Everyone was super nice and informative. My boyfriend and I went during the afternoon before kids got out of school and before anyone really gets off from their 9-5 jobs. We were the only two people racing for two whole races and it was great. The karts are fast and sturdy and each race is about.... maybe 8 minutes long? They have suits for you to wear if you *want to* but they are optional. The music is pretty decent that they play in the background. There's a decent looking restaurant area with a self-serve beer machine. We didn't eat anything there, but we plan to next time we go. Races are 28$ for the first round and any subsequent races are only 18$. We brought our motorcycle helmets because I get a little weird wearing public helmets like that which is perfectly acceptable as long as it is DOT/Snell approved. There's a large glass wall for people to watch you race from the arcade area which is pretty cool. I can imagine this place being packed the later it gets on a weekday and packed all day on the weekend. Glad we came during non-peak hours as we wrapped up there was a kids party starting. Also, please be aware that there are no lockers for your personal items. They do have cubbies that are open in the locker room where all their jumpsuits are but I would be more comfortable putting my bag in the trunk of my car. Just in case. So the staff is super helpful and kind with going over any questions or adjusting the seat/pedals if you're short like me and even strapping you in. I will definitely be coming back with my boyfriend in the future and we prefer this track to the Autobahn in West Nyack, NY. This track also has an incline and the karts go a bit faster. Overall a more exciting and fun experience, especially because I didn't have teenagers ramming into me like bumper cars and making me feel like I"m going to have whiplash the next day. OH! There's a separate track for little kids that's less curvy and no incline. read more

You come here for fun not service. Racing was easy and great. Trying to get a waiter/waitress to help you is another thing. Then once they do--it takes 20 plus minutes to get anything. read more

I been here with my family quite a few times and every time my family has a great time staff is very well organized and helpful then I decided to have a party for my son Andrew track marshal angel who ran the party did an amazing job my son adored him and how he got them to do this really funny dance I recommend if you have a party here ask for angel to do your party he had a blast and I will definitely bring my family to return more often keep up the great work Grand Prix!!!!!!!!! read more

I've been here over 70 times since it opened! Its a fantastic facility. It is hard to explain just how fun the karts are to drive. There are two 1/4 mile tracks that can be run forwards or backwards. They also combine the tracks to make a 1/2 mile supertrack. Either way, it creates a wonderful race. It is tons of fun to bring all my friends and just hang out for the day, racing and eating. I bought a package from groupon and was a little concerned after reading all the reviews. I took my son who is 8 and got immediate service when we got there. Yes we watched a 5 minute clip on what the different flags meant and yes he had to wear a racing outfit but he loved it. We live about 40 minutes away and really the trip for my son was worth it. So when I first got there they gave me an unlimited placard. It was unlimited. Then they gave me popcorn that had unicorns in it. The games were fun and nice and very nice. The staff told me that unicorns exists and I love them. read more

***UPDATE*** This is an update to my last review. Since my last review, we have established that today was our race day. The staff, from the race coordinator (Anthony), to the race officials, and wait staff in the restaurant was exceptional. This was classic GPNY customer service. My group of about twenty people ranging from twenty five year sold to sixty, have had a memorable time. The entire race staff was attentive, fair, personable, and funny. They made every effort to ensure everyone's safety on the track. After a one and a half hour race, we decided to eat at the restaurant. The wings were cooked to perfection. We've ordered Wings (Buffalo and BBQ), Sliders (hamburger and cheeseburger), and Nachos. My waitress was as friendly and accommodating as waitresses can get. She was very attentive to my group. I forgot her name, but she was tall, medium complexion, and appeared to be aged in her mid thirties, early forties. She was a true professional. I really hope that GPNY keeps this level of service. I am still a fan, and Will definitely Book another race. Only ONE feature request for the cars left: I wish we had Camera mounts for Contour and Go-Pro Cameras so that groups who rent the track can record their races. :-) Thanks a Lot GPNY Team!!! read more

This place is a blast. Good food, tons to do. You can spend the whole day and always be entertained.

I go for the racing but you can bowl or use the arcade. the food is excellent, very well served and delicious. full bar offers a wide selection of drinks. always a lot of fun with friends or the kids. read more

All I can say is if you have not been to Grand Prix New York you are missing out. This place has a little something for everyone from kids to adults. I saw a couple of 12-13 year olds giving each other high-5's after they raced and as I was sitting at the bar later that night there was a 60th birthday going on and I saw the same reaction from the 60 year olds. I don't think they were as much of a high-5 but I will give an "A" for effort. Get to the track and try it out for yourself. You be the judge! And then get to YELP and write a review. Celebrated a charity bowling event here and had an excellent time. Came back to celebrate a birthday for one of my brothers ... would absolutely do it again. Food was in line with its purpose ... but if you're old enough you know that you have to have a cherry coke at a bowling alley. Yes, it's a thing. Fun....If you have a flexible schedule. Read that important disclaimer on their website because it will haunt you time and time again. "ALL AVAILABILITY IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. " You simply cannot plan on track being available. The last few occassions, I had checked availability for the week. Scheduled mid-week and call today and track has been sold to a party. Obviously, GPNY has no clue how to run a business and put too much emphasis on parties. GPNY has open schedule. Clients pencil in day to race. GPNY fills schedule and turns away customer. Party commences, customer does not return. This is how they will slowly go out of business....if it isn't the pleather of other failures reported here on Yelp. Last thought for businesses that operate like this- If your yelp page looks this poor and you are literally pushing customers away in favor of parties.....STOP OFFERING GROUPONS! read more
