I stopped by K Brew - West Hills while passing through the area and filling up my car with gas nearby. The place has a really cool vibe with hammocks and plenty of chill spots to sit. Everything looked very clean, including the bathrooms, and the staff was friendly with good recommendations. I ordered the hot honey bagel $2.50 with scallion cream cheese $2.60 (3.25oz cup) and a honey lavender latte $8.00 with almond milk. The bagel was a little dry for my taste (being a New Yorker I'm used to NYC-style bagels), but the cream cheese was smooth/flavorful, perfectly creamy with the right chive ratio. The lavender latte was excellent--fragrant and really well balanced. Be ready to spend a bit. My BAGEL/cream cheese and latte came out to almost $15. Still a nice spot and I'd come back for the latte and the vibe. read more

After discovering that our favorite local coffee chain location in the mall was closed permanently (whomp whomp), Yelp came through with K Brew. Looked at their menu online and they served matcha -- let's go! The inside is deceiving from the outside. It seems like a small little coffee shop, but once inside it's HUGE. Lots of seating, including hanging chairs. Will have to check those out next time. I saw a specialty drink on the menu with espresso and rosemary simple syrup. You do NOT want to see me on coffee/espresso!! I figured I'd just add the rosemary simple syrup to my matcha. The server told me it was a "weird rule" that they're not allowed to add their "specialty drinks" syrups to any other drinks. I was disappointed, but I'll live. Maybe someday this "rule" can go away? We were visiting Knoxville for the weekend and decided to stop by this coffee shop in our way back home . We ordered a regular latte and Cinnamon vanilla latte and they both were great. For food I got Club Bagel Sandwich without the bacon . It had turkey , cheese , tomato and garlic aioli and it tasted VERY GOOD ! The bagel was big enough for two people to share so definitely check the size before ordering . The sandwich was so good that I finished it all by myself ! We also got a bag of coffee beans to take home and try their coffee . There's plenty of room to sit and enjoy your coffee plus they have hammocks in the back . My visit to K Brew West Knox was excellent! I went there to get some work done and got there right when they opened at 7 am, so I had my pick of tables. By 9 am, the place was packed and buzzing with activity. I ordered a honey bear latte, and wow, it was so good--definitely give it a try! I also had an egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel, and it hit the spot for breakfast. It was a bit tricky for me, though, because I'm originally from NYC, so I had to resist the urge to compare it to my favorite places back home! read more

For me, it's the best one I've ever had in the world. Not exaggerating. The Cruze farm milk is so creamy and they put the perfect amount of ice and honey syrup. I absolutely love this place! Two baristas helped me navigate the menu and were able to answer my question about their alternative milk with such kindness. They eve assured me that it was a great question. The peach cobbler latte was incredible, and was made super fast! Plenty of comfortable seating, as well as high top bar style seating. They had music that wasn't too loud but upbeat and fun. A great workspace, and social gathering which can be hard to pull off both at the same time. A little more expensive then other places, my latte with almond milk was $8.50 but it was very delicious. I love the open windows as well. I didn't try any food, but it all looked great. read more

This place is obviously super cool and popular. It was absolutely PACKED on a Thursday morning and the parking lot was full. Many people camped out with laptops working and countless chatty hangout sessions. If you do plan to work there, I highly recommend noise-canceling headphones because it was loud and the tables all close together. The vibe is definitely hipster/modern, with metal seating and a few hammocks (that no one was using)-a great grab-and-go spot. If you want a cozier spot to curl up with a book or play a game with more of a living room feel, there are definitely other spots in town that fit the bill. You order at the counter and there are bagels and breakfast sandwiches, chips, coffee beans sold by the bag, and of course, coffee galore. I ordered a small mocha and medium whole milk latte for my friend and I and will admit that I was a bit surprised by the price. My mocha was tasty, but unfortunately lukewarm. The coffee was quality, though and not too sweet. My friend seemed to enjoy her latte and had high praise for her many K Brew visits. I will surely come back and also try out the new location with a drive-thru, as I am not sure this is a spot I would want to sit and relax in. This was an early Saturday morning breakfast adventure and the morning sky was beautiful! Whenever my husband and I order bagels, we always order a savory and a sweet. Both choices were delicious! They gave a generous amount of meat on the savory that I could only eat half of my half of the sandwich. Well, that was because I devoured the sweet bagel...it came out first. One of my favorite coffee shops in the country. Every time I go down south I pit stop at one of their locations. They have developed innovative flavors using house syrups instead of the sugar heavy fake flavor syrups in most coffee shops. My most preferred lattes - Mexican hot chocolate, peppermint mocha (best I have ever had anywhere), honey lavender. Their teas are also fantastic such as the Juniper earl gray and London fog. Also their bagels are as amazing as their coffee. I find Knoxville coffee to be as great as Portland or San Francisco. read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shop atmospheres in Knoxville, but pray that you don't have to go to the restrooms while you're here. The restrooms and the entire area in the back smells like someone mixed bacon grease with bathroom cleaner and boy does it stink. Every time I go to the bathroom, I feel like I'm going to be sick. Even sitting near the hallway that leads to the bathroom reeks of this smell rendering the back half of the coffee shop near useless. It's disgusting. If you're sensitive to bad smells, or if you're just an average human, I'd advise you to use the restroom before you come. But other than this, I love this place! read more

