    Jets 2023 pre-season parking pass
    Winny L.

Been here to watch pre-season football games for Jets and once so for the regular season...always good to purchase tickets early to get better seats. Luckily I get to go watch with a season ticket holder the last year. If coming see the Jets play, make sure to arrive early especially for parking. Jets fans are super loud and hopefully a better season...with the new QB. Don't forget to visit the team store for the latest merchandise! Security and bag policy: Please follow the policy and know before you arrive. Clear bags that are 12" x 6" x 12" or smaller or Small purses/handbags (clutch-type bags) that are 4.5" x 6.5" or smaller. You can bring in one factory sealed plastic bottle of water or soft drink 20 oz or smaller. Can also bring food if you don't want to purchase at the stadium.

Since their first season in 1960, the New York Jets have been a sub-500 team. Generally, not good, but the team is popular and they've won a Super Bowl. At the time of writing this review, there are at least a dozen active teams in the NFL without a single Super Bowl appearance or victory, so the Jets have that going for them. The Jets haven't made the playoffs since 2010. The team had an exceptional stretch from the 1998 through 2010 seasons that included seven playoff appearances in 12 years. That period was capped off with two straight appearances in the AFC Championship game under then-head coach Rex Ryan. Bill Parcells, Herm Edwards, and Eric Mangini were responsible for other Jets playoff appearances during that time. Player highlights included linebacker Jonathan Vilma winning the 2004 Defensive Rookie of the Year award and quarterback Chad Pennington winning the 2006 Comeback Player of the Year award. Speaking of Jets players who have won awards, in 1995, defensive end Hugh Douglas won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award and quarterback Boomer Esiason won the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award (for his volunteer/charity work). Coincidentally, both Douglas and Esiason went into broadcasting after their playing careers were over. I've listened to both of them for years on the radio (sports talk). I regularly listen to Hugh on his morning show with former CNN/Headline News/Fox Sports Radio anchor/host John Fricke on 92.9 The Game (WZGC-FM) in Atlanta. It's called "The Morning Show with John & Hugh." I listened to Boomer Esiason most when he worked for Westwood One. Hall-of-Famer Joe Namath is the most famous and legendary Jet. He led the Jets to victory over the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III in 1969 (1968 season). At that time, the Jets were coached by Weeb Ewbank and the Colts were coached by Don Shula. Ewbank has been the only head coach to win a Super Bowl with the Jets. Shula went on to become the winningest head coach in NFL history. Namath was named Super Bowl III MVP, AFL (now AFC) MVP in 1968 and 1969, and he had his jersey number - No. 12 - retired by the franchise in 1985. He played 12 of his 13 years in pro football for the Jets. The Jets' home is MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. The Jets, who play in the AFC, have shared the stadium with the NFC's New York Giants since the stadium opened in 2010. With an official seating capacity of 82,500, MetLife Stadium is the biggest venue in the league. The Jets have a new head coach as of 2021. Early this year, Robert Saleh signed a five-year contract to coach the team. It's his first NFL head coaching job. He last worked as the San Francisco 49ers' defensive coordinator. His last college football coaching job was as a defensive assistant for Mark Richt at Georgia in 2005. ESPN's Booger McFarland said the Jets were the winners after the first day of the 2021 NFL Draft. In the first round, the Jets selected Zach Wilson (QB out of BYU) and Alijah Vera-Tucker (OG out of USC) with the Nos. 2 and 14 overall picks, respectively.

New York Jets Football The New York Jets are a professional American football team based in the New York metropolitan area. The Jets compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's American Football Conference (AFC) East division. These days the Jets play their home games at MetLife Stadium. I watch them on TV. I've never been to see a live game. I wouldn't call myself a huge Jets fan. I have family members that are big fans. The Jets didn't have any wins in 2020. Then 12/20/20 they win and lose #1 draft pick Trevor from Clemson! They should have kept the losing streak!!! The team was founded in 1959 as the Titans of New York, an original member of the American Football League (AFL). Later, the franchise joined the NFL in the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. Under new ownership the current name was adopted in 1963. Sonny Werblin, saved the team from bankruptcy by purchasing the lowly Titans for $1 million. Werblin renamed the team the New York Jets since the team would play in Shea Stadium near LaGuardia Airport. Just for your information. You're welcome. To me the most famous Jets player is Joe Namath. Given name Joseph William Namath, nicknamed "Broadway Joe" He is an American former professional football player. Now he does irritating Medicare Commercials! He was a quarterback in the American Football League and National Football League during the 1960s and 1970s. He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide under coach Paul "Bear" Bryant from 1962 to 1964. My photo of Joe was taken by me from a wall photo at my local Midnight Express Diner. They have Good food and great wall decor. Look them up on Yelp! I'm not one of those that has a lot of opinions about why they're playing so horrible. I just figured maybe someone is getting a tax write off for losing all the money they invested! Win or lose they're New York. I always think of West Side Story, 'when you're a Jet you're a Jet all the way'. I hope they survive this slump. More like pitfall!

