The most god awful franchise in the NFL. A horrible owner (Woody Johnson), clueless management, terrible head coach (pretty much every year), mainly inept group of players year in and year out with few standouts, 15th year in a row with no playoff experiences, 10th straight losing season, and the future looks bleak. Justin Fields is not the answer- he seems to be slow and he sucks and he can't make plays. He has been on 5 teams in three years for a reason. If you have a seat in the mid or lower bowl, you'll likely have a much better experience--clearer sight lines, more immersive sound, etc. The stadium is large, so arriving early helps. It gives time to navigate entrances, security, and concessions before crowds swell. read more

Been here to watch pre-season football games for Jets and once so for the regular season...always good to purchase tickets early to get better seats. Luckily I get to go watch with a season ticket holder the last year. If coming see the Jets play, make sure to arrive early especially for parking. Jets fans are super loud and hopefully a better season...with the new QB. Don't forget to visit the team store for the latest merchandise! Security and bag policy: Please follow the policy and know before you arrive. Clear bags that are 12" x 6" x 12" or smaller or Small purses/handbags (clutch-type bags) that are 4.5" x 6.5" or smaller. You can bring in one factory sealed plastic bottle of water or soft drink 20 oz or smaller. Can also bring food if you don't want to purchase at the stadium. read more

Since their first season in 1960, the New York Jets have been a sub-500 team. Generally, not good, but the team is popular and they've won a Super Bowl. At the time of writing this review, there are at least a dozen active teams in the NFL without a single Super Bowl appearance or victory, so the Jets have that going for them. The Jets haven't made the playoffs since 2010. The team had an exceptional stretch from the 1998 through 2010 seasons that included seven playoff appearances in 12 years. That period was capped off with two straight appearances in the AFC Championship game under then-head coach Rex Ryan. Bill Parcells, Herm Edwards, and Eric Mangini were responsible for other Jets playoff appearances during that time. Player highlights included linebacker Jonathan Vilma winning the 2004 Defensive Rookie of the Year award and quarterback Chad Pennington winning the 2006 Comeback Player of the Year award. Namath was named Super Bowl III MVP, AFL (now AFC) MVP in 1968 and 1969, and he had his jersey number - No. 12 - retired by the franchise in 1985. He played 12 of his 13 years in pro football for the Jets. The Jets' home is MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. The Jets, who play in the AFC, have shared the stadium with the NFC's New York Giants since the stadium opened in 2010. Early this year, Robert Saleh signed a five-year contract to coach the team. It's his first NFL head coaching job. He last worked as the San Francisco 49ers' defensive coordinator. His last college football coaching job was as a defensive assistant for Mark Richt at Georgia in 2005. I am a complex sports fan that was born in NYC. Most NY fans are either Yankees and Giants fans who have had their recent years of success and then there are Mets and Jets fans. I am a Yankee and Jets fan, so I am not always cringing in defeat or slightly damaged from the belief that the Jets will win a Superbowl again in my time. Jets fans will all agree, it could be quite painful at times watching a NY Jets game. But when the Jets are driving the ball down the field with ease, Jet fans like myself put behind everything that is bad and stand up for their team with nothing but pride. We also need a younger generation of Jets fans that have not been through the years suffering that the baby boomers have gone through. There positive waves will drive this team forward, I am convinced. It just a matter of time that we will have our day and walk standing straight being proud we are a Jets fan. Like my New York Mets review. I'm loyal to my underdog teams. The Jets have always been second banana to The Giants and that's fine. That's the way it is with things that are popular and successful. With that said there is nothing like when your team that no one expects much of and may not be the strongest in the league rise up and turn on the heat just for one game. It's far and few between for Mean green unfortunately but this is where the loyalty comes in. Like The Mets, I inherited the fandom from good ol' dad and stand by them as he does. They're are going to be fun to watch. I'm not excited about the offense at all, the past several years you guys had Mark "Dirty Sanchez" , Tim Tebow, Michael Vick and now Geno Smith. Screw it just make it simple for him. Run 40 times a game and make Smith only throw 10 times a game. I think he should be able to handle that. But Vick and Tebow could do that for you guys as well. So that's not saying much about Geno Smith. Until you guys really make a name for yourselves, you'll always be the Giants little brother. I guess this is more of a review of the stadium/parking/transportation rather than the team itself. This was my 15 Opening Day in a row, and it was great. Getting there, getting back to Queens, not so great. One of my buddies lives in NJ, so he was able to pick me and another friend up at Newark Penn and we drove over to the stadium. We got there around 9:30, set up shop, and proceeded to tailgate. Beers, some food good music, overall fun time. I had preferred parking with my tix, so we parked in lot E. My seats were good, section 244. Season tix thru my company that gave me access to the club behind our seats, where I hung out most of the game. The seats are in the middle of the row and between going for beers, to the bathroom or for a smoke, it was just easier to stay in the club. Prices for beers in the club are high. $12 for a Guinesss, but I guess that is to be expected. The new stadium is pretty non-discript. I go back to the Shea days, and loved it there since it's only 10 minutes away from me, and the new Meadowlands is just basically Giants Stadium with another name. It is nice, if not a little cheesy, that they call it Jets Stadium on game day. Of course by sharing it with Giants, it's called Giants Stadium when they play there. Whatever, it's basically just a cookie cutter football stadium with no real personality yet. Granted, very nice, modern, just no real "buzz" when you get there. Getting back to Queens is a nightmare after games. The trains suck, overcrowded, not a real schedule, mass confusion, so, the best bet is driving, which isn't that great as well. The last two years, me and a friend actually grabbed a cab from the Stadium for $100 and it was worth it. Anyway, four stars for the Jets and tailgate. Getting there and back is a nightmare unless you drive and are from NJ. Trains are not that good. Who knows if the bus still runs from Port Authority. I will be watching the next games from home. One trip a year to the swamps of NJ is enough for me. See ya Opening Day 2015... read more