This place is heavily overpriced for what you get. Coming from Atlanta, you can find equal or much better coffee elsewhere for a better price. My cup was not even the size of half your hand for $6. There's better coffee elsewhere. I also do not prefer the roasts here, I am a dark roast coffee drinker. The medium and light roasts here give it a much more sour taste if that's something you're into. The management didn't seem to care that there were just kids playing on the hammocks with parents at another table now taking up 2 places for patrons to sit. I tired the toasted coconut with chocolate syrup and whipped cream and they didn't have the whipped cream. They have vanilla cream but if I wanted vanilla, I would have ordered vanilla. (which I despise) Interesting to me that the cream cheese is served on the side, but I guess that saves them time. Every time I have come here the staff have always been so great! They are very nice and always explain the drinks to me if I have questions. Their coffee is definitely on the more expensive side compared to other places I have seen so this is not a place I would be able to go to all the time but it is a good treat. Their bagels are amazing!! I have gotten their lox bagels which is so good! The atmosphere is always super busy, there are tons of tables and also a bar seating arrangement against the window so it's a really good place to study if you're ok with the loud coffee background. read more

K Brew is my favorite Knoxville coffee shop. I am in Knoxville frequently for business and make it a point to leave enough time in the morning to stop in for a great cup of coffee. On my last visit, I tried a breakfast sandwich. That was such a treat! Solid enough to hold me over until lunch without leaving me feeling icky and sleepy. The coffee is good, service is slow but I went on a Wednesday at 10 am. Prices are nuts. Cold brew is the easiest thing in the world to make, and a small cup of it is nearly $5. Starbucks is better and cheaper! Oat milk is another $1 for a splash on top? (that they even forgot until i picked it up at the counter and reminded them). I don't know any coffee shop that charges so much. Staff is nice, the spreads are house made and a generous portion. Gorgeous atmosphere in the shop. We were looking forward to trying K brew but found the food was not edible, We had breakfast sandwiches: one bacon one sausage and both tasted bad, were greasy, and the bagel was dry and flavorless. I got additional strawberry cream Cheese to try and mask the flavor of the egg and bacon but found it flavorless, and expensive for a little amount given. My espresso was lukewarm warm at best. For 2 sandwiches and coffee it was $30. Way too expensive for what you get. read more

Ever since I moved to Knoxville, Kbrew has been my #1 stop for coffee. Even when I lived in Oak Ridge, I would gladly make the trek to North Knoxville just to have a cup of their coffee, or try one of their specialty drinks. To say that I've been waiting for this location to open is an understatement - there are no decent coffee shops on the west side, independent or corporate. Kbrew couldn't have chosen a better location, and their bagels are just as good as their coffee. Like I said in my previous review for their other location, the coffee is always brewed to perfection, setting the foundation for tasty drinks. The bagels are surprisingly pretty perfect - a thin, crispy crust on the outside that doesn't scrape your mouth when you bite into it, and a chewy interior that holds up to spreads and sandwich fixings! I'll have to limit myself to trying one bagel flavor at a time, because every bagel has been completely delicious, whether it's in an egg sandwich or just toasted with some butter or spread. Since they just opened this location, you can tell they're working out some kinks, but at least the deliver on both coffee and bagels! My one major suggestion is to have some sort of bussing area for customers - everyone had to ask for napkins or utensils, and a lot of dirty, used dishes and cups were just strewn around the area because there's nowhere obvious to leave it. This new location is open and more spacious, and even has a little homage to the North Knoxville location with an indoor hammock area that mirrors the other location. Once they get all the kinks out of their system, I have no doubt this Kbrew location will be one of the most successful shops in West Knoxville! read more
