    Corn dog and root beer
    Sara G.

The food here traditional drive in food. It's made to order and yummy. The corn dogs are my favorite, they are foot long and hand dipped to order...reminds me of the fair. But the best thing to have is their homemade root beer! The service is quick and always friendly. If your looking for a drive up, tailgate date night or hangout with friends, this local drive-in is just the spot.

Amarillo, Texas --- "KN Root Beer" is a "Run-A-Way Bill" Favorite MUST visit when in Amarillo drive-in (/drive-up) restaurant. In business since 1968, "KN" makes me glad I found this place. You drive up and a smilin' server comes to your car/truck, takes your order & delivers it, while you sit comfortably in your warm or air conditioned comfort. Nostalgic window trays are available too. My server "Tessa" remembers me even though I only make it to Amarillo once a year (or longer) as I tour Historic Route 66 from time-to-time. "Tessa" recommended the Root Beer Milk Shake and it was yummy-riffic!!! The "Buy 1 Get 1 FREE" cheese dog with chili, cheese & onions is a tasty-riffic deal too. Thanks for the smiles Tessa! "Run-A-Way Bill" was here! .... and will return 01.26.21

Disappointing, twice the price, half the portion as other places. Nothing special to set it apart justify it. Frito pie was stale and had black ink in my cup

A real live root beer at a real live drive-in. I'm happy.

I've been here a few times now.. I came once on my last trip four months ago. I just got a gigantic large root beer which of course I couldn't finish so I got a to-go cup to take the rest back to my motel room. The next time, this trip, I stopped one hot day when I was thirsty it had the sense to get a smaller size. Another time, I got a small root beer float. When they said small, they weren't kidding. It was about an 8 oz glass that was mostly foam and hardly any root beer. It tasted delicious but if I got it again I'd want to get the medium maybe. Another time, I was hungry but trying to eat cheap so I got their small barbecue sandwich and it was perfect. If I lived in town, I'm pretty sure I would be a regular here. I wonder if they close for the winter? My favorite root beer drive-in in Indiana does and I always kick myself if I miss it.

Nice greasy burger and fries with an old fashioned car hop and a frosty mug of delicious root beer. Best burger I've had while in Amarillo.

Is it pretty quick? Coming through town and would like to stop somewhere quick.

Pretty standard. Probably no more than five minutes for a couple, maybe a couple minutes longer for a family of 4, because it's usually cooked fresh. No, I'm not an employee.

But if your idea of culinary heaven involves a grease-stained paper liner, an old-school Texas roadhouse vibe, and a burger that requires structural support, you have arrived at the right place. Nestled just a few blocks off Interstate 40 in a historic, diminutive former dance hall moved wholesale from neighboring Claude, Texas, Coyote Bluff is tiny. With only about 12 tables packed into its 1,000 square feet, the atmosphere is alive with a loud, friendly hum, a dirt parking lot, and a vintage bathtub floating full of ice and cold beer bottles. The place is amazing!!!! The unique steaming process is really amazing. You have to try the chili cheese fries to go with it. The menu keeps its focus tight, centering around half-pound patties of lean Texas ground beef cooked to order. While traditional options like the Hickory Burger and the Green Chili Cheese Burger are stellar, the undisputed heavyweight titleholder here is the legendary Burger from Hell. I had to try it, my wife opted for the Chicken Fried Steak. Many approach the "Hell Burger" with great trepidation, expecting it to be more of a gimmick built strictly on painful, mouth-numbing heat. Instead, it offers a beautifully layered flavor profile. The beef patty with Tabasco and their proprietary "Coyote Hell Sauce," then smothers it in gooey melted cheese, grilled onions, and fresh, vibrant sautéed jalapeños. It arrived on a toasted onion bun, it lands a solid 7 out of 10 on the heat scale. But rather than scorching your palate, it wraps it in a vinegary, spicy, deeply savory warmth. This place also serves up classic, heavy-hitting Texas roadhouse appetizers: Each of these are amazing sides and are worth of mentioning, First the Cheese Fries with Green Chiles, which I had with my burger and my wife had with her Chicken fried steak, it is served on a massive aluminum platter, these fresh-cut fries are heavily blanketed in melted cheese and mild green chiles. They are a mandatory companion to the burgers.  Other appetizers worth of note, are the Texas Red Chili & Green Chili Stew: The thick, hearty green chili stew is packed with meat and mild green peppers, offering a wonderful warming comfort, especially during cool Panhandle days.  and any of the Fried options ranging from baskets of battered fried pickles, garlic mushrooms, and stuffed jalapeños. Because everything is cooked to order and the dining room is incredibly compact, expect a wait during lunch rushes or weekends. However, that time spent waiting in the dirt lot among locals and passing road-trippers is part of the charm. Coyote Bluff Cafe doesn't try to be anything other than a spectacular, small-town Texas burger joint, and it executes that identity flawlessly. This is a MUST Stop in Texas

Well, that was us today -- and Bubba's 33 absolutely delivered. My husband ordered the smash burger, and I got the New England-style fish and chips, plus a full order of their hand-breaded, hand-cut onion rings that are honestly to die for. We picked everything up just 15 minutes after ordering, and every single item tasted like it had just come straight from the kitchen to our table. The onion rings were perfectly crispy with that fresh-from-the-fryer crunch and flavor. The fish had that classic crunchy beer batter on the outside while still being flaky and tender inside, and the garlic mashed potatoes were clearly homemade with just the right amount of garlic. Now let's talk about the smash burger... it was HUGE. Seriously, it could feed three people. My husband practically inhaled it before I could even take a picture! What really impressed me wasn't just the portion sizes -- it was the attention to detail. The onion rings were packaged separately so they stayed crisp, and the savory Bubba's 33 sauce paired perfectly with them. We each ate several onion rings and STILL had leftovers. Even the side salad was incredibly fresh. I'm obsessed with those little crispy potato straws on top, and the homemade ranch is the perfect finishing touch. Honestly, it was refreshing to order takeout and not have a single issue. Nothing missing, nothing cold, nothing soggy or stale -- just an exceptional meal from start to finish. Huge shoutout to the cooking staff and online order prep team at Bubba's 33. You all absolutely crushed it tonight. We will definitely be ordering again and again!
