There are several instructors with you and they will take one at a time and make sure that you are able to get left and have a great experience. While you're waiting, you can observe and hear the instructions so you know what to expect. I ordered the 4-flight package and I only flew 3 times. I also purchased the high flight for an extra $20, but that was not honored :( I was unaware when it would occur, but it never did. Maybe a better briefing to ensure that instructor and customer are on the same page of what their package entails of? Reverification by reading off the wristband. I also paid for all media and was originally emailed watermarked media. I had to call to ensure that I got my media. Prior to this, there was a whole debacle with my refund for a whole month ._. Thankfully, they honored the rescheduling because I ended up getting no refund, but oh my gosh, this was so much back and forth with phone calls between this place and me. I also would not get calls back on our agreed time stamp for touching base :/ at least the staff was nice, but idk if nice really helps to make me feel better on how it logistically went down. Fun, fun, fun! Expensive, but fun I've done this twice. Once in 2013 and recently 2022. Almost ten years apart and still it was fun. This time I was given a birthday gift card which was easy to redeem online and make a reservation. FQA are very well described on their website but in a few words: the whole experience lasts 60 mins (watch video, ask questions, suit up and fly), but you'll be actually flying for 60 seconds (x2). No, you don't have to be afraid, no you don't need to be an expert or super fit. Yes, weight matters, restrictions apply. Yes, you can eat before flying. You'll have a locker to store your belongings for free. Remember no jewelry, watch, phones. I'd say you should be ready to spend some money : basic tickets ($100 for 2 flights) + $20 for the extra flight , $20 approx for the video and photos ( because, I mean!!! You do want the photos as proof of your adventure!) And of course, the tip (you can Venmo your coach) So I would say that at least $150 is worth the experience. It was worth it and fun. read more

This was quite the experience!! I had never done this before and I wanted to go for so many years. I'm gonna be moving away soon and they have nothing like this where I'm going and also my birthday is just a couple weeks away so my best friend who has been here before years ago took me to come try it out!! We came pretty early and they were able to get us in earlier than originally scheduled, we signed waivers and got weighed on a scale. (If you're 260 lbs or over you may not be able to do this activity safely, at a little over 240 lbs I just barely made the cut). From there you can go up the stairs to the flight deck and if you still have time to kill, you can watch others fly in the wind tunnel until it's time to enter a classroom to watch a very brief video with instructions for your flight, it mostly focused on hand signals your instructor will use in the wind tunnel to communicate with you, and your instructor will give additional info and answer questions before it's time to suit up and get all the necessary gear together for your flight experience ! Watching others flying this experience looked so fun and beautiful... almost like watching a ballet of sorts ! When I was actually in there however it was a different story... It was a bit terrifying lol I mean don't get me wrong it was still a fun experience and I'm all for thrills but it was a whole other thing going from watching it to actually doing it. I struggled quite a bit. I'm knocked knee'd and I couldn't really get my legs straight enough to have the correct posture for this activity and so many times it felt like i was just gonna fall. Luckily I had a couple instructors there with me but I felt bad for them cause I'm pretty heavy for a lady and they were trying to hold me up and adjust me several times. We had the high fly package but I was too heavy to go all the way up with an instructor and I also felt quite embarrassed that on my way out the tunnel on my second go around I tripped and my shoe slipped off my foot (luckily not inside the wind tunnel though and while I hurt for a few moments I was okay). This was quite the workout even just being in the wind tunnel for 2 minutes. It's two days later now and my arms are still sore ! This is definitely a sport. I'm glad I can say I've done it and would possibly do it again in the future but I feel like i need to get in much better shape before I attempt it again as It was much easier for the children and the people in the group who were in good shape. We had a great experience. Came here for a bday celebration. We did not do a party because it's not cheap but they do birthday packages. The bday girl chose a friend to come with her and younger sister by default. I chose the 2 flights per person and we came at an off peak time $84 per person. Each flight was 1 minute I believe so they technically got 2 min of flying experience. The check in process took some time but everyone was friendly. Kids got to go to a safety class first as a group, then they all got dressed with the available gear: body suit, shoes, ear plugs, goggles and helmets. The instructor was great. I loved being able to record and see the kids fly and have the best time of their lives. There is plenty of seats around to watch the participants. We will most likely do this again as a bday gift but I would probably just do 1 flight and instead purchase the high flight. That's when the instructor holds on to you and you get to go up higher to the ceiling. You can go skydiving for real for just a little bit more. Sessions actually in the tunnel were actually very short. 