I went to go check on my Labradoodle Chase and discovered he wasn't in his kennel. When I wrote to ask why not, I was told he is being placed in a much larger pen during the day for his comfort. I think this was very nice of the staff at K9 Kampus. His normal kennel was pretty small. I would have never known that they had done this for his comfort had I not asked. I'm very disappointed in their new policy about requiring 2 days of day care if you haven't used their facility in the previous 3 months. I have been using K9Kampus for at least 11 years. I live 45 minutes from the campus and didn't mine the drive because on how well they treated my dog. Requiring 2 day care visits caused me to find a new facility. I hardly ever have business/shop in Melborne, therefore the day care requirement created a hardship. Each time I picked my dog, the staff never indicated that he had a hard time during his visit. read more

I wasn't going to use the video in case I saw something that might aggravate me my entire time away knowing I couldn't return sooner - I did look in on my puppies who were sleeping on the last few days however the room looked very small and not like what I saw when they gave me a tour before I selected the room to reserve. It was NOT the room I had requested as I found out when I picked them up! also as I put their personal items in my car I noticed some stain on a pillow case. I took it back inside ( it also reeked) and asked if they had any diarrhea. I was told yes the beginning of the week. I showed her the item ( although their blanket was the same) So my dogs were sleeping on soiled bedding a week- even after they had been groomed and bathed the day before!! read more

I am writing this review, after boarding our dog there five times. Our dog has a ball, and we know he is always well taken care of. When I call they always know exactly how he is doing. This last trip, Derek had a little redness in his eyes(allergies or something), they let me know about it, and gave him saline washes while he was there and kept an eye on it. I was very impressed that they were paying attention and noticed something so small like that. The staff is always friendly, and professional. Long over due...I bordered my dog over the Holidays in 2020, and I nearly cried when I pick my pup up (and not for joy). I dropped my dog off in perfect health, and the dog I picked up was not the same. His back paws were COMPLETELY raw, he had a big gash on his shoulder, and an eye infection (which they said he didn't have and didn't notice). While I understand that dogs get scratches and stuff when playing, I called the facilities EVERY SINGLE DAY to check on my dogs health and well being, didn't hear anything but "he's doing great". I was told he had "hot spots" on his back paws, the day before picking him up and that he wasn't limping and didn't seem in pain...this dog couldn't walk on anything but grass for a MONTH due to pain. Those wounds were NOT hot spots...they were rubbed raw. In addition to all these injuries, his bed was soaked of urine (he's never peed his bed, I don't think he was let out to relieve himself). No wonder he got an eye infection when they just let him sleep in his own urine for DAYS!! All in all, don't board your dog here. read more

we have been using K9 for a while and have really enjoyed their campus , however, our recent visit left us with a very bitter taste in our mouths. our dog was left outside to play in the pool which she loves, however, they left her out so long that her paws became waterlogged. We had her signed up for a lure course during the day as well, again which she loves, but the center took her directly from the pool to the course and it tore up her feet to the point that she was unable to walk. It wasn't until the day of pick up that they noticed her limping severity and then called me to tell me she has sensitive feet!!! They offered to put ointment and bandage her feet for us but CHARGED for that as well! when questioned what happened they were very quick to stand behind their legal forms and say that we signed all the waivers and it's not their fault! when asked if they would cover the vet bill which was $140, again were told it's our problem as our dog had sensitive paws and they weren't told?! Remember, our pup has been there multiple times before and never had an issue with her paws before. This was not her first time! The vet mentioned her paws had been scaulded because they were torn through the pads!! K9 took immediate defense again - no apologies ever, no trying to make it right, just making it like we were the problem and letting me know they are a business too and need to make money! Are you serious! So clearly the customer isn't a priority and yet who pays for all their bills?? so an upset customer will spread the word and negative reviews will hurt a company, but clearly they don't seem to care. In fact this campus suggested that I find another another doggie day care for our pup! WOW.. the arrogance blows my mind! The owner was completely unsympathetic and relying On her legal forms! I would NEVER recommend anyone going there because of how negligent they handled the situation. As a long term customer that could have brought in way more business for her, had she simply offered to cover either the vet bill or our pups stay, all of this could've been avoided and another 5 week stay booked - BUT she chose to go down an aggressive path and revealed to the public how absolutely inconsiderate they are and that money is way more important for them. I am training my dog with trainer Darlene. Last night was the first time I went with my dog. He is a boxer mix with a lot of energy. I was having trouble. Darlene took my dog and straightened him right out. She straightened me out too. I think this trainer is the best. She knows her stuff. I know the money I spent was well worth it. Staff here is really nice and polite. My dog had issues when we moved down here and we had to start taking her to training with Darlene. Darlene is a really great trainer - my friends and I have all noticed changes in my dogs' behavior and they are more well - mannered than before. I would highly recommend coming here for training. They also have a really neat doggy daycare - like a full sized dog park. They also have a pool area but I believe as far as daycare those are only open on certain days. I will continue to use K9 Kampus and would recommend it to anyone in the Brevard County area. read more

