and gave us regular homework to continue bettering our pup. As first time pup parents we were super worried and anxious about training but K9 Logic and Diana changed it all for is and now we enjoy our pup so much more! Can't thank them enough. read more

We brought our German Shepherd Husky rescue for help with basic obedience and separation anxiety and could not be happier with her results so far!! Dom has been able to transform our dog's behavior and give us much needed guidance for such a high energy, anxious, quirky breed. We'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. Having a dog who can now walk beautifully on a leash, control her reactive barking, and listen to our commands is priceless. read more

10/10!!! After exhausting every youtube video and trying every effort on our own to help our reactive dog, we took him to K9 logic. We booked 8 private sessions with Diana, and after just two sessions, he was already showing so much improvement! He used to bark at everything that moved, pull on the leash to the point of choking himself, and walks were stressful. Now, we can take him on hikes, to parks, even to busy places like the Americana and he looks to US for guidance. His leash barking has stopped completely, and walks are something we can look forward to! He is a 10mo old chi mix. I recommend this place to anyone looking for immediate change to their dogs behavior. Don't let the price of dog training push you away..the value of what you get is 100% worth it. Diana was amazing to work with. She is so sweet and professional. We are taking our older dog there next! The best part of this experience is that not only do we have a more obedient dog, but our dog is happier with structure and less anxious outside the home. His well being is important to us, and I feel confident that taking him to k9 logic was the best thing we could have done for him! read more

Tatoe is our first dog and we didn't know anything about dogs when we got him. A lot of people would say "be careful, he's a chow. They're known for being aggressive and stubborn." We were so scared to have an aggressive dog so we decided to look for training and came upon k9 logic. This has been the best investment we have ever made. Thanks to Diana we have the most obedient and sweetest dog ever. We appreciate you endlessly Diana. Thank you for being patient with us and for teaching us so much about balanced training . In 12 weeks Tatoe has learned his sit, down, stays, heeling on/off leash, confidence, and more. We can now go shopping with him and most importantly we understand his body language so we can advocate for him read more

We really wanted to give this place a try because of the reviews, so we set up an appointment for an evaluation and paid the fee. Our dog barks and has reactivity issues. Unfortunately, upon arriving at our appointment, the first thing Chris asks is "Is your dog gonna bark the whole time?" I thought, "well, yeah, that's why we came to you for help", but I brushed it off and walked out with our dog to the lobby. That was the first red flag for me. Not three minutes later, he comes out and says they can't take calls with my dog barking, so he escorts us outside. Meanwhile, my girlfriend is still in the evaluation room. I go outside with our dog and ask him if he wants us to just hang out there for a bit, thinking he was gonna call us back in so he can evaluate our dog more closely. He says, "Just walk around here or something." Well, we ended up waiting out there for the whole hour while he did his whole sales spiel with my girlfriend. What we though was an evaluation turned into a sales pitch. I am absolutely disgusted and would never give Chris my business. If I could give this place a negative star, I would. read more

K9 Logic knows exactly how to speak your dog's language and do an excellent job teaching owners how to communicate and build a relationship with their dog. I have a rescue pittie mix who was extremely reactive and would choke herself from pulling on her leash. It was embarrassing and near impossible to walk her. We came to K9 logic and in ONE SESSION - A single, one hour session - she learned how to heel. After 5 private classes & 5 group classes, my dog can now do pack walks and hikes. Chris has incredible patience and so much knowledge on how to break down the training for both the dog and the human. The level of detail he puts into the small (but very important) things like rewarding the dog at the right position and timing, the slight pressure on the leash, and the clear language spoken to the dog WILL set you up for success. With K9 Logic's help and our consistent training, my dog can now walk in a heel and we have the tools to help us keep her reactivity at bay. The K9 Logic community of current and past students is a testament to their success. We are constantly learning from and encouraging each other through the hard but so, so rewarding training. I honestly can't say enough good things about them. read more

