Nothing ever feels rushed, and she makes the whole experience so comfortable and easy. You can tell she genuinely cares about her work and her clients. My son had longer, beautiful hair that curled into little ringlets in the back and chunky bangs. It was more of an old-fashioned look, or sometimes looked 70s/80s, but had very much become a signature of his. His bangs were in his eyes and he'd no longer let me trim them, so I took him here after months of seeking recommendations and reading reviews, and trying to find a place that wouldn't just try to clip his hair close to his head because he's a boy. I asked for his bangs to be trimmed and out of his eyes and the back about 1/2 inch shorter. And here we are. I knew she was cutting a lot, but I expected it to at least be a good cut, even if it was shorter than I might have wanted it. These are just a few examples of how it is terribly uneven. It is longer over one ear than another, and there are layers everywhere that just look choppy and are not at all consistent. It looks like the toddler tried to cut his hair himself. The last thing she tried to do was layer his bangs, which is a weird thing to do, and now the top layer sticks up straight and looks ridiculous. It's not just that this isn't what I wanted or isn't close to what his hair used to look like. It is an objectively terrible haircut. Everyone who has seen it thinks it is bad and cannot contain their reactions of sadness and disbelief, which surely is great for his self-esteem. All we can do is let it grow out, but parts of that will take a VERY long time given how short these layers were placed.

I was mortified and made sure to call the salon twice to update them on our ETA and apologized profusely and thanked them for still making it work. When we arrived, we were quickly told that the French tip manicure wouldn't be possible since we had to be out by 6 to make a hair appointment. Totally fair enough so my kid sat down for a regular manicure. (Please note the salon was completely empty save for one other person.) But the two manicurists couldn't stop gossiping about us, involving even the one other client who was there. Eventually i was embarrassed to keep hearing them mutter about us being late and the appointment we needed to still make, and laughing about it as though my child and I were invisible, so I decided that it was best for us to leave. Just unnecessary meanspiritedness. So many other professionals out there who will treat you like a human being. Go elsewhere.
