My company booked this place for a corporate event. It was a fun way to have a team building experience with coworkers. We ordered food and had seating in a private room as there were 30 of us. For the race you're not allowed to intentionally bump others to get a lead otherwise the staff will slow down your vehicle. We visited K1 Speed on a Sunday, and it wasn't very busy--there were only about 20 customers there. That was a huge plus because we were able to get on the track just minutes after paying. Originally, we were scheduled to race with a large group, but we asked if it would be possible to race with just the three of us. The employee helping us was kind enough to move us to a different race. We didn't mind waiting a little longer, and we really appreciated that accommodation. After our first race, we waited just a few minutes while another group raced, and then it was our turn again. The main reason I'm giving 3 stars is the price. For three people to race twice, plus the required license fees, it came to almost $200. That's a lot for a relatively short activity. Another reason for the rating was the customer service from some of the staff. At one point, we asked a group of employees for assistance, and instead of helping, they kept telling each other for the other to help. It didn't seem like anyone wanted to take responsibility. A little more teamwork and willingness to help customers would go a long way. Overall, the racing itself was fun, and I appreciated the employee who accommodated our request to race as our own group. If the pricing were more reasonable and the customer service more consistent, I'd have a much better experience. read more

I came to K1 Speed earlier tonight hoping to have a good time. My wife accompanied me, and initially I thought everything would go smoothly. Unfortunately, that was not the case. When I arrived, I was informed that the wait time for my first race would be over an hour. I accepted that and decided to order food while I waited. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, the food arrived undercooked and incomplete. I returned it and requested a refund rather than canceling my visit entirely because I still wanted to participate in the races. When I finally got into my first race, there was an issue with my kart. The problem was eventually corrected, and I completed the race. However, during the second race, the kart failed completely. I started the race in a leading position, but my kart stopped functioning and effectively ended my race. At that point, I requested a refund because I do not believe it is acceptable to pay premium prices for an experience where the equipment is not operating properly. The karts should be maintained and race ready, especially in a competitive environment where lap times and performance records are an important part of the experience. I come to K1 Speed because I enjoy racing and competing, not because I want to spend my time dealing with equipment failures. I have spent a significant amount of money with K1 Speed over time and generally enjoy racing on your tracks. That is why I was particularly disappointed with this location. In my experience, other K1 Speed locations maintain a much higher standard. Additionally, the condition of the bathrooms was below expectations. For example, water was coming out of the flush button when it was pressed, which is clearly a maintenance issue that needs attention. I genuinely enjoy K1 Speed and would like to continue visiting. My recommendation is that this location receive additional attention regarding maintenance, cleanliness, and equipment reliability. There appear to be operational issues that need to be addressed. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to bring this location up to the standard I have experienced at other K1 Speed venues. read more

First time at this place, and probably the last. I wouldn't recommend it. The speed cars looked fun, and my son was excited to play in the arcade, but unfortunately about half of the games were broken and very expensive. We ended up losing money and my son very frustrated, and many of them still didn't function properly. I really can't recommend the arcade area. The employees were not very helpful and in thhe rude side and told us they didn't know how to repair the machines. I'm sure this place pays a high rent, so they should invest more in customer service and maintenance. Businesses like this succeed through word-of-mouth recommendations, and sadly this was not a good experience for us. I can't recommend. read more

Went to another birthday party here and it was awesome. The kids love it, there wasn't a lot of other people there so it was nice to have the kids go race quickly without having to wait. The guys who were helping the kids went over the instructions thoroughly, made sure the helmets fit correctly and made sure they were buckled in. I brought my sons here for one of their birthdays. My youngest is 50" tall, the minimum is 48". He got geared up and went out and sat in a kart and was as told he couldn't race because he couldn't hit the brake pedal. He absolutely 100% was fully capable of braking (he has raced at other K1s before) and now I have to explain to my son, who's 2" above the height requirement, who can hit the brakes without issue, why he can't race. I went to get a refund and the other worker apologized and said the person that denied him is ridiculous... read more

Fun idea but the ladies in the front need a super strong lesson on customer service. The young lady I dealt with ignored me and helped another customer without even acknowledging my presence. Asked my son what he wanted to do for his birthday celebration and he mentioned that he wants to do in door cart racing. Took my son here to celebrate. We came on a Sunday afternoon. This is our first time here so didn't know what to expect. After talking to the friendly staff, we were told to use the computer terminal to create an account and sign in. Once we were done signing the waiver on the computer, we were ready to buy the different race packages with the staff at the counter. My daughter, wife, and I purchased the one race package, while my son got the 3-races package. Since this is our first time here, we all had to purchase the driving license in order to race. These driving licenses are valid for one year from the time of purchase. So if you come back again to race, you don't have to purchase the license again. And the license is valid at any of their K1 Speed locations. We were each given a face mask. And we're told to wait until they call our names when it's our turn to race. Luckily there were not many racers there, so we didn't have to wait very long before they call us up. They asked us if we race here before and showed us the racing rules, and how to operate the race car. Once the briefing was done, we got to select our racing helmets. There are several different sizes of helmets to choose from. Just pick the size that fits comfortably for your head. They then guide us to our cars. After everyone is strapped in, it was time to race. Wow, it was so much fun zooming down the track, turning corners, accelerate, slowing down, etc. It was so much fun. I don't remember the exact numbers, but I think we did more than 10 laps around the track. After the checker flag was waved, the race is over. And we all have to pull back inside the pit area. We then head over to the front desk area where they provided us our race stat sheets to see how we did for each lap, and the overall time, and how we rank among other racers. My son got to do two more races while we watched him. He did better each race. Overall, we all had a blast! read more

