This is one of the most filthiest pet stores I've ever gone to and will never go back to. My family and I were in there to get a small pet. We were looking at the fish and noticed that half of them were dead still in the cups or the tanks. One of the hamsters was dead just lying there and you could tell it had been days before anyone would even see. When I mentioned it to one of the employees, they just waved their hand and said they'll get to it when they have time. I was appalled and walked out. I called the health department to hopefully have someone go out there as there are dead animals in their tanks and not being dealt with, and it can be a hazard to other animals being put in the tanks or someone buying a pet that was inside with a deceased animal. I wanted to speak to their manager before I left and they told me that he wasn't available. I've never seen anything like this in my life. I hope that my phone call to corporate can resolve the issues with the store. read more

The groomer cut my dog today while grooming and didn't say anything. Noticed a cut on the inside of his left leg. Not happy at all. They should have said something about it when I picked him up.UPDATE! PetSmart reached out and apologized and were very sincere in their concern for my pet. I will be using them again. read more

My mom took her dog to get a haircut bath all that & I was taking care of her for the week and she stopped eating or even drinking water, diarrhea everywhere for 3 days had to go to the vet she was loosing weight throwing up as well. Then me not knowing my mom took her to this petsmart I went a couple days later and took my dog to get groomed and bathed that night and rolling next day she was throwing up diarrhea & didn't sleep all night and barely eating. List is too long kept my dogs for over 5 hours, just for shampoo & nail trim. After 9:30 pm when I was told to pick up my babies, they were still working on them.... Like.... I've been taking my pup here since he was 3 months old and this is one of his favorite places! Staff is always very friendly and helpful! And usually will get a free sample treat at check out! Also, tried the grooming service for the first time today, we saw Danielle and he was such a happy camper afterwards, looking so dapper in his new bandana! I've been using PetSmart Grooming for about six months now, and I've been very pleased at the quality of the grooming they do, but I've also been extremely happy with how much our groomer cares about our dogs. We always request Tashara because we liked how she groomed them the first time we were in. But I was also very impressed with how much she loves dogs. People who love dogs are easy to spot, and I see how she is with them. I also notice how they go straight to her with no fear. Today, I took them in as usual, and about an hour later I got a call from Tashara. Otis (the old man, 11 yrs) was acting funny. After his bath, he seemed confused and his legs were wobbly. Tashara got worried because of his age and because it has never happened with him before. She stopped the groom and called me. When I got there, she was really worried about Otis and seemed upset. I took him home and brought him back with me when I picked up our other dog. It may seem like a small thing, but the way Tashara cares about our boys means the world to me. Yes, she is a skilled groomer....but she also loves dogs and that means more to me. When your dogs are in someone else's hands....even for a short time, it is good to know it is someone who cares about them. Things like that make you come back to a business. The people who work there. Otis is fine. I think he just wasn't feeling 100% today. The haircut can wait for another day or two. read more

_0 I took my westie to PetSmart on New Haven Ave and explained I wanted a trim for Cooper they kept him for three hrs which made me mad to begin with when I came to get him the girl who brought him out had her leash on him I tried. Getting the harness on him and expecting her to take her leash off but she stood there making Cooper more nervous the girl had no idea what to do??? They ended up shaving him bald I got a full refund and an apology from mgr Dave and was offered a freed grooming from Ashley she did n an excellent job the last time he got last time he got cut coming to work today I found out my coworker had the same exact issue yesterday with angels , save yourself and your pet the aggravation and stress and go elsewhere !!!!!!!!! I was running late and stopped a few minutes before closing, which I understand was not the best time to ask for fresh water fish. I have a significant snail problem in two tanks and don't go to West Melbourne frequently. The cashier was not happy to see me walk in even though the doors were not locked. The man that help me didn't know if they had the fish, but found them. I ran to get a few fish items while he was getting them. The cashier, Christine closed the register about 9 minutes after 9. Christine told me that the company shut it down. The young man had already bagged the fish. I do visit this store pretty much every time I'm in West Melbourne. I'm an excellent customer. I've been to Petco in Palm Bay and shopped for a couple of hours, didn't realize the time and it was past closing. They were nice and didn't close the register and checked out my items and even helped bring them to my vehicle. Also, Pet supermarket in Indialantic is a new store that I've found since and is an excellent store. I will no longer be a customer at Petsmart in West Melbourne and not shop on their website. I, like most of us, we have waited past closing time or clocking out for work and to wait for a customer or in my case a patient. Thank you Christine, for helping me find two more pet stores that the people are kind and more than helpful. My dog came back from the groomer Cheyenne at Petsmart on Evans Rd. Took the dog to the vet next day because she would yelp in pain when I picked her up or when she was walking. No eating, very lethargic! The vet gave me medicine for pain, muscle relaxers etc., nothing is working after 4 days, will see the vet tomorrow again. read more