We love K9 Logic! Our 1.5 year old pittie/boxer mix has struggled with impulse control (jumping) and leash reactivity since we adopted her. We've tried various different training programs/methods and K9 is by far the best! We did the 8-class pack and it was just what she needed. Chris and Dom were both so helpful with answering all our questions and gave us amazing tools. Their balanced approach to training was perfect for our pup. She is so much more in control of here emotions (and she has a lot of them) and is really listening to us. We can now go on walks in our neighborhood with her loose-leash walking right by our side and she hardly ever reacts at all when she passes other dogs. She's even working toward off-leash training! Thank you so much K9 Logic!! read more

Our trainer, Dom, was so patient with not only our pup but also with us! We signed up for 8 sessions and in such a short time, he's really helped us learn how to use our tools properly and effectively. Prior to K9 logic, Nala would walk to a taut leash and would have difficulty with obedience when there's distractions around. Now, she is walking so well on AND off leash and her obedience has significantly improved! In addition, Dom taught us how to control her jumping on visitors, how to leave things when asked to (i.e. tennis balls which are her weakness), place and recall when off-leash! Most importantly, Nala loved Dom and was excited to see him every session (beyond excited, actually). He was always so caring and understanding of her needs and ours, and never hesitated to show Nala some love! Thanks so much Dom! We're so grateful for you and all of your hard work! We highly recommend Dom for other dog parents...you won't regret it!!! read more

I absolutely love k9 logic! Our 8 year old corgi had issues with excessive barking, marking, leash pulling, and walking issues that I was afraid to walk him and when I did, the walks would be anxiety ridden for me and not long enough for him. We sent Yogi to the 2 week board and train and came back to a brand new pup! Thanks to K9 logic Yogi now is a dream to walk. My favorite thing to see him do is "heel" as another dog passes by him because he's so calm and attentive to ME rather than the passing dog. It makes me more confident to walk him longer and more confident to take him to dog parks. We are also currently sending our puppy to the 6 week puppy class! Maxine is learning so many crucial behavioral skills as I'm only 5'2 and she's going to be an enormous dog. I'm glad we are sending her to k9 now so that she will be well behaved when she grows up. Moreover, our extremely shy pup has gained so much confidence in this class from all the socialization and play time she's gotten- a must for those who have new pups in apartments and can't get enough exercise at home. I'm so glad we sent our pups to K9. Looking forward to group classes and hikes. read more

After having our first training session with Chris, we felt confident that we found the right trainer for our newly adopted puppy. We're starting with basics since we adopted an untrained puppy and really appreciated Chris's patience and attention to Poppy. Our first lesson consisted of leash training and we were amazed that he was able to fix her walking in a matter of minutes. Poppy was so responsive and engaged with him right off the bat. Chris not only has a special way with dogs, but also with how he explains dog behavior and training to owners. He was able to break training down to my boyfriend and I in a really logical and easy-to-understand way. We're really looking forward to our future training sessions with Chris and we're confident that Poppy is receiving the best training she possibly can. read more

Just want to start off by saying we love K9Logic. Brought our Alaskan malamute here when she was 11months and took on the 8week personal training. Due to COVID, we weren't able to properly socialize her or begin training when she was ready. Things that we wanted to work on was separation anxiety, pulling on walks, reactivity, and off leash. Our pup is a ball of anxiety so we had our work set out for us. K9Logic implements balance training with the use of tools like the prong and ecollar that has allowed us to communicate with our dog and allow her to be a dog. With the amazing guidance of our trainer Lynn, our pup has come such a long way in a short amount of time. Our pup now walks besides us and even waits for us to catch up if she's on a free walk. During walks, she's not as anxious anymore with her environment, thinking everything is out to get her. We're tackling separation anxiety where she would break out, injure herself, and scream mercy to now being able to stay in her crate for extended periods of time without freaking out. She's learning to socialize better with other dogs without being feisty and slowly getting over her reactivity, especially with small dogs(she's been attacked a few times). Even with training being over, we still attend K9Logic through day camp. Here she gets to spend the day getting in exercise and socializing with other pups with the trainers there. We highly recommend day camp!! With all the progress that's been made in just 8weeks of training, we can't recommend K9Logic enough with their amazing care and passion towards dogs. read more