Fun, but overpriced. You only get so many laps and when they're not slowing all the cars down every 5 minutes due to some knucklehead crashing into a wall or stalling out, time rushes past. Unfortunately, they do slow the cars down often enough that it impedes the pleasure of racing. Perhaps they shouldn't mix kids and adults. Too expensive to justify going often. read more

Went again a few days later. The staff was great and I was put in a better kart that didn't have power drops like last time. Definitely going back to this location a few more times and to beat my time. Update: August 29th Did two races. Power loss in the first kart and they switched it out for another one that work fine. Second race: Kart 36. Disgusting power loss to the point the kart will turtle. Brakes were loud af too and were very soft. Didn't want to stop the race for being a diva so just felt with it. DO NOT BOOK YOUR PARTY HERE! I paid $100 per person for a party at this location. They threw 30 of us in a room the size of a closet, so no one fit and was hanging out in the hallway. We arrived and we were ready to race at 4pm, and didn't get called to start our first race until 515, with absolutely nothing to do in the meantime. I asked for our game cards that were included in the package, and was given empty cards. They didn't give us 2 of our pizzas, 2 platters of wings, and an order of sliders. They didn't a shift change and the new shift was clueless we even existed. A completely overpriced awful experience. read more

I had a very disappointing experience due to the manager's (Kayla)behavior. Instead of being helpful or respectful, Kayla was rude and dismissive when I raised a concern. Good customer service should involve listening and professionalism, neither of which were shown. I hope management addresses this, as it reflects poorly on the business. I've been here before but today I received amazing customer service by Brenda. She was really sweet and accommodating to the questions I had for my son. She always had a smile on her face! This facility is really clean and I am impressed with the inside of the warehouse. Parking lot isn't bad at all we always find parking. My son really enjoys the racetrack and the go kart that after his first time here he already made it a hobby! Formerly known as Pole Position, this go-kart speedway has very recently changed ownership. Same physical location on the corner, it is in a cluster of industrial buildings. We had our two grandkids in tow, looking for great activities to keep us grandparents idolized, loved, and adored, while it was a rare date night for their parents. Myself having no prior experience with this kind of trendy entertainment, this was a learning experience for me as their official Guardian. Because of their young age, consents and waivers must be signed by responsible adults first. They also must meet standards for height. Full of questions about what exactly we were paying for, we finally figured out we had purchased a 1 year membership for each of our grandkids, under $8 each for a full year. And that gets you in the door. Then the reality sets in. It does not cover your go-kart rental. You must then figure out how many races to credit to each child's account. We decided on two races each. It's not cheap entertainment; the two race package ran $49 per kid. There are multiple options, probably better bargains the greater number of races you purchase, but we were first timers, so we held back. Our two are ages 8 and 10, and I believe one race runs for about 10 minutes for a "Junior" racer. Because we came early on a Sunday morning, there was no crowd yet, so I think they actually were given a little extra time on their first run. They loved it, and wanted to do their second race immediately instead of saving it for another day. By then, there were 3 others that were in their age group, so the second race was a little more competitive. Squealing tires, crashing into the sides and spinning out on hairpin turns, and predictable bumping action between cars. It was all part of the fun. I was impressed with the raceway. It was very clean and seemed to be well managed. Staff made sure everyone was taught the rules, including the meaning of each of the flags that are used to signal the drivers. The safety gear is included with the rental, and the drivers are given a quick lesson on how to operate the vehicle. Staff keep a sharp eye on the racers, slowing down the cars to a stop if necessary using their own manual controls, able to immediately leap into the raceway and assist when there is a need. The go karts are electric, a definite plus; that keeps the drone down to a quite tolerable level, and the air quite breathable. The course is entirely indoors, in case lousy weather is your concern. And there is seating (stools, chairs, couches) for those of us in the peanut gallery. There is one pool table, several arcade games, and a small snack bar (that will also be selling alcoholic beverages, soon). There are multiple TVs for watching sports events, in case you are a multi-tasker. My 8 year old granddaughter, try as she may, could not convince the family that she had taken 1st Place as she thought. You see, everything is computerized. Before you leave, you can receive a printout of your personal race results which shows your standing in your group, and includes graphs, minute by minute, of your performance and times. This was a reality check, indisputable proof, and an opportunity to teach a valuable lesson in fact vs fantasy for her young, fiercely competitive mind. She got to learn all about the concept of being a winner by measuring her improvement as she becomes more experienced. You guessed it; we will be coming back for more checkered flag moments. read more