2-3min total over 2 turns inside. A lot of pushing for add on, high jump, future jump packages, etc. The Ugly- Gear and accessories were worn and falling apart, suits with multiple rips, flimsy goggles and torn headscarves. Again, for 100-150$ per jump depending on add-ons. I was expecting more functional and better looking equipment. For the price you pay, they should re-up on suits and accessories every year. We noticed a great introductory deal at Costco for $50, which offered 2 flights and a video download of the experience. This was about $30 cheaper than the prices at the establishment. The only drawback was the location as it's about 1 1/2 hr from where we live, but we figured on making a night of it and grabbed dinner before heading there. Once there you fill out some short waiver informations and head upstairs to the wind tunnel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We were able to watch them doing some cool tricks before our turn. They have good quality and clean suits and equipment. They have add on options like high flight which I really didn't think was worth the extra $20 as it interrupted half of the second regular flight and they only went up in the upper tunnel a couple times real quick and then was done. We had the best experience at ifly last summer for my daughters 13th birthday. Alex was our instructor and was very attentive, informative and fun. My daughters best friend is deaf. She needed to take out hearing implant to fit the helmet on to do the skydiving. She can read lips and we appreciated all the Alex did to make the skydiving comfortable and fun for our deaf friend. I've driven by this place countless times, always wanting to try it out. In July I took my daughter and we tried it out together. We had Baby Thor (Chris) as our flight instructor. He was cool! A few more visits with Alex Messer (also cool) as the flight instructor and I was hooked, my daughter not so much, though she enjoyed the few times she did it. Now if her phone had wings and flew around, I'm sure she'd be wanting more flying time and possibly coaching. I've been taking private coaching with flight instructor Alex Messer, and in doing so have had several of the other flight instructors in the tunnel as spotters (the on duty flight instructor while your being coached) They are all amazing flyers, encouraging in conversation, upbeat, funny, and nice to chat with. As I write this long overdue review I'm coming off the adrenaline glow of going in for a 15 minute block this afternoon. Today I had James Finch-Bridge. He's great! The accompanying picture is me practicing Back Flying (Level 2) with James as the instructor. As far as a business, I really like the way this place is run! I definitely appreciate the care taken in the hiring process of the instructors and staff. I've seen most all of them fly at this point and they are amazing. I've casually watched their interactions with the other staff, new flyers and returning flyers. Good communication skills are important to me and say a lot about an organization and their hiring practices. They've got it! The front desk staff have always been welcoming and have always been helpful to me. High marks all the way around!!! Truthfully, it is relatively expensive the first time in. There is a short class involved and some training, so it would understandably cost more. After your finished with your flying experience you have the option of purchasing future time at a decent discount. At first when the sales pitch came I was thinking, here's how they get you back in the door. The little voice on my other shoulder said, "You know you want to come back, so save so friggin money and buy a return voucher, or two or three." That is honestly how I've been able to fly almost 7 hours total now, and I can see that number growing... Another truth or fact, the flights are not that long on a basic package. Potential buyers really need to know that. I would recommend at least buying 4 minutes or more. The time may seem really short before you actually try it out. The reality is that once you're in the tunnel flying, time seems to slow down a bit. The whole event can wear you a little (in a good way) by the time you've done a few rotations, especially when you factor in the adrenaline, the anticipation, the class, the flying, and skipping down the stairs and back to your car. For our first time I purchased (2) 4 minute flights. That gave both of us enough time to fly several times each, with the option of buying the high flight at the end. The high flight was fun, but even as I was spinning around higher and higher, I knew in my head that I'd be doing that myself some day soon, and I'm working on it, primarily on my Back as of this review. read more

Had a school event here on a recent Friday. Pretty fun setup. The staff was really great, from the front desk to the geo-physicist presenter of education and the skydivers and coaches. One issue the class had was with the guy in the photo. Wasn't able to catch his name but he was working the equipment; racking, stacking, cleaning and seemed to get into it with one of the kids who was just confused on the gear and started to tear up. I tried asking the employee what the issue was and he snapped back abruptly. So I'm not sure what triggered it, maybe it's because his height was in line with some of the 5th graders which could come across as more direct than they're used to. He was the smallest male employee. Just thought it odd given every other staff member was great to work with. Maybe that's why he's tasked with clean-up...would be a real concern if he was the one skydiving with kids. I might bring my staff here for a go one workday. May want to double check bringing kids when this guy is working...ensuring the kids have a good experience through and through. Like I said, the rest of the staff were absolutely top notch! I am now a thirtysomething. For my 900th review, I am writing about iFLY which I visited yesterday as my last twentysomething activity. iFLY is an indoor skydiving facility. It can also be considered as a training site in preparation for the real