I have a 13 year old Westie that started to develop behavioral issues around 8 years old. She started to lunge at dogs during walks, sometimes try to snap at dogs too. It was so frustrating not knowing what to expect from her at times and after years of this behavior, I decided she needed some training. I was hesitant to start training at 13 years old because you hear people say "you can't teach an old dog new tricks." But I went for it anyway and thought it was worth trying than never trying at all. We met with Chris for our first private training session about 2 weeks ago. Chris brought his beautiful dog to the training class and my dog tried to lunge at her initially. By the end of our class, she was walking and training by her side with no issues. My dog hates big dogs as she's very intimidated by them and it's always stressful to be in a room with a large dog. I applied the training techniques Chris taught me over the last 2 weeks. We went on hikes, parks and walks and she's made such a transformation! For the first time ever, she didn't lunge at other dogs on our hike/walk and just kept her focus on me when we walked past them!! What I like most about Chris's training technique is that it's about connecting with your dog and communicating with them through verbal commands & just common sense. We didn't even use treats! We have quite a few more private & group classes, so I'm looking forward to seeing her full transformation in the end! read more

We can't recommend K9 enough and regret not working with them sooner on our 1 yr old keeshond, Huck. We did the 8-week private training with Chris and our relationship with Huck has changed completely. Prior to training here, we couldn't take Huck on walks without him shrieking, pulling and lunging when he saw other dogs, even when we had his favorite treats and him being on Prozac. Most walks ended with high anxiety for both dog and owner and if K9 wasn't a solution, we were going to have to rehome him. Thankfully, Chris immediately realized Huck just needed proper training and that he is highly receptive to and enjoys training. The slip knot was the main tool we used and we focused a lot of our attention on polishing the heel and place commands, which taught Huck to increase his focus on us during walks and pay less attention to other dogs. We took one session to the dog park to test out Huck's training with Chris observing Huck in the wild. It's amazing how two simple routines completely changed our dog. Towards the end of class, we introduced the ecollar to transition to off leash (which is a bonus that we never even fathomed for Huck). We're grateful to K9, Chris and the whole team and will be staying in touch for future training. read more

I want to just start out and say, I'm so glad we took our dog and joined a family of dogs/dog owners. My wife and I learned so much about our dog and how to properly communicate with her. Chris was able to explain the style of training in the evaluation and introduced our trainer Diana who taught us invaluable lessons. We have always dreamed of having a dog off-leash safely and wanted our dog to explore and enjoy life as a real dog. When we first heard about the e collar is the only option for teaching the dog, we were both hesitant and wondered if we were doing the right thing by "shocking" our dog for misbehaving. So, I told Chris we would sleep on it and come with a decision for that training. I googled/youtubed all sorts of videos on e- collars and with the proper education on the tool. The e-collar training is optional and Chris didn't force it upon us. We went in with an open mind tested the e collar on ourselves and assured it was 100% safe with proper training. It's a tool that can be used improperly but when used properly is highly effective in communicating with dogs. Whenever Shadow sees the e-collar now her eyes light up and tail wags, because she associates it with adventure time with the freedom to be free. Sorry I just have so many good things to say about our experience so if it's too long here's a TLDR: 1. Chris and Diana made learning and training our dog fun. 2. Wish we did this sooner with our dog. 3. Worth every penny and hope more dogs and owners get training from k9logic! 4. Just do it! We have trained our dog through private lessons, group sessions prior to K9 logic with our dog shadow. She is a super mutt rescue dog(Perro de Presa Canario, staffy pit bull, rottweiler, and mastiff) which is a mixture of all the breeds that are known to be super stubborn and big guardian dogs. After spending hundreds of dollars, she knew only basic commands like sit or down with some accountability. Our dog would struggle to do the commands if there was no motivating treat in front of her. She was missing the discipline that k9logic instilled in her. We started out with the 5-week private lessons and decided halfway thru we needed 8 weeks for shadow because she needed more work. Every week shadow learned something new, but her confidence didn't really show up till our last two weeks of training. Some dogs just need more TLC. Diana(our trainer) made everything easy to understand and teach Shadow. Every session, she made all the necessary proofing to tighten up our training. Not only did she give us clear instructions, she always explained the reasoning behind the training and why our dog was behaving a certain way. She even spent hours outside our allotted private session to answer any questions through text messages. After the 8 weeks, Shadow Happy-Tail Chen now knows how to heel, sit, down, place, climb, structured loose lead walking, and even recall from long distances. Her prey drive has calmed down a lot and is able to focus on us if it does kick in. She is 0-2 with skunks and has lost that battle every time. We have confidence she will be able to recall away from a skunk the next encounter now. We can answer the door even with the doorbell ringing without shadow bolting to the door barking with a simple "place" command. She just calmly lies on her cott while we attend to the solicitor. Shout out to Dianna our most humble down-to-earth trainer/teacher/mentor! I don't think we could have gotten a better trainer! We are looking at trying to prepare for the k9 good citizen exam for Shadow because we think she could make a good therapy dog. Also waiting for spots to open for the daycare to help shadow socialize with other dogs. Highly recommend any dog owner who cares about their dog's quality of life! Shadow has lost weight from all the training and gained immense confidence. read more

