This was a sixty year old bucket list adventure. I went with a 8-year-old, 13 year old ,16 year old and a 37 year old, we had so much fun. Chris and another young fellow were our guides they were so much fun and they kept us all safe and they knew how to encourage others along who do who were a little hesitant. What a great experience I want to go back I want to go back for the 2-hour one now. Oh a quick word to the wise at the end of the slide or the sliding tunnel I sat in the mud puddle and I had a muddy behind all the way home. So I suggest you jump up before you sit in the med puddle. It was so much fun! We are never too old for adventures.

It was a spontaneous decision, and I'm glad I went through with it. Well worth the money, the time and the drive. Great location and while we are on the tour we got a little bit of its history and backstory which was very interesting to hear about. Jason our zipline tour guide along with the other tour guid were great company, very polite they answered all of our questions and concerns and they were very knowledgeable when explaining the safety of everything. My best friend and I hold definitely be back again to do the more extreme course of the ziplone. We very much enjoyed the scenery and stopped to buy some souvenirs before leaving.

Incredible Adventure - Professional Staff & Top-Tier Safety! We had an absolute blast at Skull Canyon! Keirste, Ian, and Brody were fantastic guides--they kept us entertained and laughing the whole time, but it was clear they were completely focused and professional when it came to our safety. We went with the combo package featuring the Extreme Course Zipline and the Full Sky Gym, and it was the perfect choice. The ziplines were exhilarating, especially the speed run at the end which is a must for anyone with a competitive streak! The Sky Gym setup is truly incredible. The way the safety system is designed so you are locked in from start to finish is genius; it really lets you enjoy the adventure without any stress. Pro-Tip: Definitely purchase the GoPro picture package. You get so many high-quality photos and videos of the ziplining that you simply couldn't capture yourself. Getting the entire digital gallery of our experience was totally worth it! Every staff member we encountered was helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back for another round!

We had an AMAZING!!!!! Time. This was a surprise for my daughter's 18th birthday and our guides Miguel and Tony made this such an entertaining, fun and physical excursion. We all had a blast. Our guides were very knowledgeable and patient with the whole group. They gave us facts about the area, pointed out points of interests and the differences between the 3 course options. We did the original course that included a 10 min hike and 6 ziplines. We will definitely do the next course when we visit again. Thank you Miguel, Tony and the whole Skull Canyon Zipline Tour Family.

Such a fun experience and the staff was very welcoming and kind. I really love this concept of Ziplines and the sky gym was super fun! It did not feel rushed at all and it definitely looks easier than done. I would say $75 is a tad overpriced for 2.5 hours. Other than that it was really fun and I can see myself coming back here.

Tons of fun! Zack, Vegas and the whole team were great! Will be back with a larger group for sure!

What a great experience. Staff made it memorable and fun. Everyone was helpful and their patience was appreciated. The extreme course was fantastic! We will be back for more ziplining and other activities.

We had an amazing time. We did the original zip line package it was a great experience for my kids and I. Both Benny and Miguel were very informative regarding safety and were so kind. They both made the experience fun and entertaining. We will be coming again to do the sky gym soon it looks like so much fun!

Great experience! We had a lot of fun with Josh and Kenny. The Ziplines were awesome, we did the original course. The sky gym was crazy too! We only went up to level 2 and it was very exhilarating

Beautiful View on our way to top of the mountain !!

Amazing Experience! Zack and Des are the absolute best! Their energy, banter, training, and knowledge were such a breath of fresh air. We booked the Monster Tour and got lucky--it turned into a private tour since we were the only ones booked at 9 AM on a Monday. The hike is definitely uphill and a bit challenging, but totally doable. It's not "easy," but it's not back-breaking either--ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. If you're even moderately active, you'll be fine. They take breaks when needed and provide water too. I was pretty nervous at first, and both Zack and Des were incredibly patient and understanding. They were encouraging without being pushy, and when I finally got the courage to go for it, they were so supportive and respectful of my fears. By the end of the tour, my nerves were gone and I wasn't stalling anymore. If you're looking for a fun, active tour full of dad jokes, puns, and great conversation--these are your guys. The whole vibe made the tour unforgettable. I'll definitely be back!

The Monster Course was amazing! My friend and I had so much fun. The hike to the highest zip line is described as "strenuous" (by Skull Canyon), but totally doable as there are water breaks. The water is provided by Skull Canyon. The zip lining is high, fast and thrilling. The staff are friendly and they take good care of customers. Our two zip line guides were Kyle and Cruz. They were great. The only thing I don't like about Skull Canyon are the porta potties.