My dog attended daycare and boarding at this facility. We experienced multiple issues with the staff especially the front staff who do not seem knowledgeable of their policies or duties. We would have to call multiple times to get out dog booked. We even showed up for a temperament evaluation and the staff did not correctly booked it and had to reschedule causing us to loose time from work. The staff was not accommodating to any requests- ex. I attempted to tour the boarding facilities prior to boarding our dog and scheduled multiple appointments with the front staff and when I would show up for the tour the staff member who was suppose to give the tour was "busy" and I was ultimately unable to tour the facility. Whenever we did speak to the owner she was quite rude and unhelpful. She did not take out concerned seriously and would make excuses for her staffers. Overall, we find the establishment poorly managed and not worth the headache for our dog. Multiple other of our friends have had similar experiences . There are multiple other dog facilities in Brevard county that are better in my opinion. I would not recommend. read more

I have previous experience with excellence in Dog Boarding and Daycare with the AMAZING Best Friends Pet Care of Chestnut Ridge, NY. So the bar was very high going in. I'm happy to say that K9 Kampus easily met and even exceeded my expectations for a quality and SAFE facility for Sassy, my Shetland Sheepdog. Shelties are unique creatures- they are born to love and protect. The highly qualified and warm-hearted staff at K9 Kampus instantly took to Sassy and appreciated her like a family member. Also, the facility is clean - nice flower pots out front!!!! I never like to leave town without Sassy- but sometimes it's a necessary evil. I now know that on the rare occasion when it's necessary, we have a safe haven for Sassy to go for quality care. Thank you Megan, Paige, and staff. We are now lifetime fans. read more

I've never written a review on yelp in my life but there is a first for everything. This company is one of the reasons why people discriminate against Pit Bulls. I called to schedule some advanced training for my already WELL TRAINED DOG to take the Good Canine Citizen test so she can move forward to become a Therapy dog. K9 Kampus said they do not take pit bull breeds due to their insurance. Really? So all of the German Shepard's that they have trained are not on the ridiculous discriminatory breed list? That was a poor excuse and extremely discriminatory. If you are a dog lover of any kind of any breed please do not use this company. All dogs should be able to train to become good canine citizens to help people in need. Not just "specific" breeds. read more

I took my dog here for lessons and I didn't even end up going to all the classes that I paid for. The trainer was crass and abrasive and the training was based more on a traditional, aversive approach than a positive reinforcement approach which has been proven to work better and is less abusive to the dog. read more

I have been taking my yorkie, Mia, to K9 Campus for doggie daycare for six months now. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. The staff are incredible, very loving, caring and they treat each animal as if it were their own. The owner Sherry is a wonderful business owner and I love it that Mia loves her, follows her around and misses her when she is not there. In response to Alison B. I have boarded my two dogs with a completely different experience. They are not unsupervised for 12 hours... I know this because when I called for my webcamera username and password the night staff answered. The webcams were difficult to get onto but once I did I could see that my babies were safe and that they were taken out for a bathroom break at night. I think that you have the wrong boarding facility. Especially since I do not see how a dog would escape their fences without parkour experience. Honestly with all of the daycares I have brought my dogs too K9 Kampus has been by far the best. I don't have to worry about them coming home with injuries or illnesses. They dig into the dogs personality and slowly introduce them into day care when they are new to ensure all of the dogs welcomed play safely. When I bring them home they are pooped and stay out of trouble for the next few days. I love it! read more

Phenomenal place who treat our dogs like true guests! We love this place (as do our dogs)!