This review is for puppy social only- Our pup went to weekly puppy social starting at 8 weeks old til 5 months old. SO THANKFUL we found K9 Logic. Our pup is a social butterfly now! She gets along well with all dogs (big, small, shy, feisty, etc) and doesn't get scared at all. We knew how crucial socialization is starting at a young age, which is why we took her at age 8 weeks. She was so scared her first time... but by the 2nd, she was already playing w multiple pups. THANK YOU K9 LOGIC! read more

Working with Chris and his team was nothing short of a great experience and one of best decisions. Adopting Quinn back in May 2020, I knew what I was getting myself into: a lovable dog, that had alot to learn still on obedience and controlling his reactivity with other dogs. I took the chance with him and knew I had to do everything I could for him. I worked with Chris and Quinn for about 2 months...at the end, we reinforced his obedience, not pulling on walks, control his reactivity. I say we, as alot of the teaching really went to me which I had to incorporate with Quinn with non stop repetition and commitment. 11 months after adopting him and 4 months after my last session with K9 logic, I can proudly say that Quinn is off leash, making dog friends, my bike riding buddy, and really enjoying his best life (spoiled indeed). This is the best dog training facility/ team that exists. My family has been training their dogs with K9 since 2020 and I recently brought my 3 year old rescue for training and am so impressed with everything and everyone. My dog and I learn so much from our trainer during every session and I can't get enough. I continue to add training sessions just to stimulate my dog once a week. Their facility is beautiful and always so clean and very safe. I highly recommend k9 for any dog, any breed at any age! They truly know their stuff!! Paco loves you all!! read more

I called and left a message and it's been 6 days and no response. Very unprofessional to do.

I have a 90 lb German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and I've always had trouble walking him because he pulls so much. In our first session, within 10 minutes training of with Chris (K9 logic owner) my dog was able to walk by my side with no pulling! Chris gives you the right feedback and tools you need to help your dog succeed with any issues you may have. Chris was able to teach some obedience to my dog as well. My dog didn't have too many issues, but did need a lot of guidance. He's such a big dog, and we wanted to be able to take him out without the hassle of trying to contain such a large dog. Now we're able to go on walks around the neighborhood with no problem! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about these guys. My boyfriend and I brought our pitbull mix to K9 logic after moving to the city from a small town. Our dog had already been to a board and train where he received very good training, but was having a hard time adjusting to city life and was becoming reactive on leash. It got to the point where I was no longer enjoying walking my dog because he had to constantly be corrected which was stressful for both me and the dog. After reading all the reviews here we decided to call K9 Logic to see if they could help and set up an evaluation. We got paired with Dom who was the most amazing trainer to work with. He taught us how to really engage our dogs working drive to make our dog more focused on us and walks fun for our dog. I saw an immediate difference after our first training session and the progress we have made with our dog has continued even after the sessions concluded. The biggest change that I noticed is that because my dog is enjoying walks more and isn't stressed he's become a lot more friendly and social. I also love that K9 Logic has group classes for dogs that complete their private sessions. We look forward to bringing our dog to the group sessions and continuing to enforce the process we've made. read more