I think Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jennifer Lawrence are all huge fans. Oh wait, no, that's the New York Jens. First-Hand Experience: I've only seen the Jets play in Buffalo and Foxboro, and it was awesome because we (Buffalo and New England) beat them. I'm not a big fan, to say the least. I thought they didn't put up much of a fight and were a very defensive and also disjointed team. Now that I've seen every NFL team play live & been to every NFL stadium (current and former), time to review them on Yelp! I love stadiums! I've been to every cool stadium in the UK & North America, due to my obsession with travel & sport. I've toured America as a musician for 7 years. In that time, I've seen sports games at (or visited when empty, or both) almost every major stadium in US and Canada. I have pictures of most which I'll upload at some point. The one with Henry on it. Always liked them. Yankees are ew, Giants are ew, and the Jets may be my least fave of all. I never seem to like their QBs except for Chad Pennington... I never seem to like many of their players... I don't like NY sports fans, they are too aggressive and angry and mean, and that goes for both Giants and Jets. They boo their own teams too frequently. I don't like the Jets owner, and the fans don't either, I think. I don't like that they share a stadium because I think the team needs its own identity. No other teams share in this league. If they moved to the west side of Manhattan I'd have raised them a bit. Oh and I'm a Bills fan so I'm supposed to not like the Jets. BTW too many good things to eat in NY area but my faves are the Surena Arepa from Caracas Arepa, and the Garlicky Pizza at Sunnyside in Queens, and the pizza at Luigi's on 5th in Brooklyn, and the Cholado Prontito at Jugos Prontito in Queens, and the Combo Plate with X Sauce at Sammy's Halal Cart right near it in Queens... and Hummus World (Shawafel) out on Long Island. Oh and probably the best Gyro in America is at Gyro King in the Bronx. Wafles & Dinges is great too. Mamoun's. Royal Bakery on Nostrand in Brooklyn. Dun-Well and Doughnut Plant. Ess-A-Bagel. I have been going to Jet games for about 30 years. They have provided thrill and chills but most of all a sense of community with people I hardly knew. Some of the most memorable times with my friends have been in the parking lots of Giants Stadium and MetLife Stadium. Sadly, I've never seen a home playoff game, never saw them in the Super Bowl. I certainly had a marvelous experience visiting this stadium. My team, The Jets, WON! My only complaint is the stadium size is so large it's hard to find the right parking lot. We dined at Redd's Restaurant & Biergarten beforehand and used their shuttle to take us to the game. Definitely a Plus as they dropped us off and picked us up at the end. Thank you Jets for the steelers first win of the season. Parking was a but chaotic, no one knew where our section was. So we drove all over before we actually found the area on our own. Tailgating was great, jets fans are great compared to eagles fans. Felt the love from the green and white. Kids playing football, the smell of charcoal, great times! The stadium was large, a lot of empty seats. Bathrooms were beyond gross and I had low expectation. I could see us coming back up here because the commute back to Philly is a lot better than driving across the state of PA. read more

