While in New York City, it's a bucket list to go to Yankee Stadium and catch a game. It all worked out because the day we arrived, there was a game against Seattle Mariners, so I checked out seat Geek and bought tickets I scored some really great seats along the third base line near the foul pole. With excellent seats, we needed some excellent food to go along with those seats. I looked up best places to eat at Yankee Stadium and it directed me to Kings Hawaiian Lobster Rolls. There we also got the Pretzel Bun 99 burger, chicken parm sando and Pastrami French fries at Lodel's. For dessert we tried the popular mini chicken ice cream. Stopped by the Yankees Stadium to watch Jay-Z. He did make a Yankees hat more famous than a Yankee can ;-p. Yankees Stadium is just legendary. It has a great set up BUT the execution of entering for a concert was REALLY REALLY disorganized. Me and my family sat in SECTION 420 but that was by far one of the best seats ever. Okay baseball fans, don't kill me now. This was my first time visiting this stadium and I was there to see Jiggaman, Hov aka Jay-Z. lol. The crowd to get in was unreal with long lines. However, it was organized and the lines moved fast. I was there on night 2 so there were no delays or mishaps that I witnessed. We went through metal detectors and then walked right in. The stadium is really beautiful with so many Yankee pictures and paraphernalia. They had a variety of food and drink stands. I made sure I ate before I came. However, I did purchase a bottle of water and a pretzel for $20. The line to get your snacks was a longer wait than the line to get inside the stadium. I had nosebleed seats in section 400 but I was in row 1and I had an amazing view since no one was in front of me. Surprisingly, there were a lot of empty seats in my area. The seats were shockingly comfortable because my knees weren't in pain. On our way out, I loved the walk down ramp like walkway which is better than stairs and allots more people to exit. I would like to return to see an actual Yankee game and check out more of the stadium which was hard to do at this concert. read more

When it comes to ballparks, Yankees stadium is beautiful. Is it better than Camden Yards...NO!! But I'm from Baltimore so I might be a little bias lol. To be honest I was there for a game. I was here for Jay Z!! The park has a few great food vendors and actually reasonably priced meal deals. The price and quality of the food was probably the most pleasant surprise. Built in 2009 to replace the prior, this is a lovely stadium accessible by the 4 and B/D trains. They have a few good views and big concourses. Home of the NY Yankees, of course. The facility bathrooms were crowded at various points, but intra-inning you were ok. The Ford MVP Club - not worth much - while you have a bar, it was understaffed, and the food was just so-so (some better options outside). Free water, popcorn, soda, and peanuts but no bathroom of your own. Was "included" in the section 116 tickets but when you buy, recognize that you need to get a separate app to load the tickets on - not a fan of that at all. You get a bracelet so you can re-enter later. Fun was the No Tarp crowd that grew mid-game and was noisy even in a 2-9 loss to the Tigers. Ice cream in a little Yankees cap is fun, as is the bucket of chicken. The cups (shakers for some mixed drinks) and the stadium cup for a mixed Jim & diet were nice takeaways (plastic though). read more

Recently saw a game in section 325, row 3, seats 13-16 and thought the view was fantastic, especially for the ticket price! Food-wise, I had a very good and moist pretzel from the kosher cart, and meh pizza from the Colony Grill (hot oil pie was better than the cheese pie), and I was happy to see The Hala Guys cart, although I didn't try the falafel this time. I was a little annoyed that there was only one place to get a veggie burger in the whole stadium (and I have to travel pretty far for it) and the beer prices were criminal, but the drink prices, shitttttttttttttttt. read more

Let's go Yankees! It's been 10 years since my husband and I watched a game here. This visit was extra special because we got to take our boys to their first MLB game. It was our Yankees vs the Dodgers! What a beautiful stadium. We got great seats on field level and we ate all the good stuff. Food we ordered was AMAZING! This review is specifically for the first of Jay-Z's three concert dates at Yankee Stadium, not for a Yankees game. The biggest issue of the night was the organization. There was a lot of confusion getting fans with floor tickets to the correct entrance, receiving the proper wristbands, and finding the GA pit area versus VIP Pit. Doors opened at 6:00 p.m., but despite arriving on time, I wasn't able to reach the pit until nearly an hour later because of the disorganization. Once the concert got underway, things improved. The sound system was excellent, drinks were decent, and the performance made the wait worthwhile. Leaving the stadium, however, was another challenge. The crowds were overwhelming, with what felt like everyone heading toward the nearest McDonald's, creating major congestion outside the venue. Thankfully, the subway was quick, efficient, and made getting back to Times Square much easier. Overall, the concert itself was great, but the poor crowd management before and after the show took away from what should have been a much smoother experience. read more