Cool for kids, if you're looking to set the track record then I suggest bringing a track suit and a custom helmet. It seems as though every time I've been here, without my own helmet, that my kart is limited on power. While I understand the safety concerns, it's a bit frustrating when you have other people passing you even though you've been on the throttle the entire race. Another thing they don't mention is that if and when someone spins out, instead of stopping the race, they'll slow everyone down which also ruins your average lap time. If you're taking your kid here for their birthday, great, but if you're like me and can't afford to go to a track or the felony charges for using the streets as a track, then this isn't the place for you. On the plus side, they did just open up K1 circuit, which is a bit pricier but looks like the karts aren't limited, so you actually get what you pay for. read more

This place has terrible customer service!!! All day I've called multiple times to ask how strict the height policy is because my son is 47 inches tall and online it says you need to be 48. Each time I called I waited over 30 minutes for someone to answer and no one did. My son really wanted to go so I thought I'd just wait until someone finally answers because I don't want to make the hour drive just to find out he won't be allowed to race! This time I waited A HOUR and at exactly one hour the call automatically hung up on me!!! I've wasted so much time of my day calling numerous times. Awful customer service! read more

Don't not let the unprofessionalism of having to deal with corporate office in Irvine when having to book the party make you change your mind because the people running Corona are freakin awesome!!!!! If I didn't have to deal with corporate not returning phone calls and not answering emails for days. Not answering questions for daysss and even requested a new person to handle my account but was denied and since I couldn't get my deposit back I couldn't cancel and had to just deal with it. CORPORATE needs to revamp their help. AWFUL. But to my surprise Corona freakin rocks and the staff in Corona are sweet caring and honestly made a bad planning experience turn right around. Kayla is the so chill and all about making life easier for us and treated my party so well!! And still handled the front desk with all its craziness! Joshua was soo good with all the kids and made the event memorable for them. Cole was the guy who helped us and was doing multiple tasks! Helping the kids in their cars with instructions and going up and helping with drinks. We planned a Christmas party weeks ahead for our little ones. Our racers were divided into 2 groups. The manager(Kayla O.) at this location knowingly decided to separate our group so that not 1 but 2 group of adults could race between our littles times. When she was asked why she separated us when we were here first;she was rude, and provided no reasoning as to her decision she said "yeah it was me I did that mmhmm". We got no apology, no reason and horrible customer service. The battery on the karts werTo top it off our food was brought out LATE. She (Kayla O.) made our experience the worst one possible. First time there. I took my 8 yr old nephew there. We registered and waited for about 45 minutes. He was nervous and I was a little nervous for my nephew too because they didn't let me help him put his head gear on and I could barely hear what she was instructing him but it seemed like a lot for an 8 year old, especially when it involves safety. It made me uncomfortable because I wanted to make sure he understood and I didn't ask but it seemed like I couldn't go into that area. He has long hair and he told me later he was so uncomfortable with the head gear on and was having a hard time breathing. Since we have a waiting period they should suggest things like putting the hair up or back since they'll be wearing a head sock plus helmet. Thankfully he made it out safely, He'll only come back when he's older. read more

Not sure how normal they think that is as we kart often with K1 around California/Nevada and have never experienced what we got today. Three separate time the same issue occurred. This is the second year he has his birthday at K1. Last years was in the Ontario location. This year we decided to do it at the Corona location. Corona location is fully remodeled and it's closer to my house. The only down side is that they don't have a full kitchen like the one in Ontario so we had to order from their cater options which was not bad at all. We got the pizza from round table. Corona location is more suitable for little kids since they don't have a bar they don't get a big crowd. I love it because we don't have to worry about drunk people. Had a fun time in the beginning but the workers are assholes. One guy raced with my group and the workers would slow us down and make us crash into each other and let this other guy pass us, they knew what they were doing too because they were laughing and talking about it after (I heard) . Also whenever they would slow us down we would bump into each other and they thought we were doing it on purpose but it was their faults. Hire better people. One guy had a shaved head and the other had massive earring gauges. You'd think paying as much as it costs that at least the workers would be nicer. read more

Fun place to burn half an hour (or hour) depending how many races you plan to do. Really appreciate the electric karts vs. the smelly gas-power version which can be overwhelming indoors. They also have a small but decent selection of arcade games, two hoops and air hockey to pass the time as you wait for your name to be called for the next race. A big shout out to Christian for his impressive customer service and adherence to safety!!! He really took the time to make sure my little one could reach the pedal; that the helmets were on snug and fit and was serious about his visual demo.
