My friends and I came for the sumo championship. Security to get in took a bit of time and their scanners literally went off for anything metal. I saved my ticket to my apple wallet but apparently it didn't have a bar code so I recommend just saving it in your ticketmaster app. There were plenty of ushers to show to your seat. The prices for concessions was reasonable. The line for the bar was very long but I got a surfside from Nathans that was $9. Overall good experience. When the event was over they made an announcement that everyone had to leave even though we were told there would be a ceremony. I parked on a side street across from the venue since there were long lines to get into the metered lots. read more

Great venue to see Dancing with the stars . Clean affordable. Our group wasn't together and my friend had our tickets I had to use the bathroom....kindly one of the staff escorted me to bathroom so I didn't have to wait for my friend the ticket holder...thank you I really appreciated it. The place to park is a mad house so get there early if you'd like a free spot if not parking is 30. All in all great fun to be had here. read more

Was here for the LOX and friends experience II over the weekend and boy did they show out for their hometown! If I had to guess the place held a few thousand people that was all having an unbelievable time at this event. I would not host a large event, like a sports memorabilia show, due to the lack of parking. Also, the inside needs a renovation. I've been to the county center a few times over the years. They always put on great shows and expos. We were at the reptile expo yesterday. Came home with 2 python snakes . My kids are super excited... the vendors were all great and really helpful with advise on how to care for the animals. read more

Covid shots - easy parking, well guided from street crossing to ID check to private booths for a shot. One staff member administers the shot while the second records your info and fills out your vaccination card. Wait 15 minutes for allergic reaction and off you go. Was less than 30 minutes from parking lot to back on the road. Thanks to the Westchester County police, the members of our National Guard and the medical staff for a fantastic job! read more

Went there this evening for a WWE live event. My wife and I parked in the East parking lot. When we got back to our car after the event, we discovered my wife's cars front left tire had been slashes and the hood of her car had been keyed. The manager of the lot was no help and the police weren't much better. The cop actually told us that a group of homeless people were escorted from the parking lot during the show, and car vandalism happens frequently in the parking lot also!!! The event center should probably up there security, wouldn't you think?! The manager was the worst, he was absolutely terrible and zero help. He should not be managing anything what so ever. This is no Madison Square Garden, in no way, but this is as close as you're going to get to professional basketball up in White Plains and Westchester Knicks! My husband purchased court side tickets for a weekday game. So let me put all the players on the table: -The Westchester County Center is a multifunction building hosting tons of events. From Home Shows, Stamp Shows, The Circus and Concerts, showcasing Aretha Franklin and The Jacksons who have stomped their way up in White Plains, -The Westchester County Center, first opened its doors to the public 90+ years ago- and it's still pumping, -The WCC was constructed with an art-deco style in mind -The WCC is in the Downtown area of White Plains and right across from my favorite restaurant City Limits , and -The WCC is home to the Westchester Knicks! Need I say more? Watching a basketball game is exciting. Players are up-front and personal. You get the energy. You get the real thing, no replays, if you blink, you missed it. The County Center has always been a good spot for all sorts of local events over the years; job fairs, kids shows, theater, collectible shows, and concerts too. Yep, White Plains rocked it back in 2012 when the band Boston came to town! And now they have the D League Knicks playing there as well. Pretty sweet. I'm actually looking forward to checking out some games. If I could make one request to improve the place it would be that they get more live music. I can't remember a single interesting band stopping by after Boston and it's been like 2 years. It would be awesome to see some live music without driving down to the city every time, sitting in traffic, and paying a fortune. read more

