I love Mexican food and although this is probably more in the Tex-Mex category, I love it. There are so many dishes on their menu that I like very much and I really like their chips and salsa. They also make homemade flour tortillas on site and I always get a side of tortillas if they don't already come with my entree. If you're still a bit hungry when you're done, stop at their sister store next door and get some pan dolce (Mexican sweet breads or pastries) or a bag of their delicious handmade tortilla chips to go! read more

Best house margaritas around and deserves a five star review on its own. Food is just okay, not my favorite for Mexican cuisine and it's a bit pricey in my opinion. The fabuloso smell can be very overwhelming at times making it hard to breathe. Loud restaurant so not suitable for an intimate dinner. Service is typically great. read more

Holy moly- this was some seriously good Mexican food. My husband and I were in town for a very short time but had heard good things and wanted to try them out. We were greeted by a very friendly host and seated immediately. Once we got to our table, we received warm tortilla chips and perfectly seasoned salsa. We ordered the chicken and steak nachos and house margs on the rocks. The margs were really good and did their job. The nachos were out of this world good. And they were so filling! It was not a plate of chips with a couple toppings- they were LOADED and delicious. We definitely want to go back for more than appetizers next time! read more

My friend has his bday here every year. He has now made everyone think k machos is a KC restaurant landmark. This past week, he made his friends eat here twice in 3 days. For me, I always drove past it or missed my chance to eat here but I finally made it for his birthday dinner. I have been to a lot of sit down Mexican restaurants and I have to say I really enjoyed k machos. I went to the one in Olathe with a large group for the bday. We waited until our group could be seated and ordered drinks while we waited. Once we were seated, we had time to order drinks, enjoy them, and order food. The food came out in an appropriate amount of time based on how many plates we ordered. We were checked up on regularly and all the food tasted hot and fresh. I was surprised by the quality compared to other places. They had a singer as well who came around and sang which was a nice touch. It wasnt loud enough that we couldn't have a conversation. Hello, I experienced an exceptional meal at K Machos. It was a perfect day. Our server Sophie, (it was her first day) was amazing. A wonderful sweet girl, I couldn't imagine a better server. She definitely deserves a raise. She was working her tail off today, but still had time to be social and friendly with us. It was fun and felt very personal and special. I would very much recommend her to anyone and everyone. The food was perfect, I ordered Nena's Quesadillas and they were great. Personally, I don't eat guacamole and pico, so I cannot comment on the quality of those. But, The quality of the chicken quesadillas was wonderful and I'd definitely recommend it. The environment was great as well. It was very friendly and light. All of the employees were kind, and the wait wasn't too long. We had a variety of meals for a birthday party of eight people. There were no complaints! All of the dishes from appetizers to entrees through the desserts, were excellent - fresh, delicious, and delivered quickly to our table. The beverages were delightful, too. I must compliment the excellent service by our waiter, Julian. First time at K Macho's and I loved it. I was in the area for a show and I'm so sad it's so far away from home for me. The food was delicious. Chips and salsa perfect. I have been back to K Macho's quite a few times over the years since the first review I made. The Food is always excellent here, I usually order one of the big burritos they have or some fajitas. My daughter likes the chips and the cheese dips that you can order with it. I won't take any stars away for this, but my biggest complaint here is that it is always too busy, so there is usually a wait to get a table, and sometimes you feel like you have been packed into the dining area because they try to have as many tables as they can get in there. I guess I can't complain too much that EVERYONE seems to love the place. read more

Although it has been a few years since I've been to this K-Machos (Olathe) I was left less than impressed with the quality. I ordered a crispy taco for my 2yr old. Coming out of the kitchen, it was a soggy mess. Almost like it was dunked in a hot water bath, then wrapped up. The 2 beef fajita chimi's, I've had better. The steak although flavorful, had a texture was over cooked. Some pieces were borderline crunchy. Steak should never be crunchy. Salsa to go with the chips? Styrofoam bowl had approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch of salsa in it. Overall, I'm not impressed with this meal. read more

I have been going to k machos my whole life and I can not remember having a bad experience. The servers have always been kind and and the food is exquisite. Today was not any different. Today we had a sever and it was her first day. Her name was Sophie. Today being her first day was shocking. We could tell she has had prior restaurant experience. Sophie was so kind and friendly. She took time to be friendly even though we never saw her take a break. Sophie was obviously a hard worker she was constantly running and helping others severs as well as her costumers. The food was so amazing and we are even able to costumize your order and order things that were not on the menu The quality of this restaurant can not be ranked on stars.