If you ever want your trainer to see your dog again after the first time, DO NOT COME HERE. They NEVER have time for your dog, and simply just say sorry we don't have openings. After spending the money you do to become a customer, you would think they would value you coming back. But no, they only value trying to get you in the door the first time, then from there they will not help you at all. It's important to have consistency with training your dog, and this is not the place for that. read more

This facility was great!! I have nothing but praise for how they have helped and cared for our dog, even during the pandemic!!! Chris and Kelly have a no nonsense mantra of training. We rescued a lab/hound/doberman mix about a year ago, we were having trouble with her high prey drive, separation anxiety and really bad leash pulling. Every cent of board and train is worth it!!!! She is a different dog now!!! She is much happier, less anxious and has a wagging tail on her walks. She was very afraid of wheels, you name it (bikes and especially skate boards). They took the time and effort to bring these items in and exposed her in order to desensitize her anxiety. She is still a little squirrely about skate boards, but can be distracted or redirected much easier now. We were taught how to use an E-Collar correctly, which I have tried it on myself!! It is a great tool to use when it's hard to get her attention when her hunting drive kicks in. By no means does the training end once its over, but they set you and your dog up for success by giving you great tools and are available as resources towards the continued growth in your pet's behavior. We are excited to go the next step and have her participate in their day camp in order to work on her socialization skills!!! We are forever greatful!!! read more

I highly recommend K9 Logic. I have worked with several dog trainers previously, but have seen the most significant and fastest results by far with K9 Logic. We have worked with Chris with 2 dogs - a 3 yr old German Shepherd rescue and a 7 month old Pitbull puppy. Amazing results both times for completely different sets of issues. I was at my whits end with the German Shepherd's leash aggression issues and enrolled her in the board and train program. She came back a different dog that was not only trained and easy to work with, but she has been a much happier dog and a great family dog since. More recently, we started working with Chris for general obedience with our Pitbull puppy, and we saw a dramatic difference after the first lesson. He was incredibly patient with questions and really taught me how to understand and work with my puppy. I couldn't ask for better results! read more

Chris and the K9 Logic team are the real deal. Their approach and philosophy to dog training is unlike what we've experienced with other trainers (we took Yoshi to two before training with Chris). And we saw huge results after the first private! More than we had seen with 12 weeks with another trainer. I think one of the parts of their training that is so unique and effective is the group training classes. That's where you really get to put the training to the test! It also helps you really secure your bond with your dog and become more confident handling and training them. If you're in the Los Angeles area and looking for a trainer, GO WITH K9 LOGIC. I don't even know where to begin. This training facility was recommended by a friend and we are forever grateful. We have a Shiba Inu puppy who is the sassiest princess with a strong personality and mindset. She thinks she runs the house (which she does but we can't let her know that). We knew we were up for a big challenge and putting her into training at the early age of 4 months was the best thing for her, and for us. We wanted to establish a strong foundation on obedience, socialization, and mental stimulation. We trained with Kelly and received tips from head trainer Chris as well. We researched and did our homework and decided balanced training with slip lead and e-collar would work best for us. Yes, not every dog need this type of training but we knew our pup will definitely benefit from it. Since we started her when she was young, she understood right away the importance of leash pressure and e-collar stim and how to turn it off. Within 2 lessons, she went from criss-crossing, lunging, sniffing and picking up every stick or pine cone during walks to heeling by our side. By 6 months old, we were able to take her hiking in Mammoth off leash with the perfect recall. Chris drilled us to keep hand feeding her to improve engagement and teaching her that all the good stuff comes from us. I am not going to sugar coat it; the training was intense but the important part is keeping it consistent at home. We hand fed and trained with almost every meal. There are so many great things I can elaborate on but this review will be an even longer essay. I think you get my point. They're great and well worth the price. PS. We drove from Irvine to Glendale just to train with these amazing trainers and met many new human and dog friends! We also went to puppy social almost every week for a solid 3 months or so and it was great socialization for our pup since it was supervised by trainers. We learned tips during these socials, like what to do when dogs get into it and how to read their body language. Very useful advise. Thanks K9Logic for guiding us along this training journey! read more

