Visited here on a Wednesday and it was so cute, lots of great specials and the latte is huge! Making it worth the $7. The owner was so sweet. I'm starting to become a regular here, I love that I can get coffee and lunch. They also have the best iced chai lattes out of all the places I've been. The atmosphere is very cozy. I'm going to give it a 4/5 just because sometimes it is a little loud in there. I like to take a book to read, and I don't have a problem with people talking and carrying conversations, but sometimes large groups come in from the college and high school nearby and cut up. I wish they would respect people who are there to do school work/work remote or read and have quiet time a little more. read more

The shop had an amazing atmosphere and a great location. Unfortunately, I ordered an iced honey latte and it was a complete dud. The barista used an either a cold espresso or cold brew concentrate and the honey had no chance to dissipate into the latte. As an iced latte with no flavors/syrups, it's great, but not what I ordered. Definitely want to give it another try but disappointed with my first stop in. read more

Stopped in on the way to work on Friday. Got an americano and a caprese grilled cheese sandwich. Very friendly work, place was clean and neat. I will have to say I really enjoyed not only my drink, but the sandwich was one of the best I have had at a coffee shop ever. I am taking the idea and plan to make it at home. I would stop in and get it here, but the 8 hour round trip drive make for a long day. Thank you for the great service and wonderful meal. read more

This little gem in downtown Powell is an absolute must to visit if you like great coffee and excellent pastries and desserts. Went in last week with a friend and had coffee and a bagel. The barista's name was Rudy and he knew his coffee. He gave us a steaming cup of the blend that morning and it was great! Rich and full of flavors, some recognizable and some not. The bagel was toasted and tasted fresh. My buddy had a bagel with egg and bacon and said that, as always, it was good. I plan to go back and enjoy Life House many times. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday morning, and really appreciated the friendly staff. The coffee shop had tons of space to hang out or get work done, and the ambience was very relaxing. My gf and I got a cold brew and cappuccino and both were very good. Was surprised the difference between a 12 oz and 20 oz cold brew was 25 cents, but no complaints here! I most likely won't be back since I was visiting relatives who are moving soon, but would recommend to anyone considering stopping by! read more

This place is vary quiet, not a lot ofbpeople come in, which, is good because my husband doesnt like crouded places, the soups tasted like they were canned. The coffee was great! I love the decorations. read more

I hate to write a review like this, but hopefully the management will see this and make a change. I went in today and asked for a London Fog, which is an earl grey tea latte with vanilla flavoring, and is a very common drink in a coffee house. The woman running the counter wasn't familiar with what it was, so I explained it to her, to which she then kind of laughed and asked what earl grey tea was, then told me that they didn't have it (odd for a coffee shop, but okay). I then asked for a chai tea latte, and she rang it up and charged me $4.50 for it. She then made me a cup of iced 2% milk with a few pumps of chai tea flavoring syrup. I understand that this is a way of helping to fund the church next to it, but good grief! If you're going to be a coffee house, make sure you know how to make basic items, and have a general selection of teas, especially when hot teas are advertised on your menu. I hope that this changes because Powell could definitely use a good coffeehouse. read more

Life house coffee is one of the cutest coffee shops you will find in knoxville. Very friendly service and the prices are very comparable to other local coffee shops. Definitely recommend this for a date or a study place. Go in October and get their pumpkin drink. It was my favorite. read more

I, like the other woman who gave this establishment a 1 star review hate to do this based on the merit of the seemingly good people that own the shop, but it must be noted that if you're looking for "good coffee"...this isn't the place for that..I have been many times hoping that maybe because it is so close to where I work and live, that the results will change, but to no avail. The "baristas" (and I use that term very loosely), working here have no knowledge of coffee...today will be my last visit. I ordered a flat white and literally was given milk and espresso and then the person who made it proceeded to use a stir stick to stir the drink and all of the foam that is present in a normal flat white, then put a lid on it and handed it to me as if it was an accomplishment. No one was there except for another family and a woman that came in and seemingly didn't pay but I was apologized to repeatedly with the statement that he was swamped..I too realize that this is a church affiliated shop, and that is fine, but I have honestly never gotten a single coffee item that tasted good..I drink a lot of coffee from a lot of places and for a coffee shop...that should be top priority.