Very friendly staff and guides. You get a practice run with instructions before heading off. The first line has a very steep and rocky ascent which should be highlighted a little more. We were there on a very warm day and there were water stations available before each line. Wish the runs were longer. I've zipped lined before in Canada at a ski slope and in the jungle of the Amazon so I'd say this one was very very beginning level. Still fun as a family adventure but even my grand daughters had zipped lined before and wanted longer runs. They do have more advanced tours but we didn't book those. The scenery is pretty "brown" but the guides tried to make it fun with theme lines like the Hawaiian Island Line. Great place to gather and enjoy some fun.

Best experience!! Shoutout to Kenny, Justin and Jason for giving us a tour for the original zip line tour . They have water stations along the trail so you don't need to bring yours . I would definitely do it again

Ask the Community - Skull Canyon Ziplines

What month is best for pictures?

We came in February and March both of the days were after some rain so everything looked green and pretty. But lately the weather has been wacky here so it's a gamble as one day is sunny then next day it's raining.

How many times can we play on each zipline? Do we need to wait for everyone in the group finish their turns before going to next zipline?

1 time on each line. It's a laid out course going downhill so there's no way to go backwards. And yes, you need to wait for the group because the guides need to ensure everyone's safety. But what a blast! Loved it and can't wait to go back!

Going next week, has anyone used their phone to record by hand on the original Zipline? Or is it too fast to hold onto

I was able to hold onto my phone easily but the video was blurry. I'm guessing it goes too fast and doesn't have time to focus on anything. I did the monster run with 7 zip lines and the only one that worked was the speed run. My phone was able to… Read more

What about possible rain? Does the place close or do ppl with reservations still get to go on the cables?

It drizzled on and off when we were there and had no issues. It made it less hot which was nice. We were assured if it rains hard or lightning we can reschedule to go another time

How difficult is the hike for the extreme zipline?

It's not bad but it's not a hard-packed even path either. There are times where you have to climb some small rocks and step up and over rocks but they are really good at letting everyone go their own pace and not feeling rushed. They stop for breaks… Read more

Does the sky gym level 1 and 2 have a zip line within that obstacle course or is any zip lining activities extra?

Zip lining is separate. The sky gym is all ropes course type obstacles with a leap of faith jump option at the end.

Do you brake yourself?

You do not have to because of how the set up is built. It really depends on weight. If you're light, you will come to a stop automatically at the end of the run and they will pull you in. Otherwise, the zipline crew is there to stop you at the end.

Do we need to buy the tickets online or can we just go there purchase the tickets there?

We called and scheduled ours because there were more of us But go online too so you can pick out your time and day availability

Is it crowded? Does everyone wear masks? How are they dealing with COVID precautions?

No, not crowded at all. Outdoor activity. All employees wore masks. My party of 3 plus another party of 4 plus 2 Skull Canyon guides. My party didn't wear our masks. One person in the other party wore his mask. Two Skull Canyon guides wore their… Read more

What are the prices?

You can find the prices listed online, they have a couple different options. The site outlines what each entails.… Read more

Are their snakes on the trail?

I didn't see any, but they warn you to keep an eye out for snakes.

How old are the limit for the kids?

It's not really the age, it's weight. 60 lbs. for the original course and 100 lbs. for the extreme course. Kids love it!

Can i bring someone to just watch?

You can bring someone but they can't watch. They would have to wait at the check in area at the bottom and would not be able to see you zip-lining until you reached the last line. Might be super boring for them to just sit and wait for 2 hours or… Read more

Is it a must to pay online or is it possible to pay once arriving to the destination?

I'm pretty sure you can call them and make a reservation and pay when you get there. I did find it easier to pay online so I didn't have to take anything with me.

I want to bring someone that is 5 pounds over the weight limit. Are they strict on the 250 lb max?

Yes we are strict on the 250 lbs maximum weight limit.

Whats the weight limit?