When we rescued an adult pit mix, we knew we had a bit of work to do! I tried to do research of training on my own, but we were still struggling with a pulling on the leash, chasing squirrels, eating everything and generally being disconnected. Chris introduced us to a prong collar, which I was initially nervous about. He taught us how to use it safely and effectively and it completely changed our relationship with our dog. I am able to feel confident in walking my dog anywhere, and she is really able to enjoy life and new experiences. By far the best trainer I have ever worked with. We saw the results with Roscoe immediately after the first private session and after we finished all our sessions, he is a completely different dog. Where other trainers gave up, or were frustrated with our progress, Chris celebrated each milestone we reached and always explained his methodology. He taught me how to speak to my dog in ways that he understands and how to practice with him consistently. He no longer pulls on the leash, he no longer is reactive on our walks, and he now walks nicely next to me no matter the distractions. I would like to say both Roscoe and I graduated as we have both done the work to make him a happier dog. I can't recommend him enough. - Michelle read more

One of the best trainer we've ever taken my dog to and we've gone through at least 4-5 different ones. I have a reactive dog and it's been so hard to manage him on walks before training with Chris. We did zoom sessions as we aren't local to them and I honestly didn't think it was going to work. Boy, was I wrong. 2 classes in and it's day & night when we go on walks. It's really a matter of speaking the right language and method with training. Everything was explained so clearly and easy since it was over zoom. It's not magic because we put in the work too. You really have to do your HW but just know they are always there to answer your questions and help you with any doubts. Thanks so much for changing our relationship with our pup! read more

Stumbled upon K9 logic after looking for a board and train program for my two year old german shepherd from santa clarita to OC finally deciding to go with these awesome trainers. They take the time to explain the process and do their best to not only help you but to be as communicative as possible. This is a huge plus as I'm one of those pet parents that worry and seem to have a billion questions about everything. The pup I had before and after training with K9 logic are two completely different pups. Not only were they able to help give my pup the structure and discipline he needed but they also gave me the tools and help I needed as well. read more

If you're second guessing going to K9 Logic for your training needs, stop second guessing and sign up with them! Took me a while to decide whether I should go with them, even talked to past alumni to see how their experience was. I finally decided to go with them and after completing our 8 week training, I wish I did it way sooner! First, you set up a consultation with them and they explain their approach and how to set up your dog for success. After the consultation, we booked the 8 weeks and got paired with Julie. Honestly, it was a great match! Julie is such an awesome trainer! She took the time to answer A LOT of my questions and really gave us the foundation on how to communicate clearly with our reactive and insecure dog, Noki! She gave us the knowledge, tools, and confidence to be able to handle our dog. We saw a big difference from our first training session! It's been such a great experience working with Julie. Now, we're able to go on hikes without getting worried about other dogs, be prepared what comes our way (including off leash doggos!), walk pass other dogs with ease, and be able to enjoy our dog off leash! She is so clear with her instructions during training and what we needed to work on in between sessions. Yes, you also have to put in the work! Our relationship and bond with our dog is stronger than before. The difference is definitely night and day. Our dog is happier, more confident, trusts us more, and more engaged with us! Thank you Julie! :) Training your dog could be expensive depending on what package you chose BUT it'll the best investment you'll ever make! Do it! read more

