Not very smooth per the skaters coming off that were more advanced. The beginner coaches here are very friendly, per some of the other parents, otherwise kids are coming for the freestyle practice sessions ($25) - you can pay online or in-person (though that's slower). The two sheets are the American and Canadian ice sheets. The main lobby has some wooden benches for skaters to put on gear, but if you want a table to work as an adult, go upstairs to the "cafe-ish" and viewing areas over the rinks (which is nice). Need a few more outlets, but you can find a few to charge up your phones/laptops.

In addition to two full sized hockey rinks and skate rentals, it has a hockey and skate shop inside, and a lounge and snack bar upstairs known as Snackish. Snackish Cafe & Grill includes wholesome breakfast, lunch and snacking fare, and specialties like soups to warm you up when you're getting off the ice. I love the hot chocolate with marshmallows, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup with some brown sugar pop-tarts to warm me up and satisfy my sweet tooth. Staff is friendly and there are plenty of tvs upstairs to watch whatever hockey game is on or other sporting event.

The Westchester Knicks are a minor league team affiliated with the New York Knicks but since it's beginning only one player has made it to the Knicks and it was a short stay .Took my godson to also his first game and he loved it as well, ticket prices are under 60 bucks for the best seats and the place holds about 5000 seats which means , anywhere you sit , you will have a great view of the court and all the action .Most players will play overseas or for a foreign league which is not the NBA but most can make a good living playing overseas . Concession prices are reasonable and staff are friendly and helpful including the county security. If you can't make a visit to see the Knicks at the garden , a visit to white plains for the Westchester Knicks is second best .

It was our first time watching and there are some solid players for sure. The hype people at the game edge fun for the kids. The was incredibly close up until the last second making for an edge of your seat game. Unfortunately the arena did not have many fans. It's a shame because this is a definite plus to the area. I hope it picks up attendance. Instagram @datenightcraves

My sophomore year I was in a room with bad heat and no insulation in a place where the snow got so bad they had to shut the college down for a few days! When my roommates boyfriend sent me emails telling me to kill myself, I reported it to my RA who told me to try and suck it up as she was leaving for Study abroad next semester. When I was rush to the hospital with what turned out to be kidney stones, campus safety first told me it was just food poisoning because they had had 3 cases that week. Never mind that the head of the French department spoke French as a THIRD Language and the heads of the theater department had the lowest ratings on Rate my Professor. I am sad that this place is clearly a commuter college, disguised to look like a traditional school.

Also, financial aid was extremely generous. I think of it fondly and still donate to show my gratitude. It may not have the cache of an Ithaca, a Cornell, or another hot east coast school, but Manhattanville was more than a college for me, and I can not say that about many institutions. Bravo!