We came here to go see Dancing with the Stars Tour LIVE. There was a ridiculous amount of traffic outside before the show began. Then, when we went down the road to go to parking, they told us THERE that there were no more spots. The woman who worked there seemed annoyed we were asking where else to park. We ended up having to find parking behind the CVS. By that point, we missed already 10-15 mins of the show. Ugh. Then, on top of it all, the seats are not comfortable (metal fold out chairs) plus they were practically on top of one another. You are so squished in these seats! Also, you can barely see the stage because it's definitely not stadium seating. So, if someone has poofy hair in front of you (like I had to deal with) - best of luck. Lastly, their music person was dead center, causing another obstruction of view. Their wires were also right in my view of sight (as it was looped from the top instead of on the floor I guess for safety reasons). Doubt I'd ever return unless they fixed so many issues. And the tickets weren't cheap! read more

DRIVERS BEWARE. I'm not sure if it was the time of day, or the event, or what. But my son and I drove up to the Westchester County Center to see the Harlem Globetrotters, and the parking was a hot mess. Two gated lanes into a lot with no exit other than the entrance. Between the lights, the traffic, the gates, and the lack of traffic control (no crossing guards or police conducting traffic before the game), it literally took use 30 minutes to park, and at least 30 minutes to leave. It took us 50 minutes to drive up from Long Island. Then another 30 to move a distance I could have walked in 10? If I came to the Westchester County Center again, I would definitely try to park somewhere else and walk it, or take Metro-North. I wish I were forewarned about how much of a disaster the parking is. Never mind that I paid for it, either - *they* couldn't pay *me* to park in that lot again! read more

Been to many events here and I'm never disappointed when I leave. The staff is always friendly and I just enjoy the events that come through the County Center. You really dont get this kind of venue everywhere. It's big enough to accommodate the crowds but small enough you dont get run over or shoved by them. Lol. Westchester County Center puts on so many unique experiences too. Great for the kids and adults. From wedding expos to basketball to concerts - theres something for everyone. The location is great as well, easy to get to right off of Bronx River Parkway. Definitely make your way to the County Center with your family or friends. You will have a great time! read more

I suppose the county center is functional for its multipurposes but holy hot damn, the stairs leading to the lower seating on the top level are the biggest hazard Ever. Its like climbing down the slopes of some steep ass stone chinampa gardens in the Andes man! Every.damn.graduation. I see some lady fall on her ass trying to walk down in her dress and heels. Its not a pretty sight or sound when they ::thud:: on the cement steps. That and the security they use for high school graduations.... We are coming from the Town of Cortlandt not Harlem!!! Metal detectors, wands, NO water bottles allowed... yeah bc I'm about to get REAL CRUNK at this 2 hour afternoon graduation. They need to chill the hell out. I get its for our safety but treating us like we're from Rikers is a little over the top. Yeah im keeping my water you hear that?! (and I DID) At least the bathrooms are quite clean and there are enough of them that you dont have to wait long if at all. I enjoy volunteering for the Animal adoption event that comes in each spring and fall but other than that, I'm not down for paying the ridic parking fee in the lots either. I get it goes back to the county but some circumstances, it needs to be waived. read more

It was halftime at the Westchester Knicks game, just an average winter night at the County Center. The Knicks mascot, Hudson, had been riling up the bustling crowd of 200-500 people all game long. The mascot, who is inexplicably a dog, casually sauntered out to half court. There was no music building, an otherwise quiet commercial break, and absolutely no indication that something incredible was about to happen. But it did. Hudson started bouncing a basketball at center court, then held it and silently began waving it up and down in very measured, almost scientific fashion. I was becoming aware, only at that very moment, that something was going down. With no announcement and no hype, he suddenly launches the ball over his head and COMPLETELY DRILLS A NO-LOOK HALF COURT SHOT. THAT'S RIGHT, A DOG. A VERY GOOD DOG. I completely, entirely, lost my shit. PLEASE watch the video I've uploaded to the photos section. This moment had practically been a lifetime in the making. Since I was but a boy, I've come to Westchester County Center for numerous events. From sports card shows to our high school basketball games, this musty coliseum figured prominently in my youth. The strange Nathan's Famous on the floor level, the numerous niche hobbyists who frequent the building for coin or toy shows, reptile expos, and model train exhibitions - it's all here, some sort of suburban underworld, where the freaks and geeks come home to be with each other. As I grew older, moved onto adulthood, and took less interest in the card shows, Westchester County Center became more of a fond memory than a real destination. This all changed when they scored their biggest tenant yet: the New York Knicks' minor league basketball affiliate. Finally, I heard the County Center calling me again. Please, come back, we have a thematically confusing mascot; he is a dog. It was some time later that I sat in those center-court seats, alongside friends who'd accompanied me at many card shows in our youth. We stopped in here during our hiking/ walking trip along the Bronx river Parkway. They were having a comic convention so we couldn't browse around and linger too long since we didn't have tickets to the event. The place was very clean with a huge parking lot. It reminded me of a smaller Jacob Javitz minus the parking lot. I would be cool to attend an event here with the set up of the facility and convenience for parking. read more