As a lifelong Yankee fan waiting YEARS to see the new digs, I was shocked and appalled how hard it was to literally just *gain entry* to the stadium. this is a multibillion-dollar organization and they can't figure out how to move fans through? just appalling really. nobody knew which gate we should go to despite having higher-tier seats. once finally inside, the place markings were a joke--"guest services" was a rando area that was NOT MARKED BY ANY SIGNS. guys, you need to do better with all of this. the food was okay and of course pricey, and some of the folks were nice enough. but everything was overpriced and, for example, we had to decide if waiting on a huge line to see Monument Park was worth it. we decided it wasn't, despite paying top dollar for it. we were in the upper deck and had a great view of the game, but for real. with all the cash sloshing around that place you'd think they would figure things out better. come on. my Yanks clobbered the White Sox, but parts of our experience were far less fun. read more

As a Yankees fan, coming here was on my bucket list for a long time. Like a lot of others, I am a big fan of history and do wish that they kept the old stadium around...that being said our game day experience was pretty good! Our first order of business was visiting monument park right as gates opened at 5:30 since it closes before first pitch. Best access is entering in through Gate 8, and surprisingly there was no line for a Friday evening game! This is a must for any baseball fan and you can see all of the retired Yankee numbers along with a monument plaque for greats. We also had a good field and dining experience. Tried the angry lobster roll, grub and tub chicken bucket, and ice cream chicken bucket. The chicken was alright, nothing too amazing but it is a lot of fries and a good amount of tendies. Pretty decent value for $23 since it comes with a souvenir drink. Lobster roll was great! I really liked the seasoning, and it came with a side of chips too. The real highlight was the ice cream chicken bucket! The hype is real with this one! Each drumstick was made intricately with yummy cornflake coating and the chocolate pretzel bone is a great touch. Seating in the 212 section was pretty fun. The Yanks are doing great right now so the energy in the crowd was amazing. We went crazy during Ben Rice's homer! Only downside was some people got a bit too crazy and threw up right behind my wife's seat...not great but it is what it is I guess. We enjoyed walking around the stadium, talking to fans, and taking in all the different views while getting our food. The one thing I'd say is that while our experience was good, can't help but feel the stadium lacks a bit of character. The concourse is just okay compared to most other modern stadiums, and there aren't many things other than monument park and the Yankee museum that make the place stand out. The great hall is cool, but you don't really spend much time there. It's a good stadium, but I feel like there were some missed opportunities during construction that could have put it in the upper echelon of MLB ballparks. read more

The Yankees Home opener against the Marlins was a great way to spend the day on my youngest's first visit to New York. The bar is set high for ball parks because Kyle was a baseball player(lefty/first baseman,a relief pitcher) who missed his Junior and Senior year during Covid. Although lifelong Giants fan, who gets frequent field access and fantastic seats because his dad is a sports medicine/ ortho specialist who once worked for the St Louis Cardinals( as well as the Rams and the Blues). I digress because I am me ( also nobody tell my deceased father that we were here because the lifelong Brooklyn Dodger fan would have been heartbroken! I would have given Yankee Stadium four stars , based on ease of access from the subway, cute concession stand souvenirs ( the stadium cup and chicken finger bucket are being fashioned into an Easter basket for my nephew!) and cleanliness of restrooms. Umm the fact that my favorite place on earth has never received a Yelp review from me is a shocking oversight. While it is not the same as the original, the new one is still special. Make sure to get here well ahead of game time so you can enjoy things like the Yankees Hall of Fame, Monument Park, and for a fee you can even take a tour of the stadium. There are lots of great options for sit down dining such as Hard Rock if you have extra time to kill. There is also a huge assortment of gift shops, and many have different things from the others. If you are a true fan, there is lots of pieces of history placed throughout worth viewing. I have been seated in many areas, just do your research beforehand about views. Once in your life, its worth sitting in the bleachers just for the atmosphere. But honestly there is no atmosphere like the Stadium itself. Easy to get to via subway and lots of signage to help direct people. Always improving the food and switching it up for us, listening to fans and making the experience better. Well staffed and have never had a problem here for the most part. Maybe an app would be nice for regulars to download to navigate the stadium and hit all the spots? Normally we go for some margaritas with the souvenir cups (so cute), and the chicken and fry bucket (I can never finish this), but the last time we went in for some jalapeño pizza which was great. Baseball in the Bronx. Caught the Yankees vs. Phillies game on a scorcher of a summer afternoon, despite the blistering heat, it was still an awesome experience. I was in section 320B, pretty solid view for being in the terrace level. You're just about behind home plate, high enough to see the whole field clearly without feeling a mile away. Theres a bit of shade in the later innings if you're lucky. Stadium vibes were on point. Packed crowd, lots of energy, and the usual mix of die hard fans, tourists, and people just there for the hot dogs and beer. Food wise, I got the 99 burger, waited 35 minutes for it. Wasn't actually worth the hype. Pretty dry. I got the Colony Grill Pizza with hot oil as well. Was pretty tasty. Thin and charred, with a nice kick of spice.
