Christy is a certified master groomer and for Melbourne to have warranted someone of this caliber is a rarity in itself but we lucked out she has other reasons to call Melbourne her home. It amazes me the professionalism they all have as she, Alex and her team seamlessly handle the number of dogs they do with such attention to detail and the finished product is always the same. Gorgeous!! The precision of her cuts is beyond anything the majority of groomers have the knowledge or ability to do for starters but it's no secret with her credentials she takes limitless pride in her work as a professional groomer. It's always a Zen place to be. My dogs are not overly stressed from being pushed thru a process like cattle at a sale barn. She always gives my girls this beautiful style that compliments their body and hair type. When I saw the photos online of her work she had notably a significant difference in her grooming abilities. Her grooming is far and above the rest. There's no comparison to anyone in this area to have close to the training and natural talent she has. I have been professionally raising , training and showing dogs over the past 40+ years. I'm not just trying to write a cool review here with cool sounding words. She's the real deal and is of the caliber to work at Westminster if she just had time lol Christy and Alex make me feel valued and appreciated and I never feel like Im interrupting their day or rushed even when Im pushing my schedule way too tight, It's obvious this is who they are because you'll get the same feeling from each person that works there. Stuff rolls downhill good or bad so the ones at the top gotta show the rest how it's done and every employee there takes that mantra seriously starting with the motivation Christy and Alex instill in their people to genuinely care about the quality of work they do. To do it the way you want it done when they say they will get it done and it will be better than you expect it to be done every time with happy wagging tails to great you at a reasonable cost that is standard in our area. I feel I'm never taken for granted but valued as one of "Her" clients.If you want to get her to make your dogs beautiful stand in line on their waiting list because she is worth waiting every second. I was glad I waited for her and I've referred others who feel the same. Just can't say enough praises to these guys so don't forget to tip the help. They work hard making our babies happy and gorgeous. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. We just moved here, so it's great to find a groomer that I like so quickly. Rates are reasonable.

I took my dog to get groomed a few times and they did not meet regular grooming standards and it had nothing to do with COVID-19. The first time I noticed my dog had like hotspots, but it was more like a rash and was scabbing, noticed a few days after the grooming. They must've used some cheap dog shampoo from China that irritated the dog. I felt so bad I gave her a bath to get rid of what ever was on the dogs hair coat. I thought to give them a second chance, so this last time I took her, they had asked what I wanted. I specifically said to clean her ears and clip her nails besides the bathing and haircut. When I picked her up she had an uneven haircut. I didn't check the ears, because you trust that they would do their job if they are charging you for it. It was $65 and anyway, couple of days later I checked her ears because she kept on scratching them and her paws were turning pinkish red from her scratching her ears. I checked and they were gross and stunk. They didn't clean her ears!! I will post pics of when I cleaned her ears and when she had the scabs all over her. Never taking my dog to Christy's. I don't recommend it and never going back there again. I'll do the grooming myself if I have to before I go there. I'd give them ZERO Stars if there was an option. Found a nice place in Suntree Called Woofgang Bakery and Grooming. I'm going to give them a try. read more

Fantastic groomer!! Great service and price is reasonable. My cocker spaniel looked so handsome and was exactly what I asked for... Great eye for detail. He has arthritis in his spine and sensitive skin so they used a shampoo and cut that works with his cocker warts which are part of his getting older :( Even my very grumpy 13 yr old dog that usually hates going to the groomer seemed actually pleasant when I picked him up and did his "I hate to admit it but I feel cute ... Christy, the owner Christy's Grooming just cursed me out (she screamed the B word at me, so unprofessional) and told me to pick-up my dog. She's upset because I brought up the fact that once again my dog had not been groomed like I wanted. This is the forth or fifth time this has happened so I figured I'd talk to her directly. She proceeded to say that I should talk to her groomers every time I bring my dog in because they're my employees. I replied that NO, she's my only employee as the owner and that I shouldn't have to supervise her employees for HER. I walked out to avoid any further animosity and had only driven about a mile away when she called and started screaming. She claimed that her groomer no longer wanted to groom my dog and to pick her up. And that I needed to apologize. I guess in her mind people who state the truth should apologize when the truth is inconvenient. In conclusion if I could give a 0 I would because the problem with this shop stems from the owner and will never be resolved. She believes she can do no wrong and no matter what they do to your pet is OK even if it's not what you're paying for. read more

I had always found Christy's to be such a cute place as I drove by Wickham from time to time so when I Googled who was the best groomer in Melbourne and Christy's came up I thought I really want to get my dogs in there because after three years of searching for a good groomer in Melbourne to no avail, I thought maybe this time I will find a perfect place to bring my dogs. I called and made an appointment. I have 3 miniature poodles one of which had never been groomed before. Poodles are more involved when it comes to grooming so if a groomer does not take the time to do a good job, it shows. They were above my expectations. They took their time to give my new little guy a great first experience. They took breaks with him and did not force him to do too much and my other girls came out looking ready for the red carpet!!
