The staff here have absolutely no concern for safety. Before our race, there were zero safety instructions provided. Staff did not check helmets were on properly, did not check seatbelts, and gave no briefing on kart operation, track rules, or what to do in the event of an incident or any flags. They just told us to put on a helmet and gave us our kart assignment. That is literally it. If you read the rules posted, they state that there is a zero-tolerance policy for contact, yet during our race multiple drivers were repeatedly crashing into others. I was hit extremely hard by the same driver three separate times. I saw the same thing happening to other drivers. At no point did staff intervene or give any warnings. The employee working was actually on his phone throughout the race instead of watching what was happening on the track. This is extremely dangerous and makes it clear that K1 Tukwila does not care about safety. Go-karting obviously involves some risk, but you should be able to expect basic safety procedures, active supervision, and enforcement of the facility's own rules. Unfortunately, none of these happened. I would not recommend anyone visit this location and would not be surprised if someone got seriously injured due to the lack of concern by the staff here. read more

"Disappointing Experience with K1 SPEED Tukwila, WA We hosted our holiday event on December 6, blocking out the entire facility for our staff. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of our expectations. Poor communication was evident from the start, with the management team seemingly unaware of our contract and promises made by the sales team. The facility was dirty, requiring multiple requests for cleaning, and the staff were unprepared for our private event. The lack of organization was palpable - activities were forgotten, and our reserved time was disrupted by other patrons. The absence of clear guidance and support left our team feeling frustrated and unsupported. What's most concerning is the complete lack of accountability and response from the executive and management team. Despite reaching out, we've been met with silence. My group unfortunately had a terrible experience today and will not be returning to this location. Our group of adults was paired up in a race with a group of elementary aged kids. The second the race started I was slammed into full speed by one of the kids, to the point where I lost my vision and could not finish the race. The workers didn't care and told me "Thanks for racing with us!" as I was walking off the track. After the race I learned this same kid slammed HARD into 3 other people during that race, and was never spoken to about it. Someone else who was hit spoke to the boy about his reckless driving, and the mom in turn started screaming at me and the other person for "ruining her sons birthday" and that "you should expect to get hit when go karting." Many members of staff saw all of this happen and did nothing about it, and let him race again with the rest of my group while I sat out injured. I watched that kid hit multiple people in the second race with no consequences, including slamming into a 6 kart pile up. During this entire experience the staff did nothing to slow down the karts or ever use any flags showing hazards on the course. The rules are stated in many locations that there is a zero tolerance rule for reckless driving, but the staff continued to let the kids race even after made aware of the injuries that were caused. I've learned from this situation that K1 does not care about the safety of their guests and does not enforce their rules whatsoever. read more

I recently booked a party here and would not recommend anyone waste their money doing that. 1) We arrived to a filthy party room. Dirty table clothes covered in crumbs were still on the all the tables from a previous party. Staff did't bother to actually look at or clean this room before we arrived, which was very ridiculous given the astronomical price to actually book a party here. They blamed it on the night crew that were apparently supposed to get the room ready for the next day's event. Even so, it would have taken them 5 minutes to walk into that room and see that it was not ready; ridiculous excuses. 2) The party room was freezing! Staff actually acknowledged that the central heat did not connect to the party room, so that's just the way it was. After we requested they actually do something, staff had space heaters brought out to warm up the space. THIS SHOULD AND COULD HAVE BEEN DONE prior to our arrival, especially given the fact staff knew this was an issue and knew how to resolve it. Basic steps could have been taken and they were not! We had to ask for plates and our DRINKS! I preselected the drinks, but when asked where the drinks were, the staff said the boys would have to go to the front desk to get individual drinks. This was not anything that they communicated; we had to ask! Again, bare minimum was done though you charge maximum pricing. Other than the racing, this experience was absolutely unacceptable. I could have just had the boys show up for the racing, got some DoorDash pizza myself (that is what they did), and saved money. K1 Speed needs to do better! We brought a group of high schoolers today for the full K1 package and had an amazing time! The staff was lovely, welcoming, and very accommodating throughout the whole experience. We chose the Platinum+ package and it was absolutely worth it. The venue is fantastic with so many fun activities to enjoy. Highly recommend for groups!! read more

The track is super fun, but we went on a Sunday and they predicted we would need to wait for 40-45 minutes. We didn't get on the track until an hour and 45 minutes after they told us we would go. That was super frustrating since we had other stuff going on that day and it held us up. It just felt super disorganized - we were next to go and then a whole group was let in front of us. Sounds like it was a private party and they were allowed to just cut in front of everyone when our names were all on deck to go next. The track itself is great though, you go pretty fast! read more

Be warned that they let ANYONE tall enough drive the adult cars. This leads to constant wrecks and repeated hazard laps due to several tall 8 year olds driving above their ability. This is a common occurrence and it is very dangerous. I've been carting for years at other establishments and I've never taken a hit as hard as the hit I received from an out of control driver yesterday. I did 1 race and there must have been more than a dozen hazard flags. Then they allowed the same out of control drivers back on the track for another race. No thanks! Ill go to PGP Motorsports in Auburn and drive 60mph carts to avoid the dangers presented at K1 Speed. 45mph go carts are not meant for 8 yo children without training. read more

Being an average go kart enthusiast with hundreds of laps at several different K1 Speed locations and other establishments, this is by far the WORST karting venue Ive ever been too. The first thing I'll mention is the karts. The karts seem brand new but most of the karts have the stiffest steering, nearly impossible to be consistent because of how hard it is to steer through a corner. Id say some of the karts feel like you are trying to steer a stationary car that doesn't have any power steering and I am not exaggerating. There are a few "good" karts that are easier to turn and are 2-3 seconds faster than the rest but, only the regular customers get the luxury of using those karts as usual... Second thing I'll mention is the customer service. The staff seemed to be hard of hearing and/or depressed. I tried asking some questions about the karts because of how bad the driving experience was and they were not very helpful in explaining anything. Basically they just told me some karts are better than others, promised to put me in one of the better karts and I ended up in another stiff kart again. The third thing I'll mention is the track configuration. It is a very technical course with lots of hairpin turns and only one single straight. Usually that would be a good thing but, coupled with the terribly stiff steering of the karts, your hands will almost definitely form blisters or just be sore for a while if they are not conditioned for gripping and pushing really hard. I would highly recommend going to PGP Motorsports Park if you are looking for a good go karting experience and don't mind a slightly longer drive. Thanks for reading. read more

If a manager or someone could call me I would really appreciate it. I booked a total of 6 races for my kids and I (we left after the first one) I'm not in to bashing businesses so I won't go in to depth with the really crappy details but in a nutshell we drove over an hour to K1 and my 8 year son was not only cut short on his race and treated crappy for being confused due to lack of instruction but was left once he got it parked (with no help) struggling to get his seat belt and helmet off. I tried to get help but the 3 employees were busy talking and laughing with each other than caring for a customer who just paid hundreds of dollars. Finally a girl unbuckled his seat then left and started hanging out with the boys again while he couldn't get his helmet undone, again I tried to get their attention while he's stuck and had tears in his eyes. I had to go walk him through it. We planned on doing a few more races that I already paid for but decided to leave. Not to mention the lack of direction my kids have and just had to wing it. The really nice boy that checked us in was really amazing when we walked in thank you for your help. Im a waitress so I always try to keep hospitality in mind and be patient but this really hurt my feelings. I would not have paid for more races had I known this would be how it would go.
