During my most recent visit, I arrived 15 minutes early and checked to confirm if my technician would be available at my scheduled time. The receptionist mentioned they should be finishing up with a walk-in client shortly. Unfortunately, I wasn't seen until nearly 30 minutes after my appointment time, resulting in about a 45-minute wait overall. Had I known there would be such a delay, I could've easily stepped out to run an errand and returned without issue. A little more transparency with timing would go a long way. That said, I still enjoyed my visit and would recommend this place. My advice for anyone on a tight schedule is to be proactive and assertive when confirming your appointment time. I arrived at 6:00 PM and requested a chrome French tip with a flame design and overlay tips. The technician agreed, but after multiple failed attempts (including spending 20 minutes trying to do one flame), I had to settle for a much simpler design because it was clear she could not deliver what was promised. The pedicure portion didn't even begin until after 8:00 PM and then felt completely rushed since the salon was already closed. For the price I paid, rushed and subpar work is unacceptable. To make matters worse, my big toe was done incorrectly, and instead of fixing it during my appointment, I was told to come back another day. No client paying this amount should have to return to fix a mistake that should have been corrected on the spot. I contacted the salon to resolve the issue, and instead of taking accountability, the manager (Helen) argued with me on the phone for over 10 minutes and refused to offer any type of refund or reasonable resolution. This experience showed a lack of skill, poor time management, and unprofessional customer service from both staff and management. I asked for a luxe pedicure she gave me a rush job. At first she stated she couldn't do it, due to an incident that happened at her home. I was getting ready to leave. Then, she stated she could do it. I got a shellac pink on my hand and feet. Wendy basically stated that African American people do not pick a light color. They like brighter colors like blue, green, orange basically a bold color. I felt it was very stereotypical. All people get all colors. I came back the next day for the manicure. I had to ask her several times to get the skin off of nails. She did a horrible job. She kept saying she would get the dry skin after. I feel like if you don't want to do the job right.