We are RV camping in the Melbourne area. I needed my two yorkies to be groomed. I chose this location because of the reviewers comments, in particular about Virgina. I called first and talked to her. She was delightful and understood my circumstance and was very accommodating. When I dropped my dogs of for their appointment, she was ready and waiting. She gave me an estimated time of completion. When I returned my dogs looked lovely and pretty. Also, they had a good v experience because I could tell they felt pretty. I recommend Virgina at this location anytime. This is a great store and I come here mostly to buy Wellness dog food products. Wellness brand is low in salt which is especially important for dogs with heart conditions. Wellness brand also offer 95% canned toppers which come in lamb, turkey, beef, chicken, and salmon. This is a great topper for your dog which makes eating kibble more enjoyable. With very limited ingrediants it is also a very healthy option. The staff here are very helpful and friendly too. read more

I had an appointment which I believe was for my dogs usual dog service, but when we check in we are told that our dog was only booked for a wash and everything else but NO hair cut, and it was a no hair cut day meanwhile another dog was getting his hair cut I was not happy to say the lease. So we left the store and not planning to go back. We got a nice new place and there is my dog will be going to from now on. Petsmart you loss a long time custome and your services have become poor. I have gone to PetSmart for years when I had a dog, so when my daughter and I were looking for plants for her fish tank, we went there to check it out. We ended up buying 3 plants that are doing really well, but ended up with a big surprise... SNAILS!!! Within a week, our 5 gallon tank had about 15 snails and a week later about 100 eggs! Two months later and we still fighting with unwanted snails. I'm writing this as a warning because the packaging says snail free plants. read more

I highly recommend Brandy to groom your pups! I took my 1 year old golden to get a bath and trim and she came out so beautiful and happy. She doesn't look thrilled for the pic but she's a pretty low maintenance golden (we got lucky!) but she tends to knot her hair very easy when its longer since she loves rolling around no matter how much we brush her! All her knots are out, she smells amazing, is SOOO soft and just looks so darn cute with her fresh cut. Brandy was so nice and talked so highly of my girl, she definitely loves her job and all the dogs. I also like that you're able to see whats going on in the grooming salon from the outside without interrupting. It was overall a great experience and I trust the staff fully, it was very welcoming. When you enter the store, sales associates great you with a smile and bellow, "Welcome to PetSmart!" This PetSmart has the typical PetSmart layout, so items were easy to locate. Plus, the sales associates roam the aisles to ensure that customers are able to find what they're looking for. I was looking for special cat food that I've only been able to find at PetSmart and low and behold, it was on sale when I used my (free to enroll) PetPerks card. Also, everyone I encountered - sales associates, fellow customers - was smiling, so I found myself smiling too. Plus, it's hard not to smile when you're shopping amongst cute dogs and other animals. Never again! I made an online appointment for 1:30 to have my toy poodle groomed. Someone called me about 11am and asked if I could bring her in sooner, so I did. I was then told the time to pick her up would be FOUR HOURS. I waited and waited and finally called at 4:45 and asked when she would be finished. I was told 5:15. It was really 5:30 by the time she was ready, which indicates to me that they hadn't even started on her until I called (I KNOW how long it takes to groom this little 7 lb. baby). Then, to top it off, they had NOT trimmed her nails. UGH! Her coat and cut was very uneven, looked almost shaved in spot and the groomer who brought her to me was so busy telling me about HER hair and how she had to straighten it that day, than nothing was said about my poodle. I took my dog, Franklin to Petsmart for a grooming service. While we were checking in, another dog attacked my boy. This was in no way the fault of any of PetSmart's staff. Our groomer, Tyler, put himself into harm's way to break up the dogs and break up the fight. The manager, Dave, came promptly to the scene and spoke to the owner of the aggressive dog. He got down on his knees and checked out my dog, Franklin to make sure he was ok. He didn't appear to have any injuries so we decided to proceed with his scheduled service. Tyler was very gentle and handled Franklin with great care. During his service, I received a call from Dave letting me know that they had found an injury on Franklin during his shave down. He let me know that they sent him over to their in-house vet and were having him checked out. It ended up being a very minimal injury, but they still provided us with antibiotics and did not charge us for them. When we went to pick up Franklin, not only did he look great, but he was also happy and not nervous at all. Tyler informed us that due to the events that transpired they would not be charging us for any services. I was very impressed with how the management and staff handled the situation. I feel very confident that Franklin is in good hands at this grooming department, and I plan on continuing to utilize their services for the foreseeable future. I didn't know what to do so I removed the fish lice and adequate days later my dad texted me saying both of my fish had died!!!