Unsafe and unethical. The outdoor park directly abuts a major road, so kiss goodbye any training to keep your dog away from roads. Indoor fencing is about 3 feet high, and there are no higher fences between the play area and the door, making it a breeze for any large dog to escape out the door and to the major road a few feet away. According to their employees, they only provide 30 mins of rest between feeding and play, rather than the vet recommended 90 mins to prevent bloat, so make sure your emergency vet is close by. Employees also disclosed that overnight dogs are not given bathroom access - or supervision - for about 12 hours, so again, keep that vet close by for the likely UTI. Although they don't tell you this when you book, they will also charge you full price and refuse to refund your money, even if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance. There are many safer and better options in the area, so do your dog a favor and check them out. read more

BEWARE! Earlier this year I dropped off a healthy happy dog to be board for one week while I was away for work. To my horror when I went to pick up my dog she was completely PARALYZED from the waist down and in excruciating pain. Not one phone call or update to advise that my dog needed to be collected early or there was an accident. Absolutely zero explanation from staff. I rushed my dog to the vet who was immediately put into surgery for a spinal injury. Only after I pressed K9 again for answers they revised their video which apparently showed by dog hitting a pole while running with other dogs THE DAY BEFORE. Therefore my poor dog was obviously severely injured for over 24hrs with 0 medical assistance. Post surgery my dog has not regained complete use of her back legs and I can only think that if she had received some medical attention earlier this could have been avoided. Now I understand that accidents happen and dogs can get injured but the complete lack of awareness of the seriousness of her injury and lack of communication with me is frightening. Think twice before leaving your pet with this place. Not only did they refuse to acknowledge any responsibility or reimbursement, they even charged me for my dogs stay! read more

While I observed K9 Kampus today, several of the dogs barked at me....then began running and playing with each other...some were not sure they wanted to be there. In particular a Labadoodle, named "Oliver". He obviously did not want any part of the chaotic energy....Quietly wanting to leave....As the dogs ran and slid around on the the floor.....seems they had nothing better to do....When they did get to the point they were having a good time they got sprayed with water? I understand they need to be kept under control, But.....There was no place for the dogs to get away from each other, other than, in one of the 4 corners of the habitat, or on top of one of the plastic bridges... The floors of the area, are glossy concrete, slick and cold. The dogs are kept on these floors all day and do not see the out side all day.... I see problems with hips and arthritis. To go to the bathroom, to defecate or urinate, they have to get up on a little platform with green indoor outdoor carpet and a a fire hydrant or just go on the clean slick floor......Just did not seem right...I felt K( Kamopus could have done a whole lot better with their investment....Sure hated to see our best friends kept in this kind of conditions 8 hours a day..... Surely not a home away from home with friends, one star for convenience,,,My recommendation to search out individuals with more compassion.... read more

This place is ridiculous. The owner nickels and dimes you. They have all these extras that cost so much with all these extra fees for this and that and not to mention how expensive boarding is. $45+ per night. The owner is rude and condescending to clients and even to her staff. Its like she doesn't care about the clients, figures she has enough so if one gets upset she just acts like they don't matter. Well word of mouth can bite you in the butt. I heard her get nasty with one of her staff members once and I was applauded. The girl she was yelling at looked so upset. Her desk staff with the exception of one girl (caitlin i believe) are rude. I won't take my dog thier again. I have found another great doggy daycare thats in it for the dogs, not the money.