I came here with my brother, a friend and my boyfriend with the intention of attending a baseball card show (for the three boys of course, I don't consider myself a sports card enthusiast). We got there two hours early and attended the Coin and Paper show in the downstairs convention room of the County Center. Who knew so many people were avid coin and paper money collectors?! This particular show was free admission. It was totally fascinating to walk around and see such old coins and paper money. Very cool. The baseball card show was $8 admission, but worth the price. There were TONS of sports memorabilia items (from cards to figurines to posters to jerseys and helmets and posters and signed stuff and TONS of things), as well as other stuff that actually interested me! Several venders had TV show collectable card packs! Cartoon kid shows to awesome shows like "Lost" and other modern shows. I got a cool pack of Nintendo's Super Mario Brothers collectable cards and a Lost card pack, as well as the classic Wacky Packages pack of hilarious cards. The County Center could use some updating, but it serves its purpose. Plus it has four pay-phones. Vintage. read more

Located next to the Bronx River Parkway and tail end of Central, the Westchester County Center has been host to many trade shows and events to the Lower Westchester area. I've been here for many of the computer shows and holiday events and they've been hit or miss. But for the space, the County center does keep the events interesting. read more

Great venue, great space and location just over the TZ. My only complaint is the food selection is very limited with only hotdogs and fries to choose from. Nutritionally speaking, bring your own food. Lastly, parking is really not clearly spelled out. We had to park and then ask an employee who was sweeping outside where to go. Good staff couldn't find my seat and they took me to it in like a minute which was great but why is there 2 food places?

No big poofie hair here. LoL. Small venue not a bad seat in the house. The other views I read i wonder if the people were even talking about this place. I saw The Beach Boy here and we got in quick, was walked to my seat and the seats are padded and so comfortable. Reminds me of OLPH in brooklyn. The staff is helpful and friendly. Get the floor seats, they are worth it. Easy access to bathroom. Great sound. 5000 people capacity. Parking was not an issue at all. The drinks are cheaper than the place across the street. Beach Boys and John Stamos is the best concert I been to in a while. The first concert I been to where they sang the National Anthem before the start. God Bless the United States. read more

A nice intimate convention center. It's not too crazy big that your legs hurt from walking from one end to the other, yet it has an old school charm of warmth and intimacy. I attended the NY Reptile Show here on 1/5/14 and it was amazing. Who would have thought u could see so many cool and unique snakes and lizards in one place. I advise anyone who has kids or who's just into reptiles to check out the next event they have. Parking is a little bit of a aeon but for $5 right in the heart of white plains, ny .. there's not much to complain about read more

Andy, Andrew and Pat are persistently in the middle of all trouble that happens here. If anything goes wrong, you can bet that you'll be seeing one of their faces in short order. Parking is too expensive and they wouldn't let me pay with the money I had, forcing me to back out and find a cash machine. If the County Center wasn't my only option for seeing the reptile show locally then I wouldn't be going here, especially because of Andy, Andrew and Pat. read more