Had an amazing time at 2024 NFL Draft: Day 1 at MetLife Stadium last night. Congrats to @nyjets draft pick Fashanu who only allowed one sack in 29 games for Penn State.

I am a complex sports fan that was born in NYC. Most NY fans are either Yankees and Giants fans who have had their recent years of success and then there are Mets and Jets fans. I am a Yankee and Jets fan, so I am not always cringing in defeat or slightly damaged from the belief that the Jets will win a Superbowl again in my time. Jets fans will all agree, it could be quite painful at times watching a NY Jets game. But when the Jets are driving the ball down the field with ease, Jet fans like myself put behind everything that is bad and stand up for their team with nothing but pride. We also need a younger generation of Jets fans that have not been through the years suffering that the baby boomers have gone through. There positive waves will drive this team forward, I am convinced. It just a matter of time that we will have our day and walk standing straight being proud we are a Jets fan. I am a true believer.

    J-E-T-S! Jets! Jets! Jets!

Like my New York Mets review. I'm loyal to my underdog teams. The Jets have always been second banana to The Giants and that's fine. That's the way it is with things that are popular and successful. With that said there is nothing like when your team that no one expects much of and may not be the strongest in the league rise up and turn on the heat just for one game. It's far and few between for Mean green unfortunately but this is where the loyalty comes in. Like The Mets, I inherited the fandom from good ol' dad and stand by them as he does. Though the team has been mired by poor management, mediocre quarterbacks, questionable and objectionable coaching, blown talent, bad off season decision, and the unrelenting dominance of the Patriots and more. What do you do though? You get in there root for them anyway! Let's go Jets!

The New York Jets the AFC East. Yelp Challenge 71/100. I'm glad Todd Bowels got a chance to coach, he's definitely going to have the D playing good. Revis and Cromartie are back together again. They're are going to be fun to watch. I'm not excited about the offense at all, the past several years you guys had Mark "Dirty Sanchez" , Tim Tebow, Michael Vick and now Geno Smith. Screw it just make it simple for him. Run 40 times a game and make Smith only throw 10 times a game. I think he should be able to handle that. But Vick and Tebow could do that for you guys as well. So that's not saying much about Geno Smith. Until you guys really make a name for yourselves, you'll always be the Giants little brother. Ugh the Bills, well that's like a cousin by marriage or something lol. Vincent D aka VD aka Vebola aka Vincent Vega. Always, Enjoying the simple things in life.

Today I made arrangements with my teammates to go to the batting cages. Only four of us were available for practice and going to a field would have been kind of useless. So I went on Yelp and began to look up nearby locations and this is the first place that popped up. Took a moment to look at their rates and was pretty impressed with what I found. Great place to keep in mind if I ever have a kid because the staff is full of professionals with prior baseball and softball experience. Early this morning i made a reservation and I took a deal today which was $50 for one hour. With the $50, you get one lane and can have up to six people with you. Once inside I went to the register in the front. Payment was easy and the man helping us was extremely nice. Everything was all set up for us when we arrived. The guy at the register was more than happy to also adjust the machine to our needs whenever we needed it. I liked this as opposed to a regular batting cage because you have the ability to adjust the pitch. In total, there are four lanes inside the facility. For an hour the four of us were able to take more than enough swings (it wound up being only $12 a person). I was kind of disappointed we didn't bring gloves because we could have even thrown around a little bit! Next time! The one thing I would like to point out is that facility is not for individual use while batting. You need someone with you to feed the pitches to you. All and all, I consider this place a homerun! I will be more than happy to return in the future!

My buddy and I went here yesterday to get some swings in before softball season. We were able to switch between soft toss and taking swings from a machine. We liked the setup, as we were able to control the tempo and # of swings we wanted to take, vs. being at the mercy of a timed machine. $25 for a half hour, $50 for an hour. Pretty solid deal. Online reservations made it pretty easy. Not for solo users - you'll need someone there to feed the machine or soft toss pitches to you. If you're on your own, I suggest calling ahead to see if the owner is available to support you. Union City Parking can be tough, but you're allowed to park right alongside the Hudson Baseball facility on 23rd street (right before you get to Summit). I believe they own those spots, which is pretty clutch.

The line to get inside, the line for pictures, and even trying to find our seating created a very chaotic atmosphere. We made a reservation for 9 people but were seated for 8, which resulted in two children having to share a chair. That was disappointing and felt unfair, especially considering the cost of the experience. The show itself was entertaining and the host was very kind, but the food was just mediocre. The potato was dry, and the chicken was unevenly seasoned -- one section had an overwhelming amount of seasoning while other parts had very little. For the amount of money spent, everything felt just "okay" rather than worth the price. Leaving the venue was also stressful. Guests for the next show were entering while our crowd was trying to exit, causing everyone to crash into each other and making the experience feel even more chaotic. Overall, the kids enjoyed themselves, but as an adult, the entire experience was overstimulating and not something I would personally rush to do again.