250lbs

The program is well thought and structured very well. If you think you're only going through the rope course, think again since there are way more extraordinary things ahead of you. Broad your horizon and come take the course. You won't regret it! Thank you once again for the incredible experience and day to Shawn and Morgan! 1 Star - Very Disappointing Experience…read more We went on an adventure with Action Tours in Big Bear and decided to rent a GoPro from them for $49 (tax included) so we could record the whole experience. What they never told us was that the SD card only holds about 45 minutes of video... even though the tour lasts 3 hours. Because of that, the camera ran out of space before we even really started, and we didn't get to record the full experience at all. When I called afterward to explain the issue, the staff was extremely rude. They basically said, "You rented a GoPro to get a video, and you got a video," and refused to take any responsibility. They made it clear they don't do refunds, even though they never told us about the recording limit in the first place. Overall, the adventure itself is just okay -- you get what you pay for, nothing extra. But the unprofessional and rude staff completely ruined it for us. Definitely do NOT recommend renting the GoPro, and honestly the customer service alone makes it hard to recommend Action Tours at all.

Unfortunately, due to a mistake on our end when marking our calendar, we missed our original booking date. We absolutely acknowledged and took full responsibility for the error, and respectfully reached out to Big Bear Zipline to explain the situation and see what options were available to salvage the experience. As shown in the attached screenshots, we approached the situation kindly, respectfully, and understanding that businesses must balance policies with customer service. We shared that we were not asking for a free experience, but simply hoped for some understanding given the circumstances and the significant payment we had already made. Despite our efforts to find a middle ground, the business remained firm, reiterating that although they "have compassion," they would not accommodate further without additional payment. While we respected their right to enforce their policy, the interaction felt very transactional, and sadly did not reflect the spirit of hospitality we had hoped for when planning a meaningful family trip. We received one email when we purchased the tickets two months ago and one phone call 10 minutes before our scheduled reservation. In the end, it may have been a blessing in disguise. We explored other activities around Big Bear that felt incredibly welcoming, fun, and family-oriented -- experiences that created beautiful memories we will cherish for a lifetime. We share this review not out of anger, but to offer honest feedback: mistakes happen, and sometimes, a little flexibility and kindness could leave a much bigger, positive impact on families looking to create lasting memories.

Highly recommend taking a tour with Sidecar tours!!…read more My husband had been looking at this activity for a long time. He had found it through Groupon. Riding a sidecar in the middle of Temecula while being dropped off at several wineries without having to drive sounded like a unique and fun activity. By the time he was able to purchase it, only the cocktail tour was available. While we usually prefer cocktails, we found out after the fact that those start at 4:00pm and only Mon-Thurs. It didn't sound too fun to drive an hour away on a weekday in traffic to begin and come home late, but we wanted to check it out. A few days before our event was going to take place, the business called me to inform me that they are no longer doing cocktail tours at this time and were trying to get it off Groupon until the businesses working with them were more cooperative with pricing. While I was not thrilled about the last minute change, I was relieved because a big storm was coming the next day (never fails) and it would have been canceled anyway. I also didn't know until after that you mainly ride through Old Town and would not get nearly the amount of sidecar riding. However, they offered to change it to the wine tour and were able to squeeze us in three days later on the weekend so it worked out perfectly. Weather was on our side this time. It was bright and sunny. Bryan, our tour guide and driver texted me the morning of and gave us instructions on where to meet, and the waiver to sign, and that he would also be our professional photographer this day. It turns out Bryan was juggling three parties that day and was constantly on the go moving each party to the next stop. He introduced himself and explained what we would be doing and which wineries we would be visiting. He took a few pictures in the beginning and his phone may as well have been a professional camera! We first started with a fun ride throughout parts of Temecula and through a vineyard (literally!) as well. We got on one main road and went very fast! He gave us a lot of facts about Temecula and the vineyards as we rode. Our first stop was at Chapin winery where we were provided with six tastings of our choosing. I loved every selection! The pizza they made there smelled amazing, but we were full from breakfast (another time for sure!) Bryan explained that if we did want to eat pizza, please order it right away so it had time to cook and be eaten before he came back. He left us to be to relax and enjoy our wine while he took the previous group he had dropped off to the second winery. He texted me when he was on his way back to us and so we could get ready and whatnot. Once he arrived, we hopped back into the sidecar and got an even longer tour of the city and areas and had a longer time to enjoy the next sidecar ride. We stopped by some of the nearby animals such as llamas and he told us facts about the trees in their yard and about them, followed by some facts of the mountains and nearby homes and stopped for those views. Next we were brought to Bella Vista winery and were provided a full bottle of wine! We sat and relaxed and had some more wine while enjoying the views. The party before us was brought back to the starting point. Bryan took some more pictures and we brought the remaining wine back with us. It ended up being a perfect, sunny, great weather day and the business was great the whole time. Bryan was an amazing tour guide and photographer and we highly recommend him. A number of our friends are already considering trying this tour out after hearing about it and seeing the pictures.