Average NFL Franchise. Current regime is based of attention and hype than play on the field. As long as they are a franchise in the Greater NY area, they will be the junior varsity team. In order to be considered different than it's varsity counterparts, its big mistake was not landing the stadium deal in Manhattan that could have changed the direction of the franchise. WARNING: DO NOT BUY SEASON TICKETS Games are mostly unsaleable on the secondary markets for the games you can't go to. Invariably, game tickets can be bought on Stub Hub for far less than face value PSL payments will get you nothing other than a 15 year commitment to keep paying for nothing AND season tickets at full prices. I bought tickets in 2011 after being lied to by the rep and this has been a source of distress as the PSL is unsaleable and I am forced to go the stadium and sit in seats in the end zone with no hope of escaping for another 10 years. You are forced to buy two pre season games at prices you can get for 5-10% of face value on the secondary market ST Holder customer service is abysmal. Their attitude is that this is pro football and you are lucky to have them sell you tickets. It takes quite some time to get e-mails answered and often they misunderstand the question and you get some canned answer that doesn't fit the issue. They do not hesitate to call you and try to sell you something though. The best seats can only be afforded by well to do people. The "clubs: caused them to elevate all the decks so you are very far away from the action so far that The only privilege a ST holder gets is this awful rewards program which is so aggravating and insulting that I'm too angry to even discuss it here There are several alternatives: Buy tickets on the secondary market for much less money and choose only the games you want to go to WITHOUT PAYING A VALUELESS PSL PAYMENT All of this for very poor product. 52 years following this team and all we have to show for our time is 1 lucky Super Bowl and many years of mediocrity Of any consumer product I have ever dealt with, the Jets are the worst value, worst quality and worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. NYJ fans are truly great. Way better than going to a Knicks game or a Yankees game where they only get into it if the home team is winning. Sometimes it sucks being a Jets fan, not this year though. They are playing much better than I think anyone thought and going to a game is always a blast. I will say, as far as the stadium goes, I like the old stadium better. It was much easier to get to your seats if you were in the top section. The new stadium makes you basically go through each level (passing concession stands as you go) before you get to the upper level seats. The buffet at this place has excellent, there is stone crab claws, sushi, steak, dessert, raw bar, ice cream, a wide selection of cheese, and a variety of food from different culture. The stadium seats are comfortable and the parking lot is huge. My favorite part is getting to watch the Jets practice while you sit behind a glass window watching them. read more

Besides being the best football team, their new facility is state of the art. I have sat in many different seats but my favorite in 115 come along with access to the coaches club. The coaches club offer such a wide range of food there is no way to leave hungry. They offer options such as your typical hamburgers and hot dogs but even further with steak, frittatas, flatbreads, sushi, chicken, carving stations, really everything you could think of. Even more awesome is they feature a different chef each game from local restaurants. This past weekend featured smoked turkey and fixings from Hill Country bbq in NYC, and it was ammmmmmmmazing! The lines for restrooms are ridiculous. My son couldn't hold it we had to use Porto johns outside and then weren't allowed in. I'm a season ticket holder who paid $16,000 in licensing fees who the Jets could care less about. Such a shame!
