What makes it even better is their mission. They partner with coffee growers in places like Haiti and invest back into those communities, so your coffee is actually doing some good too. Food and drinks are also on point. The "Mamba" is a spicy peanut butter spread on a bagel--simple but so good and a little different. a Saturday treat! Daniel rates his espresso a 4/5 and my matcha is also a 4/5. My matcha wasn't entirely blended at the bottom, but the raspberry flavor made up for it and it complimented the matcha so well! As far as setting goes, Seed is the best in Knox! Stopped in Knoxville for a quick pick-me-up and this place didn't disappoint. I would consider myself a coffee snob and it truly lived up to my standards, not to mention it was SO affordable. In addition to giving quality sound, they have good placement. They sit down low, not too far from ear level. Most of the other coffee shops in Knoxville mount them up high like they do in department stores. The shop is split into two rooms, letting you choose between vibes. Oftentimes, one is more chatty while the other room remains quiet. Plus, they keep a little jungle's worth of plants that lets the room breathe. Furnishing accommodates a variety of seating preferences: leather couches and lounge chairs if you're in comfy mode, a high bar with stools (which I use as a standing desk), and plenty of two‑tops and fast Wi-Fi for head‑down laptop grind. Their coffee holds its own. I'm a black‑drip guy, and theirs pours smooth. No burnt bite. No weird aftertaste. Order "for here" and they hand you a ceramic mug. A warm touch that carries quality. Seed Coffee is such a great space for quiet work or conversation and community. They have a variety of outdoor and indoor seating, truly offering you the best of what coffee shops have to offer. It can be challenging in a small space to make it feel like everyone can have their own space, but they have accomplished it. I really love the light, airy and natural feel of space. Wow. I love what Seed Coffee Co has done with this space! The interior is gorgeous and the perfect spot to work for a couple hours or meet a friend. Plus they have a ton of outdoor seating if the weather is nice. The coffee is great! My go-to is a honey latte and they nailed it. They have a wide range of syrup and alternative milk options to suit anyone's needs. BUT DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE BREAKFAST BAGEL. 10/10 stars!! My order is a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and it is delish! I've already been 3x in the first 2 weeks they've been open and it's clear the staff is still learning, but it's never taken them more than 5-10 minutes even with a long line. And they are SO NICE! The perfect start to the morning. Take my advice and skip the Starbucks, support local (plus some of the proceeds go to their charity partner in Haiti)! read more