We can't say enough great things about this place! Their dedicated staff of master trainers really know how to teach you to communicate with your dog. I have a rescue Pit Bull/American Bully that was out of control. After training with head trainer Chris at K9 Logic, she's a different dog. She doesn't pull on a leash anymore (she used to pull until her eyes were swollen), she doesn't go running after other animals (she used to lunge after dogs), and at only 6 months old, she is amazing with recall. We went to their Puppy Socials for a few months while she was still a puppy and it helped her learn socializing with other dogs the correct way (not like the dog park full of aggressive dogs) with the guidance of their trainers. They truly set us up for success and a lifetime of healthy relationship. We're so happy with our results and would recommend K9 Logic to ANY of our friends and family. read more

K9 Logic Dog Training - Learning down-stays with other pups! - Pet Training Near Me - Glendale, California

K9 Logic has been a blessing in our life! We rescued a dog from the streets who came with massive aggression issues toward people and dogs. We completed 8 weeks right after we rescued him then another 5 weeks a year later. He is a completely different dog now that listens and responds to cues. He used to not be able to walk even across the street from another dog without becoming uncontrollable, now he can walk by safely without tugging barking or even paying much attention to them. We used a slip collar and e-collar throughout training and he responded immediately. Without these tools we wouldn't be where we are today. I like how they train the owner through the process and really listen to concerns and address them in each training. More than recommended! read more

Just finished my first private training session at the new K9 facility! Our trainer was Chris and we wanted to work on leash pulling and basic obedience with our dog, Lily. She is a four year old bealge mix and has always had a hard time with leash pulling. She is very motivated by food and the smells around her so regular walks tend to be exhausting when trying to get her to go in the right direction. I was also worried that her not being a puppy anymore would make it harder to train her. The session started off with Chris talking to me about the basics of training your dog and how important consistency is. He was able to communicate his style very clearly and made me feel comfortable in the space. Lily seemed to enjoy his company right away and responded well to his corrections. In under 30 minutes of our session Lily was able to follow his cues and he let me practice with her as well. We were able to comfortably have her walk beside me and worked on a few marking commands as well. Overall, a great experience for my first time. I am eager to practice the skills that I have learned at home and see her progress with this company! The staff was friendly, the facility was clean, and the sessions are personable. I will update this as we continue our sessions for further progress. I would definitely recommend this facility if you have been having trouble with your pup! read more

K9 Logic Dog Training - Pet Training Near Me - Glendale, California

We enrolled our highly anxious highly people-reactive super mutt rescue, Bernie, in the 5-Week B&T program and definitely recommend it for anyone who has done their research and made their own list of pros/cons but is still on the fence. Yes, it's a big investment, but it's an investment that works and continues to reward after the program is done. My wife and I tried to train Bernie (rescued at the beginning of COVID) for an entire year on our own (e.g. we read a bunch of dog behavior books, performed the training exercises recommended by dog behaviorists we follow online, gave our dog as much structure as possible, etc.), but it just wasn't enough. We could see Bernie's training starting to plateau, and even worse, his fear of strangers/people slowly growing, as we made our way further into (and out of and back into) the pandemic. Fast forward - Bernie completed the 5-Week B&T at K9 Logic with Chris as his head trainer, and he's a much better boy now. Not a brand new dog, but a much more balanced dog who is less easily spooked by strangers. More importantly, when Bernie IS spooked, he looks to us for guidance rather than immediately going into fight (barking/lunging) mode. The training worked wonders for Bern, but even more than that, worked wonders for my wife and me. We have only had Bern back home for 3 weeks now, but we feel like more confident and knowledgeable handlers, and we finally feel like we've got the groundwork and tools to help Bern be the best version of himself. Before the B&T, here are some things we NEVER thought we could take Bernie to do without him having a full meltdown or pooping his fur pants (really): walking through the Glendale Galleria, walking through Target, walking through Home Depot. All of these milestones have been unlocked for us only 3 weeks out, and we're excited to keep at it and to continue to help our dog be a more confident pup. read more
