Said they would need to drill a hole in the bottom of the pool to drain the water, I told them they actually didn't because it was a soft bottom pool which the salesperson didn't seem familiar with. The water table is too high to drill a hole being close to the river and I can drain it with a trash pump and 100 feet of 3 in hose that I could take care of myself. Explained that I wanted the concrete deck around the pool also taken out and they said it can be used as fill material, which they also said they do frequently and it would be no problem. Talked about adding some gravel to the concrete fill and compacting everything every 18 inches or so to ensure things were stable and wouldn't settle later. Said they do this routinely as well. Also asked for 12 inches of top soil, which they said was no problem. Finally got the quote and it was actually wrong. It listed an entire pool's worth of clean fill material (over 100 cubic yards is needed) and 12,000 dollar charge with no breakdown showing reuse of the concrete decking as fill material, indicated disposal of pool equipment which I told them I would take out and sell on my own (I installed it), no breakdown in material costs for the remaining fill, no labor costs, and just general description of the actual work to be done and a line for me to pay the permit fees separately. I've had lots of contractors at my house and have never been asked to pay a separate fee for a permit, they've always included the permit fee in the job quotes. I contacted them and told them the quote was nothing like what we discussed and asked them to revise it based on the conversation that was held about concrete reuse, the amount of fill material, and the pool equipment. They said they would provide a new quote. New quote never showed up. I can't speak for anyone else's experience, but this was one of the worst contractor interactions I've ever been associated with for just simply getting a quote. Can't even begin to imagine how much oversight I would have to give them for the work to prevent errors if they can't even provide an accurate quote. I don't recommend them.

After they were quite eager "to get us on the calendar" and get the job going, halfway through the job without a heads up, they pulled the crew off our project for at least a week and it was evidently incumbent on me to find out what was going on. There were other, smaller instances it seemed to me that the office should/could have apprised me of things as they arose but ultimately we were happy with the results.

From the very first walkthrough to the final sweep‑up, the quality of your work and your commitment to doing things right were clear throughout the entire process. The tile lines are crisp and consistent, the fixtures are installed flawlessly, and every finish looks polished and professional. Your crew arrived on time each day, treated our home with care, and kept the work area tidy and well‑organized. What really distinguished your team was your steady communication and dependability. You laid out the timeline clearly, checked in whenever small choices needed to be made, and never tried to upsell anything unnecessary. We also appreciated how you spotted potential issues early and offered smart suggestions that ultimately made the space more functional. The finished bathroom is beautiful, sturdy, and already drawing compliments. I would gladly work with PowerUp Construction again and highly recommend your team to anyone looking for a reliable, high‑quality contractor.

Roman who came and completed the initial measurements for a different idea that I had only because I have a new build and wasn't sure of the idea of a walkin was doable at the moment and I didn't want to void the warranty of my new floors by cutting into my floors for a built in dinningroom buffet. So I explained to him what I truly wanted was walk in pantry but didn't know where to start. So he checked my pantry and garage after he completed the initial measurements for the buffet. He checked with his lead Vitaly who came and check it out made sure everything was ok and said they could expand my pantry instead. They both came back and checked it out and then did a finally measurements and then all of the info was sent to Lowell. They started the work and had inspections done throught the process and even got done ahead of schedule. Next I met with Lowell in design where we went through ideas of what I wanted, types of cabinets, design ideas etc. Lowell also handled all of the paperwork, finacials, and kept things on track with all the steps and appointments We met a few times throught the process up until the final design was approved and the ordering of the items that were needed were delivered to my home. Once the items were delivered Roman and Eugene made sure everything was delivered and in good condition and came back and went to work. This was my first experience with any type of renovations for my home and I am so glad that I did and it turned out great. Now I have plans for my master bathroom to get done and I will definitely will be going with Powerup again! I would recommend PU to anyone that wants quality craftsmanship, professional, hardworking, no cutting corners, liscenced and are legit!