I came here for dwts live. The show great. I give this place 3 stars because their parking sucks!!! How horrible was it to park in their lot. They have cops when you get there but no cops directing traffic out. Or at least I didn't see any. The traffic crawled. I had to sit in my car and wait for all the cars to leave. The Westchester County Center is a nice personal space for concerts. I attended the Oscar DeLeon concert this past Saturday 4/27 for the first time. We had great seats and the view was perfect up at the Risers. However, the lighting technician was horrible. He use blue lights facing towards the audience and it blinded us. We could not see the artists clearly and the beams of blue light were so strong that the audience complained. The lighting on the artists was also bad. They could not be seen because the spotlight was off of them. All in all, a new lighting technician is needed for future events!!!! read more

Ok, I bought tickets for my kids (WWE WRESTLING) which they are early 20's so they are not little kids. They had seats next to the walk way, that should be good seats, well it was horrible they couldn't see nothing, the kids and adults was crazy running all over their sneakers and standing on the seats falling over on them and the security guard was taking selfies of himself, the whole 3 hours which was insane. He didn't do a good job. So therefor I do not recommend any body to get floor seats. My kids don't ever want to go back again. a place in white plains that needs to be visited more then once regardless if you live in white plains or not . the westchester county center is located in white plains ny on central ave near the downtown area and steps from the bronx river parkway and metro north train station . it opened for biz in 1930 at the cost of 785,000 and renovated in 1988 at the cost of 16 million bucks. the main area holds 5,000 seats for concerts, sporting events and other events as well. the structure is old school art deco style that gives the building that retro look of yesterday .along with the main room which reminds me of a school dance hall , the basement area is where the coin. stamps , sports collectibles , and other events are held while the reptile , electronics show , home designer show , etc are held on the main level across from the entrance .the stairs leading to the entrance reminds me of the court house in downtown brooklyn but once you enter inside your not in brooklyn anymore . some shows are free like the coin and stamp but others are about 8 to 10 bucks for admission . the westchester knicks which is the minor league affiliation of the nba knicks play here and seem to be a better option too see rather the nba knicks . the security and staff are not the most professional and friendly toward visitors , when i was waiting on the long line to check out the baseball card show i finally notice that the line was for the knicks game and my event was in the basement to the left and no line at all but the staff member who's job was to guide us folks to the correct event was too busy trying to rap with a pretty girl (i can't really blame him cause she was stunning) but kidding aside some better direction or signage would help. some events especially music and sports requires going thru metal detectors which i have no problem with at all. i wish more concerts were held here cause 5,000 seats is more then the beacon theater and almost the same as radio city music hall and the theater at madison square garden but without the hassle of expensive parking . the parking situation is not bad at 10 bucks for most events with parking across the street and to the left of the center, if you can find free parking on central ave and walk a few block then i recommend doing that as i did. i must mention that the royal hameford circus has set up tent at the center for years and for a family of 4 or more it's a much better deal financial compared to the soon too vanish barnum and bailey circus. overall a really good place to catch an event and even the padded folding chairs to wstch a concert or check out basketball is bearable .4.5 stars on my yelp meter. read more

Judging by other reviews, this venue might be a poor setting in which to see a show on stage. However, I recently came here for the reptile expo, and it worked out really nicely! Since the crowd flowed in throughout the day instead of all at once, there wasn't any waiting to get inside even though there were a lot of people attending. Barely any lines at the ticket booth and security. The floor was packed with vendors, but not beyond capacity. The stage and the conference room were also both filled with vendors- so much to explore! Between admiring and petting the herps, picking out the ones we'd take home, and then doing comparison shopping for supplies, we spent nearly four and a half hours here. Good deals to be had on some of the herps and equipment. Parking was kind of annoying because the county center lot (although convenient) is ten dollars per car on event days. They're already charging us ten dollars a head at the door, so I would have appreciated a break on the parking rate instead of a spike in price. But all things considered, a good venue for a convention. read more