thing of jumping out of the plane. I went online to their website to book a package. Packages offered depend on your experience with iFLY. If you have neven flown before, you will need to choose between the first time flyer options. The pricing is higher initially, but it goes down for returning flyers. Depending on the amount of training you have had here as well as your actual performance in the flying chamber, you might be able to perform advanced flying techniques on future visits. I booked the Earn Your Wings package ($59.95) on their website which includes two one minute flights. Yes, it is a little pricey but I think the length in the flying chamber is appropriate for a beginner. I don't think sticking a newbie in there for more than a minute makes sense due to their lack of experience with the elements inside. You need to check in an hour before. I booked a flight an hour later than I actually flew, but was able to move up my flight time since there was some earlier availability still. After a short training session, I put on the skydiving gear. Or rather, I got help putting on the skydiving gear. I wasn't sure if I was putting everything on correctly so I asked for help and the instructor happily obliged. Better safe than sorry. You don't want your shoes to fall off in mid-flight. They do ask you to remove things from your pocket like jewelry, wallets, etc. before you enter the chamber. They have individual lockers with locks to place your valuables in for safekeeping. I wasn't sure what to expect when entering the chamber. Prior to visiting, I had imagined that it might be like that scene in the movie, "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" when Charlie and Grandpa Joe sample Fizzy Lifting Drinks and start floating. Alas, that was not the case. It was more like flying in a tornado. Since the instructor is guiding you in the chamber on the first visit, you kind of feel somewhat like a human shot put. My first attempt was crazy and hilarious simply because I had all the wrong moves. It was indoor skydiving FAIL. My body was flailing all over the place, while I had a dazed impression on my face like if this was really happening. Oh and I was full of drool. Getting me back out of the chamber was like rounding up a wild pig. It was such a Youtube-esque trainwreck that I had to spring to get the DVD ($14.95) to see the embarassing moment. On replay of the incident, I was amused the instructor gave a "Whew" facial expression to the camera after I was corraled out of the chamber. The second attempt was much improved by a mile from the first attempt. I figured out my issues by watching the other flyers. The problem was my lack of symmetrical movement. If in doubt of what to do, remember the first line of the chorus to the Mariah Carey song, "Butterfly". Spread your wings and prepare to fly. I enjoyed my indoor skydiving experience at iFLY. It is an unique thing to try. For those risk adverse to jumping out of the plane, this is a nice alternative. It was a perfect activity to end my stint as a twentysomething. Though I wonder what I can do to top this in another 10 years. The real thing? I think I am going to need at least that long to summon the cajones to do that. read more

It seems a little hard to do, but if you just try and relax and let the instructor help you, it is sooooooo much fun. My son was invited here for a birthday party (10 year olds). At first, when we told him about it and showed him the demo video he gave us a confident "No thanks." Along with a "I don't want to." But we encouraged him to check it out for a close friend's party and make up his mind closer to the time. He ended up doing two one minute flys - the second where the instructor guided him high up the tunnel and back again. I was really impressed with how the instructor connected with the kids, prepped them for the fly (including hand signals for communication and tips in between the two flys). You know that falling sensation you get in your stomach when you fall? Well it doesn't happen here at all--trust me, you have no falling feeling. You walk in lean forward, and the wind just holds you up. This place is by appointment only. So call or click to make an appointment. Upon arriving, check in on the touch screens directly across from the front desk. After that, the clerk will weigh you and give you your "ride" bracelet. Go upstairs and wait for your appointment time to be called. You will then watch a short instructional video, gear up, lock up your stuff and fly. After that, return your gear, get your flight certificate, tip your flight instructor (if you want), and use your bracelet at the kiosk to purchase videos or photos of your session). Gear: You get a flight suit, helmet, goggles and ear plugs. Sorry, no jewelry allowed. You need to make sure your shoes won't fly off (or they can provide you some). The experience is awesome! But one session only lasts a minute long. :( The only real complaint I have is that I wish I had a helmet like the instructors (motorcycle type helmet with a plastic face). The wind is so strong in the tunnel and it was a bit annoying in the nostrils. Tighten up those goggles too! I didn't and my contacts felt like flying off! read more

Feeling scammed: The experience itself is cool. We've gone 3 times. At the end of your flight you are offered a special deal to buy more flights, which we did. I called today to make an appointment for my sons birthday 2 weeks out. They have appointment times all day long available but as soon as they found out that I was using a prepaid voucher they said they didn't have availability. You are not told when you purchase those vouchers that you can only use them certain off times that aren't very convenient. I feel scammed . Basically being punished for being a return customer. Do not purchase the return vouchers. I refuse to pay another couple hundred for my sons birthday when I have already paid. read more
